I've used this item before to catch mice in a rat sticky trap. But I've never caught 4 adult mice in a single trap before. Heck, I didn't even know that I had 4 adult (looking) mice in my house. I have caught 1 mama mouse and her 7 babies, which made me sad. I've caught at least 3 babies alone in this kind of rat trap. Overall get a dog or cat, they are best at keeping the mice away imo.This trap is easy to setup. Open the package and split them part. Place down in a high traffic area for them mice and wait. You won't wait long and you'll hear them squek loudly when they get stuck. After you feel like you caught all the mice, toss into the trashcan by the end of day. Do not keep the trap up after a day of a dead mouse unless you like the smell of the rotting carcass in your home.Okay some downsides or precautions at it were. DO NOT step on the trap. Barefooted best op, in shoes nope! Once you step in the trap and get your shoe out of it, where ever you step or that person who stepped into the trap without looking will leave a bunch of sticky residue on your floor for the next two steps. RIP your floor. Warn people about the trap. Yes, you'll have to use certain techniques to get the glue off your floor. It's like you have a second trap outside of the actual trap that you didn't plan for and yes, everything will stick to it. Dust, bugs, paper, just to name a few.If you have pets. Do not let them get near it, heck, do not have them in the same room! If you have small birds like I do, do not let them out until the you got the mice and remove the trap. I've never had my bird outside or trapped in this trap. But if it did happen, hello emergency vet and I would probably have a dead pet bird. Also if you don't like hearing the sounds of the trapped mice struggling to get out or seeing baby mice stuck, then do not get this trap. Imo, it's better than poison traps and catch and release is not an option. I'm not going to spread diease around in a different habitat by catching and release mice or poisoning other animals that eat mice.I've never used on a rat, I had one and got the terminatiors out for that. I live near a park and that's where these little f***** mice come from.Pro(s): Very sticky. Captures a lot of mice. Easy to use. Good value. No smell.Con(s): Do not use with pet(s) around.

I love these things. I thought I had a mouse. I kept hearing him in my bag of cat food. I also have dog food, but friskies cat food has crack in it or something, because cats love it, dogs love it, and apparently, mice love it. One bit a hole in a small bag I had put up and ate the entire bag. Anyway, I put these two sticky babies out near where I had seen and heard the mice. I put pieces of the dry cat food on them. I fell asleep. A few hours later, I heard frantic sqeaking and went in the kitchen to look. There were two mice on the one in the kitchen. One looked dead, but he was just really stuck. The other one, who probably came to help his buddy, was still struggling and squeaking like a mad man. I felt... so bad. I'll be honest..I cried a little and my boyfriend made fun of me. I told him to please do something so I don't have to hear the sad squeaks of desperation. He put them in a grocery bag... And poked holes so they could breathe, because his soft a*s felt bad, too. Then I went and sat on the couch, remembered I had put one under the couch, and thought I could put it in the same place in the kitchen to catch more. I reached under the couch to grab it, and heard a squeak. I quickly pulled my hand back, terrified. I thought I was just hearing things, so I took my phone light and looked under there. There was a mouse there, too. Now the panic sets in. Three mice? There must be more. So I ordered another two sticky traps, immediately. I left him there, in his sticky hell, hoping I'll possibly catch any others that may be roaming. He was silent before, but now that he's awoken, he's quietly sqeaking for help. Good...that will draw his companions closer. I felt guilty. But war has made my conscience go quiet. Like a tiny mouse, caught in one of these traps. Ok, no, I still feel bad, but as long as I don't look in their eyes, I'm fine. The one under the couch had his butt to me, luckily. They work immediately. That's pretty cool. The quick results will give you a serotinin boost, and there's plenty of room for several of your furry, adorable, victims.

I hate hate hate hate rodents. We live in an apartment that mice occasionally find their way in by making holes through our neighbor's walls and coming down from the heater vent on the roof. We put these suckers right beneath our wall heater and near any possible entry points. It works. We've used these for a couple of years and have killed several mice.A pro is these are ok with a dog at home who is by herself during the day. These do not pique her interest and she leaves them alone. Also there is not much danger to her compared to if we used poison or wire traps.A con is you have to regularly check them which is normal for any kind of trap. And because these are glue, as time goes on it is inevitable that dust gets on them so the effectiveness goes down since the top is not as sticky as it once was. When this happens, we just replace them with fresh ones which isn't a big deal since they are affordable.Glue traps are not the most humane way to kill mice. I have heard mice screaming and thrashing before. If this is a factor in your decision, probably best to go something else that can kill them instantly.

