Watercolors Intense Metallic Color Depositing Shampoo, Rose Gold, 8 Fl Oz

I really enjoy this product. I experienced two different stylists royally destroy my gray blending session and I ended up with very much unwanted platinum blonde highlights. I've tried a number of things to tone it down while it grows out. Definitely not letting anyone else touch my hair. This covers the platinum blonde with steel gray that looks surprisingly natural. It also tones down the weird red color that was left over after one stylist stripped my hair. I naturally have medium ash brown hair and this brings it back to cool ashy tones, rather than the weird hollow red. I can apply it twice a week without it weighing my hair down. If it has a fragrance, it's mild because I haven't noticed it. I don't know if it cleanses on it's own because I use my typical shampoo, apply this-lather-let sit, then rinse and do my conditioning routine. It's cheaper and easier than applying a demi-permanent color every six weeks. If you find yourself in my position with overbleached hair that you don't want to color treat again, this is a great work around!

I am thrilled with this product. I have been a redhead for more than 30 years and shudder to think what I would look like without my fiery red hair. Anyone who dyes their hair red knows that after washing it it fades, and by the end of a month it's not the same color anymore. NOT WITH THIS. I started buying Water Colors liquid copper a year ago. That one has red/red in it. But my hair is actually a combo of the red/red copper and this metallic orange copper. So I took a chance and ordered the metallic copper and decided to mix both of these shampoos together. WOW -- the result is that my hair stays exactly the same color as what I came home with. If it weren't for my roots growing in so fast, I would not have to go in every 4 weeks. I'd be able to go for 6. TO USE: I always start with a shampoo my hairdresser makes to make sure my hair is clean. After that, I work in both color shampoos starting with the ends, then both sides of my head, and finally the top. This shampoo lathers up like crazy and it is sulfur free. Once I'm all lathered up, I leave it in for a few minutes (take that time to shave my legs). Then I rinse and condition my hair using 2 different conditioners. I have fairly long wavy hair so I scrunch it and let it dry on its own. Because I use so much conditioner, my hair is never left looking or feeling dry and scraggly. It shines and it's very soft. I know it sounds like a lot of work, but it's really not. Showering and then shampooing doesn't take longer than 15, 20 minutes tops. Additionally, since my hair is long, I like to do different things with it. And ever since I started using this product, whenever I pile my hair on top of my head in a bun, it's the first time I'm not seeing two different colors (roots versus rest of my hair). My hairdresser specializes in redheads and has never seen a redhead come back with the same color she left with. Now he recommends this brand of color shampoos (depending on which color the redhead is) to all of his redhead clients. I was lucky to find this shampoo and so happy I did. I will never stop using it. I have only one word of caution: it's very messy, but not a lot of work to clean the tub/shower. Most of it just goes down the drain with the water. Whatever doesn't only requires a sponge and a cleansing agent of your preference.

I have white hair that sometimes turns yellow. So my stylist recommended the steel shampoo. It seems to work pretty well. It does leave my hair a little darker when I first wash it. I would recommend this product.

The packaging DOES suck, and it will probably show up in a package with shampoo all over the place. HOWEVER....I'm hooked. I've only used it once, and it has completely redeemed a super bad dye job that my friend did for me. It went on evenly, which I can't say of a lot of leave-in conditioners. It was way less staining than I thought. I brought gloves to use in the shower, but didn't end up using them. If you're used to hairdye, you know your shower will always have some sort of mess afterward, but it wasn't that bad. Huge fan. Will definitely buy again. My hair feels great, and I feel like I can go out in public again. Picture is after 2 washes with the shampoo.

I love this temporary color! I have highlighted dirty blond hair that’s starting to go gray. This dyed only my highlights, not my real color or gray strands. The more you use it, the brighter the color. This picture is after 2 shampoos.

Definitely deposits color. I liked the scent, which doesn't linger, and it didn't feel too drying, though I've certainly tried more nourishing shampoos. I'm giving it only 3 stars because it made my scalp hurt. I don't have a history of sensitivity to hair or beauty products, but this shampoo left my scalp feeling raw and burning. I tried it twice, a week apart to let my scalp recover in between. The raw feeling occurred both times. If you know you won't have the same feeling, this might be for you! (I color my hair myself at home, but I don't use a lot of other products. Maybe if you're used to a wide variety of things, you won't run into the same problem.)

I love this stuff. It works very well, I have also used their Watercolor Tress Liquid Copper version, I like this one better (intense metallic copper). Mostly because I can use this one several times over to increase intensity and it just turns more copper. The other one (Watercolor tress liquid copper) tends to turn more red than copper when used several times over. I use it 1-2 times a week and use it 3-5 min 3 consecutive times in a row for the intensity seen in the pic furthest to the right. The first pic on the left is the gloss I get every 6 weeks. The center is what it looks like after 3.5 weeks without this shampoo. The right one is what it looks like after 3.5 weeks of using the shampoo. I should mentione that my hair is lightened with vol 20 and that the color does not stick to my roots that grow out, it works on the areas that have been lightened when I go to the hairdresser. So it may not work very well on hair that has only been glossed as opposed tl hair that has been lightened by either permanent hair dye or highlights. I have been careful within reason, to not get the shampoo on clothing or shower floors/walls. I have arctic white grout and white tile in my shower, the shower floor has light marble and a light grey grout. It has spilled on floor and walls some but has not stained my grout or tile. It has surprisingly also not stained my towels or clothes when hair was still wet. Not sure how they managed that one 🤷🏻‍♀️ Also, I like the consistency of this one better than the other one I mentioned. This one is thicker, the other one was runny making it harder to distribute. The pics don’t really do the color justice if I’m honest. It looks more even and vibrant in real life.

I used this product and seen no difference in my hair color so I tried it again the next day with still no results. My scalp was left feeling itchy. Waste of money for me. Also when I recieved it there was so.e leakage.
