Amazing Quality
My cat really enjoys this cat food, he has no health issues due to it, it's very healthy for cats and contains all their vital nutrients they need for life and i have had no issues trying to get him to eat it (as opposed to what some people in this comments section have said)He seems to like the taste even better than his previous meat-based cat food, he's always very excited for the next bowl of this vegan cat foodDont listen to the neighsayers, some cats may have trouble switching but this is more of an issue with diet switching in general and some cats often have issues switching even different brands of meat-based cat food, i dont consider it a problem unique to this brand and even so i never encountered this problem with my catI have no issues, main problem maybe is the price but i consider it a worthy trade-off knowing it's healthy and ethically-sourced from plants and not dead animals.

cats love it
I have been feeding this to the outdoor cats and they love it so much that they moved into my back yard. They seem to come from all over at meal time. Bit of a problem actually. But the cats previously had looked so unhealthy and now they look gorgeous.Update: The three cats I started with, have become permanent fixtures of my back yard. They don't let other cats onto our property anymore. They are strong, sweet, and healthy. I always put water in with the food I give them twice a day and leave plenty of water out because of the other reviews. But I only see beautiful, happy cats.Update:I took two of them in. A year ago, another two already well-fed cats started coming into my yard and fighting with my outdoor wild cat for it. So I needed to increase the amount I left outside- which only brought another kitty. My original outdoor Kitty now needs to battle with two new kitties for it. The cats coming in, are already well-fed kitties, so I don’t know why they are bothering my kitty. She doesn’t go try to eat their omnivorous food. My original 3 cats have been on this for 3 years. They are very healthy, shiny, calm and happy and they won’t leave me alone.

My kitten has been eating this for six months
This food is economical; because you can (and should) moisten it with water, one 10-pound bag makes 30 pounds of cat food. It's nutritionally complete, fortified with both taurine and carnitine (amino acids which occur naturally in meat, but are usually processed out in the making of meat-based animal foods and have to be added back.)It is much "cleaner" than meat-based pet foods in which--regardless of what the customer is led to believe--a company can include all sorts of "meat by-products"--hair, beaks, feathers, and even ear tags. Considering that rates of heart disease and cancer among cats and dogs parallel those of their human companions, there must be a better way to feed them. Animals being fed Evolution are regularly living over 20 years now, and with far fewer geriatric problems such as arthritis and heart disease than their carnivore counterparts.Best of all, cats like it; my young cat has been eating it for several months now and is thriving, with a glossy coat. For variety, I also give him Evolution canned food, which he loves.

Don’t like the smell at all
It’s a great plant based cat food option compared to what’s out there but I DO not like the smell whatsoever and the flavor is “cheeseburger”? What’s that about? Cats don’t eat cheese, nor should they… it would be better off without that flavoring/ scent but my cat eats it with no problems.

Made my cats sick
Both my cats got violently sick after eating this and puked. Bummer because they seemed to like the flavor and I was really hoping it would work out. My dog won’t even touch it.

Best in all ways
My cat has been eating this food since he was a month old, and is now a sleek, highly active and brilliantly healthy 6 month-old. I have never seen a shinier coat on a cat. He is active, interested, talkative and very playful.I checked carefully to ensure that my cat would be getting all the nutrients he requires from a vegan product, and Evolution's certifications were sound.I feed him on demand, with a handful of the food as required. I am quite happy handling the food knowing that there are no questionable animal products and other undesirable ingredients that could also sicken me. The food smells great and he loves it.I transitioned him from a standard dry kitten food, and he was initially reluctant. I had been feeding him the Evolution food after soaking it in a little water, but after I stopped wetting it, he immediately switched fully.Even if you yourself are not a vegetarian, this food makes sense on all levels. You are guaranteed of high quality ingredients without the horrific waste meat and other byproducts in standard pet foods, Evolution itself is healthy to handle and keep in the house and of course, cats thrive on it!

Yay
smells very cheesy! one of my cats reeeeally liked it at first, they both kinda like it now, they certainly eat it but, my mom ends up feeding them other stuff with real meat half of the time, I think If she didn't do that they would be fine to eat this dry food.It is dry by the way, for some reason I thought it would be kinda soft, but you could make it soft by adding some water or pressure cooking a jar of it with some water in the jar too, then keep it in the jar in a fridge. My one cat couldn't get enough of it when I first bought it, I wonder if it just kinda dried out because we didn't store it air tight.I will continue to buy this product because I tried the cheaper vegan cat food on amazon and this first cat I'm talking about didn't really like that stuff. But she likes this cheesy stuff here (Evolution Gourmet Fondue Cat Food 5lb Bag)
