AIMERDAY Case for Kindle Paperwhite, Premium PU Leather Soft Case Smart Protective Cover with Auto Wake/Sleep for All Kindle Paperwhite Generations Prior to 2018 (Not fit All-New Paperwhite 10th)

I really wasn't needing a new case for my paperwhite, but this case caught my eye so I ordered it to have a change. It has never closed properly, but I kept it anyway. After about a month or so three sides were chipped. I never carried it in my bag since it didn't close completely and it hasn't been dropped. There are good reviews for the case so maybe I just got a lemon. That happens. I will probably stick with Fintie, though. I have ordered numerous cases from Fintie for myself and for gifts without a problem. The stars are for the appearance of the case. It really is pretty.**UPDATE**Wow!! Great customer service that exceeded my expectations. Changing my review to 5 stars for that reason and because the replacement case they sent looks nice and works perfectly. Aimerday contacted me immediately and sent a new case promptly. I had a kind and courteous interaction with Mandy, one of their customer service representatives. With the customer service I have experienced, I would definitely feel confident purchasing products from them again.

UPDATE 3/16/18: I contacted Aimerday regarding my broken cover, and they responded immediately and sent me a new case. Because of their prompt response and great customer service and follow-up I've upped my review to 4 stars. Because of their quick and kind response I would definitely purchase from them in the future.If I had to make a choice I would take my kindle over my cell phone. It's my precious and I coddle it. I've had this cover a little over two weeks and I just noticed that it's already damaged: there's a piece missing from the bottom left corner... I have no idea how it happened, especially since I am amazingly careful with my kindle. I like the look and fit of the cover and I would have given it a 4 star review, but because it's already broken (and the break is in a place that I will be feeling constantly with my hand placement to hold the kindle) I've had to knock it down to 2. It's still usable, but very disappointing.UPDATE 4/27/19: Yes, they sent me a new one... but it broke in exactly the same place as the old one 1 month later. I could have probably sent them an email and they probably would have sent me another case, but I didn't bother. I'm looking for another case now (I'm been using one of my old cases for the last year), so I thought I'd write an update. I lowered my star rating. I would have given it a 1 star because of how they broke - twice in the same place! - but I've upped it to two just because of the customer service and them sending me a new one. I've added a pic of the second case with the break.

Mine arrived in black, as I had chosen. This was a quick choice - I just wanted something cheap & cheerful to put some kind of protection on the Kindle until such time as I got a fancier case. I may stay with this one. It's about as basic as you could possibly get and, let's face it, for this price you can't be too choosey.It works. There's NO WAY you'll ever confuse this case for leather, but it does the trick. Good value for money and it will protect your Kindle.

I was worried that this case would be obnoxious, but I really wanted something purple-ish. I took a chance on this Kindle Paperwhite case and it looks awesome. It has held up really well, and it's just now starting to become worn on the notch you use to easily open the case. I'm really pleased with it - quality and looks. Highly recommend.

The Kindle Paperwhite fits perfectly into this case so that you can turn it upside down, throw the case and the Kindle Paperwhite stays in the case. The one and only problem with this case is that it smells like "fish." The left side is hard plastic where the Kindle Paperwhite is placed and the right side is a soft felt-like material that folds over to cover the screen. The soft part is what smells like fish. I am not aware of any manufacturing process that causes that smell so I left it out in a ventilated area overnight to see if the smell would dissipate however it did not.I believe either the Chinese manufacturer is using some process that is causing this smell or they are storing the manufactured item near a fishery. I do not intend this as a slight against the seller or manufacturer.....only conveying what I observed with the item I received. I will return this item in an abundance of caution for my health.

I purchased this item in August 2017. Its now January 2018 & both bottom corners of the case have cracked and small chips have come out of the corners. I do leave it in my purse and have my purse set on a countertop at work and perhaps that's where the chips came from. I Love the case it fits my Kindle perfectly. It is a beautiful case and I love the automatic magnet feature where it turns on and off. I will be buying another case and perhaps being more careful with it to prevent the chips from coming out of the corners.

By far the best case I have ever owned, not just for my kindle but out of all the different styles of phone cases and tablet cases I have owned over the years this style is the best. I wish they made it for phones and tablets. It has a nice sturdy smart cover that puts the kindle to sleep/ wakes it automatically. Feels like you are holding a real book only lighter. Easy to hold and provides great protection. I have dropped it a few times and my kindle is just fine.

Really cute! Good quality so far, and it has been used every day for a month by a 6-year-old who takes it everywhere. Holding up well, so I can’t complain.
