Love this keyboard drawer! Works and looks great! Needs different size screws for rails! (SEE PICS)
First let me explain why I have given this 5 stars. I am not being compensated in any way by the seller or manufacturer of this item. I am just genuinely impressed and couldn't be happier with my purchase. This keyboard drawer was exactly what I was looking for. There are so many options out there for under desk keyboard drawers and determining which one is going to fit your desk and look right is the hardest part. This item did the job perfectly. There are a lot of reviews about this item being flimsy and poorly built. I agree/disagree with those reviews. The product itself looks great, it matches my desk to the point of looking like it came with it and if installed correctly has no issues locking in place when open or closed. The length that extends beyond the desk is relatively short for the size of surface space (as other reviewers have noted) , but all I need is my keyboard to be fully exposed when extended and it does that. My mouse stays on top of the desk. My desk has a 1-7/8" support bar close to the edge all of the way around and I was not sure that between the support bar, the height of my keyboard and distance that the keyboard drawer would drop down would work and allow the keyboard to pass under the bar, but it does perfectly. My only complaint is with the short and long wood screws that the manufacturer supplies with the desk. Neither of these screws are adequate. The instructions say to use the short or long screws (your choice) to attach the rails to the tray...neither of these screws remotely come close to fitting. The plastic insert that the screw should be digging into just spins and pushes further in when trying to screw the rails to the tray (they are not secured within the hole) . This leaves the rails very loosely attached (I could pull the screw straight out after attaching without unscrewing it and that is not a good sign). This could explain why there are so many reviews stating that the drawer is flimsy and not manufactured well. It felt like it would fall apart before I could even mount it to the desk using the supplied screws. I searched through some screws that I had and found that using four #8 x 1-1/4" Flat Head Phillips wood screws works perfect. Unlike the manufacturer supplied screws, these screws probably went beyond the plastic and all the way into the wood which made a tight secure hold. Once mounted to the bottom of the desk, it is very sturdy and firm. It doesn't have any more movement or wiggle than my roll top desk keyboard drawer had. NOTE TO THE MANUFACTURER - Please supply four (4) #8 x 1-1/4 inch Flat Head Phillips screws with your hardware package and customers won't have loosely attached rails anymore. The 5/8 inch and 3/4 inch that are currently supplied are perfect for mounting to the underside of the desk, depending on the thickness of the desk top, but are too short for the rails.

Well made, but just a suggestion
Was looking for a shelf to store 2 small laptops while charging. This worked out well for that purpose. Easy to assemble and comes with options for adjusting height to shelf above from which this one hangs. The unit could accommodate a 13" deep shelf but unfortunately only comes with a 10" one. I had to rig up an extension to work best for me. The wider models of this I believe come with the 13" deep shelf. If this came with the 13" shelf and a lip at the back to keep things from sliding off the back, it would have been perfect for my needs.

Perfect for my needs. Takes patience to install. Glides smoothly & quietly.
Update: For those who need a tray for a midi keyboard, this info might help: When my Akai Mini Plus keyboard arrived, it was too high to clear under the desk when on this pull-out tray. But I easily corrected that by installing a couple cardboard shims between each front tray bracket and the desk underneath. In order to not go through the struggles of the first install again, I only unscrewed one bracket at a time so the others would still hold the tray in place. Then I slid 2 small pieces of cardboard (cut from an amazon box) between the bracket and desktop. Re-screwing it back in place was easy since it was all still lined up from the other 3 brackets still being attached. Then I did the same on the other front bracket. This was enough to lower the front of the tray enough for clearance and I didn’t have to shim the back brackets. Works perfectly now. (See pics.) Looks great, too. BTW, I’m also loving my Akai Mini Plus! I have an IKEA Hemnes desk with side drawers and a front slat under the front middle of the desk that the tray would have to clear. Because of this, I was very limited in what I could use for a keyboard tray. I also need it to fit an Akai MPK Mini Plus MIDI Keyboard which means I need more clearance between the tray and my desk than a computer keyboard would need. (My pics show a wireless computer keyboard just for reference to the size of my tray (24”) since my Akai MPK hasn’t arrived yet.) This tray has options when installing under the desk. It comes with larger brackets to make it suspend lower for the clearance I needed. Assembling the tray itself took 5 minutes. Attaching it to the underside of my desk took an hour and a half and multiple curse words to complete. I was prepared for a possible struggle since the space under my desk is very limited. If you are installing this under a desk top that doesn’t have side drawer units under it, it should be really simple. If installing on a desk like mine, just be prepared to have patience. I thought I’d just make a template for the bracket screw holes using the box cardboard, tape it up under my desk, make some pilot holes and screw it in with my drill-driver. I think I should have skipped the template part and pilot holes. I don’t think it was necessary. The wood screws that come with it are very sharp and can easily grip the Hemnes desk. My template had moved slightly when drilling so I didn’t have a pilot hole in each location and the screws still went in fairly easily. (If you have harder wood for your desktop, then pilot holes would be better.) I installed the front brackets fairly close to the desk front slat on the underside of the desktop. Could probably just go right up against it, too. I had to use a regular Phillips head screwdriver as there was zero space to get a power driver in there. Hardest part was lying on my back trying to hold the tray up against the underside of the desk while screwing it in. I was definitely being a contortionist attempting this. (Used my feet for the start of it.) If you do 1 screw on one bracket and then go diagonal to a different bracket and put another screw in there, it will hold enough for you to get better leverage for the rest of the screws. Once I got to that part, the rest of it flew. And after installing, it has a smidge over 2” clearance for my midi keyboard when it arrives. I’ll post an update showing the fit in case anyone else is using the tray for a studio workstation/midi keyboard. I’m happy with the quality. It slides smoothly and quietly. It feels strong and sturdy. And it matches my desk perfectly. Looks like it’s always been there.

