Lots of fun. They glow every night.

I bought them as Christmas gifts, knowing full well I’d have to open them and get the process started myself. They arrived fast with perishable on the box. One is for my husband (and no longer a secret after I squealed when it lit up the first time about 4 days later), the second is for my brother and I’m a week in so just fed today. And then swirled tonight - pretty sick illuminated blue- and I am most excited to give this other one to one of my favorite humans. We are fascinated with the bioluminescent bay and it will be such a great opportunity to give my brother a part of that. I read some of the reviews and was so worried, bit the bullet and went for it anyway, always the pessimist thinking it wouldn’t work. However it did… but seriously open it immediately and follow what it says! Love how nature has so many really amazing organisms we can observe. When we get to having a lot of them we will get a bigger globe, and not waste the fascination! Thx, again and again. It gets brighter the longer you have it and after the first feeding I was addicted and will continue feeding and growing them. 😁😁 happy bio nerd.

We made sure to open the package right away as per the instructions on the outside of the box. The first night we could barely see any glow, but that soon changed within a week. It's now been a few weeks and the thing lights up light a Christmas tree whenever you agitate the water at night. It was a gift for my son, and now it's our ritual to swirl the water and watch it glow every evening when I come to wish him good night. It has definitely been his favorite b-day present.

We tried everything per the instructions and not once has this thing ever glowed after swirling the contents. We charged it as instructed, fed it as instructed with zero results. Highly disappointing considering it was a birthday gift for a kid. Do not waste your time or money.

Wonderful so far waiting for glow

I have been wanting to get one of these for quite some time before purchasing but wasn't sure if I should due to the cost... but let me tell you I was NOT disappointed. I live by the coast and it very rare that we get red tide but I have been blessed to have been able to see this in real life. It is an experience I will never forget. My children, on the other hand... they have not ever had the chance to see this in real life. I got this so they could see the beauty of this phenomenon for themselves. Once it arrived we just had to read the little card it came with to see exactly how to set it up. The first night we gave it a gentle swirl and were able to see the glow. The following day we put it in a well lit area and that night the glow was much more intense! My kids are in awe and it brings me back to that feeling of wonder and amusement I got when I first saw this on the coast. My kids love this and it has been something very fun for us to all bond over. My only regret is that it took me so long to get one!

Left it on the window sill during the wintertime and got too cold I think. Looked cool while it lasted.

I should add that it was summer and I live in Florida... but if your in a high temp area, I would think twice about ordering... I will probably reorder in the winter. - Thats assuming the 98 degree weather was the reason.

Entretien facile"videos disponibles sur le net", le phytoplancton n'a besoin que de lumière et des mineraux qu'il puise dans l'eau de mer. Trés bonne idée cadeau, je recommande.

I bought this as a birthday gift for my partner, after 16 days after delivery they have multiplied. He's followed the instructions and he has also bought more food for them so he can continue to feed them when he needs too. They're very cool to see and watch grow. Thank you

It’s very cool, I’m glad I was able to acquire my own and yes it does instead glows in dark. I just thought it would be much brighter than it appears to be.
