Worked just as intended!

I bought 4 of these 6 " round vents as fresh air intakes for my greenhouse. Decorative and plainly stylish. What I appreciate most about these vents is the removable fine mesh insert. Keeps out bugs and very small insects without sacrificing air flow. Very easy to install, just twist while inserting into a 6" round hole. Holds very firmly in position with the 3 securing fins.

I really like this design concept. The white screen part fits very snugly into the black part with friction only, which seems to work well - though I'd probably have thrown a screw into the white flange to be sure it doesn't fall out in the winter. The black body has wings that you squeeze with your hands when you put this up into the hole, and then expand back out to hold it in place, works pretty well. The black body is not 3 inches in diameter, more like 2-3/4 inches. This wasn't an issue for us because we had flex tubing, if you're using rigid tubing this might be a problem.Finally, we didn't end up using the white part because it restricted the air flow too much. The screen is just too fine. It cut about half the airflow. I ended up using the old cap from the vent we were replacing, modifying it to fit the black part. It wasn't perfect but worked much better. The old vent cap used screen door material, which let a lot more air past.I'm not saying this is bad, or that you will need to do this. And, maybe you want a finer screen to keep out certain insects. For us, airflow was more important.I'm giving 4 stars because the diameter isn't what is stated and the screen is too restrictive, but still like the overall concept.

I needed a way to ventilate a small, cheap greenhouse with a poly cover and one door. I outlined the small end of the vent on cardboard which I then used to cut a 1/4 inch SMALLER circle. (So the vent would fit snugly when attached.) I then traced it onto the greenhouse plastic cover. I punched a small hole in the middle of the tracing using scissors then cut from the the middle out into what would look like a ‘plus’ sign, leaving the flaps attached. In between each previous cut, I made additional ones going toward the outside. (Like an asterisk.) So in the end, I had a 5 3/4 inch hole w a bunch of little flaps hanging off around it. The vent has 3 angled pieces of plastic on the part that would go on the inside. (Look at their provided pics closely) I am assuming is to help keep it attached to whatever it’s applied. I easily bent and broke them off. I then easily pushed the vent through and then from the inside, used GG Patch N Seal Waterproof Tape to hold the plastic flaps down and taped around the piece of the inside vent. If the flaps are a little too long, cut them down but leave enough to attach tape. I could’ve secured the vent from the the outside too w even more tape but chose not to so that it didn’t look too patchwork. This was so easy to install. I’m sure it would’ve been even nicer had I used something other tape to attach it but I didn’t have much choice. The inside screen should do a good job keeping bugs out too. I have absolutely no experience doing anything w tools, home repair, etc but installing this vent couldn’t have been easier. I’ve already ordered 3 more to add even more cross ventilation.(The clips were used simply to hold the greenhouse cover tight so I could apply the tape from the inside a bit more even. This was a job that had to be done completely alone. 😏

This worked perfect for bringing in air to hvac system. Size and look were perfect. Feels durable to handle the heat.

Ordered a 4”, received a 5”. Quality is great, just a shame that I got the incorrect size
