Pretty antique brass rods
After deciding to get a set of blackout curtains for my home office due to the hot summer sun getting the room too hot, I decided to look for a set of good quality curtain rods that match my other sets in the bedrooms. Unfortunately, since it was about 4 years since I purchased those, I could no longer find those exact rods, so I looked for something in antique brass that looked close in quality and style to my other curtain rods and I settled on these. I do have to comment though on the crazy packaging these came sealed in, which is harder to open than a safe. I actually cut my hands trying to get past the plastic packaging with staples and heat shrink wrap around each curtain rod. If the manufacturer went with simpler packaging this could cost a few bucks less from all the wasted packaging material they use. Installation was very simple and easy and you only need a drill, screw driver and a hammer depending or not whether you need the wall anchors. This includes three rod hangers and all the mounting hardware. The hangers and the curtain rods are good quality and sturdy and look beautiful once up. The antique brass look matches my other curtain rods perfectly. The rods are a bit easy to open and I do wish they were a bit harder to open and close but that is relatively minor for me as once they are up and in place, there is no need to deal with them. The lock screws for the rods work well at holding them in place but do not use the drill to screw any of the screws into place or you will strip the top. A screwdriver is best for the screws. 5 stars

Good looking, sturdy, and easy to install
I use this rod over a 76”-wide sliding glass patio door and it looks very good. It easily holds up a pair of 72” long Luxury Homes Thermal Insulated Blackout Curtains With Grommet Ring Top with absolutely no problem. INSTALLATION: Very easy. The hardest part was measuring and finding the exact place to drill holes and mount the brackets on the wall. Once that was done, it took about 15 minutes to install brackets, drapes, and rod. THE RODS: Well made and very attractive satin nickel. Some reviewers have complained that it looks like chrome. Actually, the rods are covered with a very fine unnoticeable clear shrink-wrap that should be removed before final installation. Once the shrink-wrap is off, the rods are indeed an attractive satin nickel. There is a very tiny, easy-to-miss sticker on the rods that say to “Remove shrink-wrap before installation.” It’s so small it's easy to miss. The center extension rod fits into the two end rods and is held firmly by two hidden plastic grommets on either end of the center extension. THE BRACKETS: The package contains four very sturdy brackets. You will only need two unless your curtain or drape is very heavy or you go to the full 120” extension. Each bracket has a thumbscrew to clamp the rod firmly in place so that the rod doesn’t move when drapes are pulled open or closed. The brackets are adjustable from 4” to about 6” from the wall. The slot for each bracket locking screw is marked in ¼” increments so you don’t have measure each one; just set the locking screws to the same markings and you’re good to go. OVERALL: Quite a nice looking drapery/curtain rod! I am very pleased with it.

Good looking curtain rod, not easy to open/close curtains frequently.
I bought this rod to hang some curtains in my apartment over a very long window section (96 inches) and it has worked nicely for that effect when purchased with 2 (80x84) sized curtains. The curtain also did not take very long to put up (about 15 minutes with 2 people) as it had 4 different braces to screw into the wall and the curtain just sits freely on top of each of the braces. We ended up only using 3 of the braces and it seems to still hold perfectly. My only complaint is that with this rod set, it is not as easy as I would like to open/close the curtains all the way because the brackets get in the way from how the rod sits on top. I basically have to lift the pole out of the brackets in order to fully open or close the curtains completely. But if you don't plan on opening or closing the curtains very often, this is a very nice and affordable curtain rod which is made of good quality materials and looks nice when finished.

Good quality, strong clips for holding the rod. All in all, holds the drapes as it should.
