The bristles hold their shape and don't fray or fall off. I really like these brushes.

After a few weeks use the brushes are holding up really well. I can be a bit rough on brushes while oil painting but there is no visible wear on the brushes and they have not shed any hairs at all. There is only one brush that has a bit of a wobble where the metal tip is crimped onto the brush handle but it is not enough to cause issues when painting or cause the end to fall off while cleaning. I'm very happy with my purchase.
