Black Magic 🌬
Love this fan! Affordable, classy, and very effective! Creates a nice cool breeze. Quiet enough. No rattling. HINT ON ASSEMBLY (for novices like me): The silver pole packed within the black pole should slide through the plastic "fringed" end. Not the other end. You might have to gently prod it through, but it will exit properly. That's the same silver pole end that slides into the fan base and where you tighten securely with the black gear at base of fan. Make sure that enough of the silver pole is within the fan base so the fan gear does not wobble off. Hope that helps! Otherwise, assembly was fairly basic. We would definitely purchase again.

The "patented folding base" is junk. No customer support. DO NOT BUY!!!
UPDATED REVIEW 09/2019 I bought this fan two years ago. At the time I thought it was OK. But three weeks ago, the plastic hinge component which forms the center of the "folding base" failed. While the other plastic components seem more durable, this important structural component is cheaply manufactured. The plastic literally crumbled in my hands when I investigated why the fan had fallen over! My preliminary analysis is that they used very little plastic resin and way too much sand as a filler. With no flexibility, and inadequate UV inhibitors is not necessarily a design flaw, it is evidence of cutting corners during the manufacturing process. Comfort Zone has a nearly impenetrable website for support, and no telephone support that I could find. However I did manage to find an email portal. It's well out of warranty ... I asked if I could buy replacement components. There has been no response. So I consider this vendor to be unworthy of anyone's future business! All other fan components remain serviceable. Rather than throw it in the trash, I decided to look for a replacement base. An indoor flag stand might be perfect to hold the 1-1/4" diameter rod, but anything I found cost more than the fan is worth. So I decided to concoct my own replacement. (See the photos) The homemade base is essentially an upside down plastic saucer from under a garden pot. A cast iron floor flange for 1-1/4" diameter pipe is screwed through the saucer into a piece of scrap lumber underneath. Then a 1-1/4" diameter x 3" long pipe nipple is threaded into the floor flange. (Hand-tightened only, with a couple wraps of teflon pipe tape for easy disassembly.) The fan's support pole fits loosely into the pipe, so I applied some wraps of electrician's tape to create a snug fit. Sprayed that with silicone lubricant, then twisted it into place where it stayed secure and centered. Then spray-painted it white to match the fan. Plugged it in a couple hours ago; better than new! Total cost $6 for the pipe fittings. Everything else was stuff I had laying around. Conclusion: DO NOT BUY THIS FAN! It is not structurally sound. Customer support is non-existent! The best thing about it is my home-made replacement base. ORIGINAL REVIEW FROM 2017: I measured the fan blade of my old pedestal fan whose motor burned out after 18 years. ... 16" So I ordered this Comfort Zone CZST161BTE to replace it. Surprise! These fans are measured by the diameter of the fan guard, not the fan blade. It's blade is more like 13"- 14" diameter. Guess what I wanted was a 20" pedestal fan? No matter, this is a nice smaller fan that I will keep. The stand is much lighter that the larger-diameter fan, so is the motor section, but that makes sense. Not too tall, but it does the job. Inexpensive, I think a good value for the price.

Very good but loud fan, pain in the arse to assemble
You wouldn’think this fan would be hard to assemble, but between needing a magnifying glass to see the instructions, having a terrible time getting the tube out of one of the parts, and the fan cover being bent just enough so that it doesn’t snap in correctly as the final piece that covers the blade, it seemed to take forever. I even YouTubed a fellow putting it together, and the one thing I needed to know he had already done and did not include in his instructions, which is what I mentioned earlier about getting the tube out because it has to fit through one hole, you can’t do it in reverse. Anyway if you buy this, you’ll see what I’m talking about.l, but it does work very nicely. Just take a couple of Tylenol after you assemble it. And it’s loud AF.

Exceeded Expectations for a Budget Room Fan!
I wasn’t sure what to expect when I ordered this Comfort Zone 16″ oscillating pedestal fan, but after using it for several weeks I’m genuinely impressed — especially considering the price! This fan was easy to set up right out of the box and didn’t require any complicated tools or extra parts, which I loved. First off, the adjustable height and tilt are very useful. I’ve been moving this fan between my bedroom and living room, and being able to change the angle and height easily means the airflow is always just where I want it. The three speed settings give good control over the breeze — from a gentle airflow at night to a stronger gust during the day — and the oscillation spreads air evenly across the room so I don’t have to keep repositioning it. I was also pleasantly surprised by how relatively quiet it is. It’s noticeable on high speed, but not loud or distracting, even when running overnight. Honestly, for the price point this fan delivers excellent cooling performance and versatility. If you’re looking for a no-frills, dependable pedestal fan that keeps your space comfortable without breaking the bank, this one’s a great choice!

Not horrible/not great
Cheap product. Must’ve sent me a wrong piece because had to cut it just to get it to fit. Not sure it’ll last long. Not loud though so that’s a good thing.

Not the sturdiest but this fan is absolutely effective and QUIET
This is my second time purchasing this kind of fan. I'm not sure if the first was the same brand but it was identical. Sadly, the first one stopped working after a couple of years of daily use. After the first broke, I went through 2 other types of fans that I ultimately stopped using because of faint buzzing sounds. I've been sleeping without a fan for a while but decided to purchase this before hot summer nights return. This is not the sturdiest fan but unless you expect to be bumping into it or have small children running around, it's fine. It's not going to spontaneously fall over but picking it up and moving it from one area to another requires two hands. If this fan only lasts me a year, I would absolutely buy another one. Here are my reasons: 1. NO buzzing. If you want a fan to run while you are sleeping, this is the one. 2. The pedestal type (4 "legs") is great because it looks cleaner and doesn't collect a layer of dust. You can clean under it too. 3. In my opinion, this fan look is less visually imposing compared to a similar fan than has a solid base. 4. Easy to use. Press button to turn on. Press another button to turn off. There isn't a remote but if you need to turn it on or off in the middle of the light, you can do so without turning any lights on. 5. Simple in the best way. It does not have any blue lights or beeping sounds. It's just a fan. Overall I would highly recommend this fan. There's nothing worse than doing hours of research and spending $100+ on a "good quality" fan just for it to be unbearable to sleep with. At $30, I'd rather purchase 5 of these over time than spend $150 on a "good" fan that disappoints.

Perfect for those girls that need a fan on in their sleep
Perfect for the pink obsessed girly in your life, which is myself my whole car is done in PINK as well as my whole house. I'm one of the ones that I have to sleep with a fan on and just came across this pink one as I've been sleeping with a black one it's very powerful. The noise is just what you need to put you to sleep and it's so cute.

Buen producto

Nothing to know. Keep dust free.
Good size and height. Very appropriate for my unit. First speed is quite powerful on it's own.

Works fine but cheap materials
Went together easy enough. Not too sturdy for a pedestal fan. Does the trick buy feels especially cheap. I worked in the department that sold fans at Sears for 4 years. This one is maybe slightly below in terms of quality of materials our cheapest fan. It's a cheap fan that works fine. I don't expect it to have a long life though.