Works great for my industrial workbench
I needed extra space on my Global Industrial workbench so I snagged this unit to move my keyboard and mouse down below the benchtop. It comes with two bracket sizes for various under-clearance heights, and each bracket has a few holes to set tray height. This thing shipped in a box stating a 9.4lb weight - it certainly does not weigh that much. It is light, maybe 5-6 pounds at best. Once properly installed, the unit is stable and solid. It has two locking positions at open and closed, and it is pretty easy to use with its 16 bearing rolling mechanism. Pretty decently-built piece of engineered lumber for the money.

Do not use the cheap screws it comes with!
First off, let me say I am very handy. I have built, fixed, constructed countless things. Though the instructions were minimal, I put this keyboard tray together relatively easily. Yes, the pre-drilled holes are too big as many have mentioned. They now seem to have plastic plugs. One didn't hold the screw, but I found a workaround. The absolute frustration and headache with this product is that it came with absolute junk, soft metal screws. Throw them away immediately and buy some strong screws. It took me over an hour to screw the tray to the bottom of my desk because the screws totally stripped out. I used the correct size screwdriver, but the head of each screw just disintegrated. How much could it cost to include strong screws? Perhaps a few extra cents. Instead, I will not buy from this company again. It was a truly unpleasant assembly experience. As all the screw heads are mangled, I hope I like the tray. Because I'm never going to be able to remove it!

Looks Great, Functions Poorly
EDIT: Back in 2020 I bought the first generation of this company's keyboard tray and it was not very good. But this new Heavy Duty version fixes ALL of those problems. The clearance from tray to desk is now just over 3.75" which is a huge difference. The desk mount is reinforced with braces and doesn't wobble and the rails feel much more sturdy and click solidly into place when full extended or retracted. If you bought the old version a few years ago, then go get the Heavy Duty rails and upgrade your tray. It's worth the money. GREAT JOB on FRMSAET for listening to their customer's complaints and providing a solid upgrade. OLD REVIEW BELOW. Product is MUCH better now. I'm extremely disappointed with this product. I have owned four different computer desks with pull-out keyboard trays over the past 20 years. Recently I decided to build my own computer desk out of a butcher block countertop, some steel legs from Etsy, some drawer units from Ikea and to finish it all off, this keyboard tray. The only thing that I don't like on my self-built desk is this tray. The wood and rails look great. Just sitting there, it really looks good with the rest of the desk and furniture, however, that's where it stops being a good product. First off, the rails are extremely, extreeeemeely flimsy. The entire tray wiggles back and forth at the slightest bump. The rails stick every badly when sliding the keyboard tray in and out. My last four desks with keyboard trays I could slide in easily with one hand, this one requires using both hands and sliding in very slowly and gingerly or the slides catch and hang, requiring me to pull it back out and try again until it doesn't hang. What they are catching on? I have no idea. I've spent an hour with a flashlight trying to figure it out to no avail. Second, the tray only extends about halfway out, even with the rails mounted as far forward as reasonable so that when it is pushed under the desk, none of it protrudes. Half of the tray is still fully under the desk when the rails reach full extension, meaning you have about 6" of usable tray space from front edge to the point where it will meet the front of your desk. Third, even at the lowest tray setting, it still rests higher than any other tray I've ever purchased. Most other trays that I've had over the years, if I needed to manipulate the mouse with the tray pushed in, then I could just slide my hand between the tray and the desk and move the mouse to close a window or something without extending the tray. With this tray, that's impossible, there's simply no clearance. I expected a FAR better product for $65 than this piece of junk. Now I have 8 extra drill holes in my desk if I decide to remove this and send it back and I still have to find a decent replacement.

Sufficiently Workable -- for three days only!
This replaced a keyboard tray I had for about 15 years. The one thing I miss with this newer tray that the older one had was that it swiveled in the middle and I got accustomed to having the right side slightly higher than the left side (which is where my mouse is). This newer tray seems quite sturdy and glides forwards/backwards very easily yet stays in place when needed. I like that it is slighly wider than my older tray and does not have some cushion thing (aka. wrist rest) across the front edge which most all keyboard trays seem to come with. The very brief installation instructions could have been more clear at how to orient the side rails and brackets. I had to do some trial-and-error to get it right. Wonder if I will have this tray for the next 15 years! UPDATE: only had this keyboard tray a few days and it now seems worthless. I came in to my office and found that the left side of the tray came out of its track and crashed down. A trash can under that side kept it from totally hitting the floor (and probably prevented it from pulling out of the right side track too). Giving just one star now for such a poor product.

Perfect fit for 11 inch clearance.
I didn't install so unsure of the difficulty but I use it everyday on my electric desk. I was a little bummed it isn't real wood, but the quality of the picturewood is really nice and doesn't appear to scratch easy or bubble if water spills. It comes with two options for mounting brackets, we went with the heavier duty set. The brackets adjust/can be set to a few different heights but got a little wobbly on the longest setting. One notch above that is perfect spacing for my needs. The quality of the hardware is fair for the price and the slides are really nice. The tray stays locked in place when typing or using mouse and glides to tuck away nicely. I tend to lean on my hands and this tray takes the weight no problem. I have a support bar underneath the desktop at 11 inches from the edge and finding a tray to fit in that tight area was challenging, but this did the job perfectly! The color options were a bit limited but this brand had the closest color to matching my desk. I chose burlywood. I am really happy with this product as an addition to my desk and would recommend it to anyone trying to create the same setup. Edit: Ive slammed this closed too hard too many times so the stopper on one side broke. All still works, its just a little wobbly when sliding the tray all the way in. I want to but a new one and would absolutely repurchase this one.

Solide pratique et joli
Belle planche.
