Perfect saw for women!
As a woman I did not like to rely on my husband to help me clear our property. I had purchased a battery reciprocating saw to cut away larger branches. It worked great but there was only so much it could do. I could cut down smallness but anything larger than 8" across became a struggle. I decided that I needed a battery chain saw. I chose this model because it has the cheapest batteries and they are exactly the same as the ones at Harbor Freight. I purchased a second battery at a great price with their 20% off coupon. It is made by the same manufacturer, as is the chain saw. Of course my husband had to be the first to try my new saw, lol. One of our trees had blown over in a storm so we cut it down with this saw. It cut just like a gas power saw without the noise, smell and the repeated pulling of the start cord. Just push a button and off it goes! I don't cut wood for firewood or for hours at a time so I can't speak to how it works for that. I can say that it works great for my needs of a few cuts a few times a week. The saw isn't too heavy for me and my bad shoulder. It is way lighter than our gas powered saw. The batteries charge quickly and hold their charge a long time.

Excellent
After taking advantage of the advertised coupon when I bought this in December, I paid $144. I have owned umpteen gas-powered chainsaws over the years -- and even have an old one in the garage now -- but I hasn't been run in years and would be a terror to get it running again. I needed to cut several fallen/broken Juniper tree limbs and branches due to a recent massive snow storm. Two of the limbs were approx. 8 in. in diameter and several others were from 2-6 in. I am thoroughly impressed with this saw. Did all the cutting necessary on the first battery charge. This is a powerful saw. I am shocked. Actually, I initially thought a battery-powered saw (my first) would be terribly under-powered but I was wrong. This saw completely met my needs. To those who posted poor reviews, I suspect they either did not first completely charge the battery or didn't properly install and tension the chain. Do those two things properly and this saw is a great bang for the buck. The instruction manual is a bit of a laugh, so just read it thoroughly and apply some common sense If you make a living cutting logs, this saw obviously is not for you. If you have a handful of small jobs yearly, this saw would be a great addition for your tool shed. And no more messy gas-powered fuel mixing, cleaning and storage problems. Highly recommended. P.S. I had been looking high and low for a storage/carrying case for my Litheli...finally found one and it fits perfectly: "Poulan Pro 952031152 18- to 20-Inch Gas Chain Saw Carrying Case." I know the size sounds odd, but trust me, it fits perfectly.

Lots of Power!!!
I have 2 gas chainsaws that just sit in my workbench, they are such a pain, hard to start, mixing gas/oil and worst of all so much vibration and noise. I purchased an electric Gardenline at Aldi several months ago, a cordless polesaw at Harbor Freight(Lynxx), and recently this Litheli. I have a pretty large tree in the yard, started with the pole saw which worked well for a few pretty large branches(5 or 6 in diameter). I decided to fell the entire tree. The Litheli was delayed due to corona virus so I started with the Gardenline, it was awesome!!! The base of the tree was 22 inches in diameter, no small feat for the 14 inch Gardenline but it was amazing, over a couple of days I had it all chopped up. I almost cancelled the Litheli order, but thought it would be good for farther out on my property. Long story short: Litheli Pro's Lots of power, easily cuts 4 to 5 inch diameter logs, could do more Battery lasted, only down 1 bar Solid machine Easy to adjust chain tension Automatic bar oiler works well (must purchase your own oil) Good value No more gas chainsaws for me Cons: Heavy - Weighs approx the same as my gas saw No case available The battery does not work in Lynxx - it looked like it would - Not Litheli's fault

Tougher than it looks
I have been more than impressed by this chainsaw. I bought it for my wife to use as it is affordable and I figured it would cut some small things she wanted to clear around the house without being too heavy. The first time I fired it up I was cutting 4 and 6 inch logs without issue. When a tree fell on my papaw's house we were trapped with no power and the road to get cell signal was blocked by the power company. This saw cleared out half the limbs, including some much larger than the recommended size with little hesitation. I could tell it was having to work harder than my dad's gas powered Stihl 16" chainsaw, but it was a dream for working in difficult places as the exhaust and heat weren't there. It was more manueverable as well. It would have been slower work had I not had two batteries though. My papaw was so impressed he had me order him one to have. I have three Litheli products and none of them have disappointed me so far, even when pushing them beyond their limits at times. We were able to clear out the tree enough to pull my papaw's car out of the garage in a day and a half with two chainsaws and a small tractor. I highly recommend for emergency or light-medium cutting needs.

Cheap parts, brakes easily
Worked well for a few days longer than the 30-day return policy. Was sawing a log and it shut off, now it makes this faint squeak when I pulled the trigger but nothing else - fried. No idea how to replace the parts that broke.

Impressed
I have used the saw for about five weeks and had no problems at all. Set up was easy, just follow the instructions and maybe watch a video of how to do it. The best part of the saw is the easy chain adjust and the auto chain oiler both of which work flawlessy. I have cut red oak up to 12 inch diameter although it is best suited for 6 inch and smaller diameter tree limbs, in cutting the large log it did take longer and important to not force the saw to try to cut fast. Its power output seems to be equivalent to a 35 cc gas saw when the battery is fully charged but does diminish some after cutting a while. Recharging the battery is easy and after I had purposely ran it all the way down it took about 1 hour to fully recharge. If ordering the saw you will need some chain oil and a file to resharpen the chain as a sharp chain is important for easy cutting. Warning is this is not a toy, should be used as any chainsaw with care. I highly recommend it for occasional use and really enjoy not mixing oil and gas and rope pulling.

Easy to assemble and powerful
This saw is easy to assemble and powerful. I used it for the first time today and it was easy to handle and use, and cut through medium sized trees with no problem. I was delighted with how easy it was to put the chain on and tighten it, compared with my old Scott's 10 inch saw, (which also needed to be pumped during operation to keep the chain lubricated. The Litheli doesn't.) I really like this chain saw. Very good purchase.

This chainsaw performs like expensive gas powered machines without the noise!
I have owned a number of chainsaws through the years and now that I am older and retired I have discovered a very efficient 40 volt battery powered machine sold by LItheli. I live on an airpark resort in Texas and have been clearing a number of heavily wooded lots in order to make room for a new aircraft hangar. My Litheli 40 volt electric saw is the perfect tool to assist in this huge task. The 14 inch bar and chain have been perfect for both cutting down and cutting up trunks and limbs. The lithium -ion battery runs the saw up to two hours of heavy use and it recharges in a timely manner. The automatic chain oiler rounds out the minimal maintenance this saw requires. I'm so happy with this machine I am going to buy a second machine for my son-in-law.
