A burning deal done right

These are the best matches i've used in a long time. The heads are strong and strike well w/o flying apart or going out prematurely. The matches burn long and evenly, just right for lighting my pipe. The striker on the match pack is also MUCH higher quality than i've seen for quite a long time...Years in fact. I'll buy these matches again when i need them.

These matches work awesome. They hold up great for striking and burn a little longer. Plus they are MADE IN THE USA!!!! Definitely will buy again.

I FOUND THIS TYPE OF MACHES VERY USEFUL . . I USE THEM , FOR EXAMPLE , TO LIGHT MY CANDLES HOWEVER, AS ALL SORT OF MATCHES ESPECIALLY THESE ONES THAT ARE SHORT , WHOEVER IS USING IT , SHOULD USE EXTREME PRECAUTION BECAUSE WE ARE DEALING WITH FIRE AND IT COULD CAUSE VERY SEVERE BURNS !!!!!! They're matches- what can I say? You pull one out, run it across the strip on the back, and...Voila! You have fire! I purchased these because, here in (what used to be) the great state of California, I couldn't find paper match books in any store! Either they aren't popular anymore, or our government decided we don't need them. I use these for bathroom deodorizing, as they work better than the fancy sprays.

The boxes were sturdy. The matches work well. They served their purpose and didn’t cost too much.

Aye, made VERY BADLY in America. I bought these matches to light candles on my alter because there was no advertising on them. These are the WORST MATCHES I'VE EVER USED. You have to strike them with a lot of pressure. Sometimes you strike 3 or 6 times trying to get the match to light, then toss it and grab another. It's not the striker strip, but because you have to strike so hard, the striker strip is gone before you get through half the book of matches. This is an old technology, well established, and whomever made these matches did it wrong and sold them anyway. There isn't enough oxidizer in the match heads. I got them to light a bit better by dipping the match heads in a solution of acetone and potassium perchlorate and letting them dry. Not a good purchase, not a good match, I bought six boxes of these, and I still need to go to the supermarket to buy reliable matches for my alter. I suppose I can strip the cardboard covers off and swap them onto a book of REAL matches from the grocery store to use for my alter matches. I should of bought my matches from China, the people that invented fireworks, they know how to make a match that actually lights on the first strike. Maybe I got a bad batch, but it doesn't say much for quality control in America if they sell a product that might be important in a survival situation, and that product does not perform it's allocated task. Buy a different match.

It’s great because it’s more environmental friendly than the wood to be used. I highly recommend it.

Great Matches, bigger than I expected, does a splendid Job to light oil Lamps, Candles, Cigars and others. But does everything in Style! Great Quality, nice to see a Traditional Brand still going producing spectacular old fashioned Booklet Matches! Highly recommended these for an alternative instead using electricity. We'll worth the investment!
