Although this is advertised as a power source for the Tascam DP-008EX Multi Track Recorder, and although it fits, I was advised it could damage your recorder and would void the warranty if used. The proper plug is made by Tascam and is the PSP520E AC Adapter/power supply. I know many have used this Super Power Supply with no issues but because my recorder is brand new and under warranty, I elected to return this item as unusable for my needs.

This adapter works great for my TASCAM DP-008EX. The build quality is good. The shape is well thought out. It only takes up the space for 1 AC outlet when plugged in, unlike most other adapters wich usually block the space of 1 or more additional AC oulets when they're plugged in.

Tascam really should have included this with the units.

I use a Tascam hand held recorder in two places. This power supply, which came at a much better price, helps me to do this without spending money on batteries and/or risking not getting a session fully recorded.A really good purchase.

Had to buy this just in case. Works great as I don't like using batteries. Will but from this company again.Great deal

Keeps me from eating through batteries at band practice.