... kind of messy. They are packaged goo to goo side and they goo sticks them together so a bit sticky at times when you go to separate them. However things really stick well, but I have been able to free a bird that flew in to the squirrel trap and some of the lizards. Mice and Rats can get really stuck well. The work like a 5, but because of the unsticking bit when using they only get a 4.

Absolutely the best glue trap I have found . Living on an acreage in farm country , mice are a constant problem , especially coming into winter weather . I have tried traps ( mice learn to eat the bait without tripping the trap ) , poison ( chickens got into poison and killed them ) , and cheap glue traps ( mice ran across them like they weren’t there ) . These glue traps are extremely sticky and trap mice very well . I highly recommend these glue boards .

So.... embarrassing enough we found out we have rats due to my neighbor demolitioning his home causing the rats from his home to relocate to our home (frustration at its finest)... I had originally bought 2 and after catching one medium size 4” rat the first night so I came back to amazon and bought 5 more sets!!At this point I’ve set up all 12 of them.... here is my take on this brand rat trap!First of all..... this trap will work depending on the size of your rats. Small baby size yes it will catch no problem. I’d say up to 3.5-4” rats cannot come off.... but there was one night we heard a Big Bang and Ran to investigate and much to our surprise there was a 5-6” rat on the trap we thought for sure we got it. As we were scrambling to get a trash bag and stick to push it in.... the rat went into survival mode and literally pulled itself off the trap by using its front teeth to grab onto a nearby rod from the bird cage... it pulled and wiggled then it was gone!! We were so mad!!!!!! And frustrated!!!We then decided to put traps side by side in hopes it will not get away the next time!!Nope each night we found that the rat was getting off.... sometimes taking the trap with it and we would have to do on a hunt to look for it!! All that was left was rat furr!! These are not big enough for adult rats. In my opinion!! In total we caught 6 small size rats so it’s a 50/50 experience with us.But... I will say this.... these rat traps are 5xs stronger than the ones in Walmart... the ones in Walmart are not even strong enough for baby size rats!! So avoid those.I would say if you have only mice then this would be more than enough adhesive strength. If you have rats that are bigger than 4” go with snapper traps or call an exterminator!! We went with the exterminator option!!! He did check out these sticky traps and said it’s very gooey and good but he wouldn’t recommend for Rat adults cause they don’t give up! Unless you see it happen there is a chance they will get off if you’re not quick enough!! We learned that the hard way!! My small dog also learned the hard way by getting stuck to one of them after we told her to stay away.... it took lots of baby oil to get the residue of her long hair, we even had to shave her as a result lol... her fault!Anyway I still would say these are good cause I do know they work but like I said it works for smaller size rats.... I don’t have the stomach to handle the snapper traps which is why I chose these sticky ones.... but in the end called an exterminator who treated our home and so far so good... we have not caught any rats or found any missing traps which is a good sign!!So please Keep in mind.... if you have large rats these MAY not work... although you may be faster then us and actually get them before they escapeHope this was helpful

So after an issue with sneaky mice, ones that evaded the snap traps we had to resort to using sticky trap and have found success with them.Snap traps should be your first approach as they are fast and clean kill but when used correctly sticky traps can be valuable, especially in the case of young mice that won't set off snap traps due to how light they are.Be certain to set the sticky trap in a spot where other animals won't potentially come in contact with them. Trapping birds, snakes or lizards (or your household pet) on these boards would be horrific!Be sure to check them daily if not several times a day. Once you have caught a mouse chances are it's still alive and the kindest thing to do is to quickly dispatch it.I've used a snap traps for this, placing a liner over the mouse to allow the snap trap to make clean contact instead of getting stuck in the goo and prolonging the process.Baiting the trap isn't necessary, just place it along walls the mice or rats use. You may discover you have more than one mouse in an area if you place a rat size trap out for mice.Please, please, if you can't resolve the situation with snap traps alone than use these but NEVER resort to rodent poison if at all possible! The horrible damage it does to wildlife is astronomical as it doesn't stop with the rodent but is passed on to every predator and scavenger in the ecosystem.
