I really loved this spice mix! It’s fresh, aromatic, and makes preparing kitchari super easy — especially since there’s a full recipe included. The quality is excellent, and the price is very reasonable for such an authentic Ayurvedic blend. It adds the perfect balance of flavors and makes homemade kitchari taste amazing every time.

Banyan Botanicals has amazing products, this is my favorite. I love to make a bit pot of kitchari to have all week especially in the winter. This seasoning pack (along with their rice & dal) make it so easy to make. No need to hunt down the individual spices or measure them out, They're all right here in one packet! Theres a really standard & nutritious recipe for kitchari on the back - I follow it adding in various veggies - and it takes incredible every time.

I've tried a couple of others and since I cannot get my utmost favorite one anymore, this is a very good second choice! I have purchased it repeatedly because it tasted the best. I will continue buying this one unless my very favorite one ever comes back.

Perfect blend of the spices - Kitchari made EASY! If I want it a bit more flavourful, I just add an extra scoop. This is a family favorite.

Taste and flavor are great.Only issue is that after cooking pans are orangey stained

This is my first time making Kitchari. I’m not into spicy foods and not a fan of curry. This blend ( does not have curry) is delicious. The first time I made it I used 1/2 cup of the rice and bean mix, 1 tsp of ghee and 1 tsp of the spice mix and 2 cups of water. It was good, consistency like rice. There is not salt in the mix which I prefer to add my ow. If needed- and I did add some salt to my portion. I used the Kitchari recipe on the package the second time I made it with more water and I liked that better, it was more of a porridge consistency. It was delicious! I added fresh spinach and some other grilled veggies I had to the Kitchari 10 minutes before it was finished cooking. I had it 3 nights in a row for dinner. I plan to make this regularly as it is so delicious, easy on the digestive system and healthy.

Fantastic spice mix

I used this spice mix in a traditional Indian dish called kitchari. I thought I would try the mix instead of buying the individual spices. I loved the flavor! The instructions say to use 1 tablespoon, according to the recipe. I found I like a more deeper flavor so I will use more next time. The mix makes it easy!
