Panasonic RFP-150D Battery Operated AM/FM Portable Pocket Size Radio (Silver/mat)

UPDATE: It's been 15 months now and this little radio is going strong. I still listen every night for 4 to 5 hours. As mentioned in my initial review, my favorite station is local but can be hard to tune in. Some nights are a little more difficult but I'm able to lock onto it with some adjusting. For me, this is one of the best purchases I've made. Great small size at a nice price. I needed a new small radio when my old Grundig Mini died. I did alot of research, almost spending way too much for NOS off a popular auction site. Then I saw this Panasonic at a great price and decided to take a chance. I have owned many Panasonic products over the decades and have been generally pleased with them (we still have one of their Plasma TV's from 2013) And for my needs this little radio is perfect. I only use it when I go to bed to listen to my favorite overnight AM radio show. While the station is local to me it can be quite difficult to tune in. So far this radio has held the station and it comes in pretty clear for the entire night. Actually I now realize how lousy the Grundig was. This is the perfect size beside my pillow. I appreciate the small red tuning light and I like the old style tuning and volume dials. Battery life is excellent too. I listen to this every night for around five hours. It's been over a month using the same set of AA batteries. I can't speak to the quality of FM nor do I use the earphone jack. Bottom line for me is I'm very, very happy with this small, inexpensive radio.

Small and nice

Unlike the Panasonic RF-2400D, the Panasonic RFP-150D radio will easily fit into your pocket for on the go listening. It has good sound, better than most small pocket radios and will pickup most local radio stations without needing to raise the antenna. The RFP-150D that was sent to me came in a factory Panasonic RFP-150D box along with a separate package of 2 newer style Panasonic alkaline batteries. I'm happy with it.

This small radio is just what I was looking and it exceeded my expectations as it delivers a clear and powerful sound and truly looks good. I use it daily and have never had to use the antenna. The wrist strap is sturdy and convenient and the radio is small enough to fit in some pockets. I would purchase again or give as a gift. A great buy for a small price.

This is a Fantastic Little Portable Radio. It Tunes very well and locks into the signal. Sounds fantastic for its size - both for voice & music. The LED indicators are functional for the battery indicator and tuning. The Antenna is nicely flush at the back of the body. I also like that it sits in Landscape Mode as opposed to Portrait mode - lending itself more stability on table top. The tuning being on corner is accessible in each orientation. Do note that the packaging is different than some other retail sites - for example the batteries included in mine were not the same as pictured. Not that matters of course. This is shipped in a snug Panasonic compact box with separate 2 Panasonic AA batteries in a separate original packaging. Panasonic may have changed packaging to make shipping easier as the other packaging is a larger clear blister type packing where the radio and the batteries are included in the single pack. Highly Recommend this Fantastic and Functional Little Radio.

Neat little basic AM/FM Radio. It's light weight so I keep it in my jacket pocket for added convenience.
