I bought this as a gift for my wife, so it had to be close to perfect, and it was. It arrived in perfect condition. Powell deserves credit for how well the product is packaged. They even double-boxed it, which is unusual and shows their concern for quality and customer satisfaction. All the pieces were there, and every piece was in perfect condition. The assembly instructions were well done, and it doesn't require much assembly. You only need a Philips head screwdriver. The armoire looks more expensive than it is (I paid $163). It's beautiful and functional. It's thoughtfully designed. Of course, it doesn't look like and isn't built like an $800 armoire, but it's a great value for the money. If you want to be really picky, you might find a few little things that aren't perfect, but it's close to perfect, and that's good enough for me. The bottom line is that my wife loves it, and that was the point of it all. My wife wants me to add this tip. The two drawers in the middle section have no partitions, but you can easily create partitions. The 24-piece collection of Ferrero Rocher chocolates comes in a sturdy plastic container that fits perfectly in those drawers. Each container gives you 24 small "cubby holes" that are perfect for rings, ear rings, pendants, chains, etc. And you get the bonus of eating the chocolates (only 73 calories each). Walgreens has them. Note: When ordering expensive or delicate products, I always select 2-day delivery. My thinking is that the longer a package remains in the shipping channel, the more likely it will be damaged. I consider the extra cost to be worth reducing the risk of damage and the hassle of a return.

I've wanted a jewelry armoire for a while, and the price for this one fit my budget. It actually was easily put together by my husband (and he is all thumbs). I would prefer one that holds more, but I supplement it with a small jewelry box that I keep on top, so I am fine with the capacity. The wood and styling are nice and it fits well with my décor. As others have mentioned the last two drawers are actually one (that can be filled to capacity, but two separate drawers would have been better). Would I purchase again? Yes, because, as noted, the price is right, it doesn't look cheap, and serves my purpose.

I read the reviews before I bought this. I was going to wait for my husband to come home and let him put it together. I did it my self. It was so easy. They included a few extra screws and it only took me about 25 minutes to put together. It is gorgeous and I would absolutely buy it again!!!! The only issue that I would have is, the bottom drawer is not a drawer, its a large opening. I was wondering why the necklace area was too short until I realized the long sides do open and there is plenty of room for necklaces. I priced this same box by the same manufactorer on different sites and this was the cheapest, and free shipping.. A must for all jewerly lovers!!!!!

I love this armoire! I have A LOT of jewelry that needed a home, and this piece is a perfect way to store and protect my collection. Assembly was easy (as long as you follow the directions) and all pieces were intact (including mirror) except for one of the bigger drawers, which was stapled together at a slightly off-angle. I have a feeling that drawer will eventually give out due to it's poor construction (maybe in a month, maybe in 5 years), which is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5 and why I put jewelry I wear less frequently in it so I won't have to open it a lot. The armoire comes up to my rib cage (I'm 5'4) so it's a great height and I don't have to bend over really far to see what I've got in there. The top "drawer" is not really a drawer - it's the compartment under the mirror, so the drawer is faux. The bottom two "drawers" are also not drawers at all, but rather a small swinging door. I haven't figured out what to put in there yet, but a smaller jewelry box would fit, or jewelry cleaning supplies, etc. So you've got: four doors (two on each side, small on top and large on bottom; in the small ones up top there are ring rows beneath the hooks), one box compartment under the lid mirror (with ring rows and separated compartments), four drawers (two small, two large; the first small drawer has separators for earrings/rings/etc, remaining three drawers are open), and one cubby compartment. The wood finish is beautiful and the whole thing is very sturdy - I did not have to attach mine to the wall. Overall, I would absolutely buy this again! My only problem (or maybe it's not a problem?) is that my collection is too big and it won't all fit in here. Darn statement necklaces!

I was looking for a jewelry armoire for a chalk paint project and couldn't seem to find a used one with character. I decided to look for a less expensive new one and saw this. but after reading the reviews I decided to keep looking. What I found is that most of them on the market are made the same: small pieces of solid wood, but more pressed and laminate. So I ordered this in the oak finish because I knew I would be painting it. I immediately had buyer remorse and tried to cancel it, but couldn't so I waited. It arrived timely, but I still didn't know if I wanted to open it or send it back, so it sat for a week by my front door. Today I but it together, and I was really surprised at how nice it was. it was packed great, everything lined up, no scratches, and it looks like a nice piece of furniture. The lining of 2 of the drawers was not completely stuck down, but that's minor. While I probably will still paint it in the near future, I am going to look at it awhile as is. The bottom line is, these things are machine made and packaged, so occasionally a bad batch might happen, so return it and get another. I'm glad I took the risk!

Item arrived sealed in original packaging with no damage. Upon opening the item itself contained no less then 10 different factory defects that were obviously visible to the exterior and interior of the cabinet. manufacturing scratches to wood were stained and sealed over and cut cross grain. Interior velvet not seamed properly, edges show, uneven, and a chunk missing. Exterior drawers (3) contain pit holes in the wood and are plainly visible. Ring dividers, one row is half the height of the other 4 rows adjacent-again this isn't damage but cut disproportionately and slapped in. Very disappointed with the quality of the specific item received. Picture of item looks great & overall design a good idea, BUT the one received wouldn't even make a factory 2nd rating--FACTORY REJECT that they stained and hoped no one would notice. Have contacted the factory per the enclosed Parts and Damage Replacement Procedure - have to see if they stand behind their product. At this point, wouldn't spend the money, and now there is no gift to surprise my spouse with the birthday. Contacted manufacturer--their reply was that the item was 'antiqued' and that various techniques are used to create a distressed and antiqued product, and that the pit holes in the drawers were intentional. Unfortunately, no where in the product description was it mentioned that the product was "Antiqued or Distressed." This was the one and only response from the manufacturer. Would not purchase from this company (Powell) again, based on the attitude and lack of responsiveness to the product damage which was illustrated in photos to the company.

I was worried when I read the bad ratings on this armoire. Mine came in perfect condition, and assembled perfectly. Actually it is even nicer than I expected. Really makes use of the space well, and easily holds everything i have . This was an excellent buy, in my opinion. It makes a very nice accent piece.

I bought this a an anniverary gift for my wife. The armoire is very nice and holds most of my wife's jewelry. The problem I had with it is that it arrive with one of the pieces broken off. It was fairly easy to fix, just needed to be reglued. So instead of sending it back I elected to fix it. The assembly instructions are vague and it is never clear which screws go where. None of the pics are actual size so they can not be lined up and they are low quality pics so they don't really look like the actual screw. Once I got it assembled though it looks nice and my wife loves it.

This was an excellent purchase. It exceeded our expectations, is good quality, looks good, and has made it very convenient for storing jewelry. Upon arrival one piece was missing but Powell shipped the missing part immediately.

The product is lovely, however one of the drawers was broken...in that the face was apart from the actual drawer...and small nails were not holding it on. I had no way to transport it for return and so I kept it. A friend knew a carpenter who charged just a little to firmly affix it again. In future I will order things that can not be broken, like books etc., because what would I have done if it wasn't "fixable"?...just have lost my money, I guess.

Beautiful granddaughter loves it . It is stunning. I would recommend this to everyone. Daughter and daughter in laws want one now
