They're very flimsy and thin, I thought there was NO way they could protect my hand from the oven. I was wrong. I cooked some pizza at 425 degrees and pulled out the baking sheet with no problem. I couldn't even feel any warmth on my hand. It's almost surreal. The gloves have raised bumps in the shape of hearts on them, which help protect your hands as well as provide grip. They are absolutely amazing and I have already thrown out all my old cloth potholders. Review: They also seem to clean up nicely. I had black grill grease on them and ... - Gloves are as advertised. I have a Big Green egg and the gloves have become a necessary tool for handling hot pieces within the grill. Please do note that they will get hot if you are handling things around 500 degrees. Recently, we took them on a camping trip and they worked really well around the fire for cooking food and adding more firewood to the fire. They also seem to clean up nicely. I had black grill grease on them and let them soak overnight in the sink with some dish soap and was able to scrub them clean the next morning. I highly recommend these gloves.

MASlife Silicone BBQ Oven Cooking Gloves.
These gloves are great! Easy to wash and they ARE heat resistant! I was baking at 375-400 degress for 3 hours and although skeptical I pulled out the roasting pan and the oven rack to change the height position and I was AMAZED that I didn't even feel heat through the gloves. Better than the original ove'glove. Took away 1 star for the fit. Not a perfect fit but I do recommend this product to everyone. Product arrived on time.

They deteriorated within 1 year
I purchased these gloves 10 months ago, and they served me well for the first 9 months. In the past month I have had cracks open up in the fingertips of both gloves. Those cracks/splits go all the way through to the interior of the glove leading to me slightly burn myself while making bread. You can't take away from these gloves that they work well for a while, but they aren't durable. I've used them once or twice weekly baking, cooking, and smoking duties (what I'd consider to be normal use). I've only ever rinsed them out in the sink with soap and water. Nothing that I would expect to destroy gloves this quickly. I'll be looking to buy different gloves next time.

Wouldn't Buy These Again If You Paid Me
These things are terrible. I had a feeling that review stuffing was going on a lot more on Amazon, but this proves it. These things BARELY hold back the heat of a cooling cookie sheet, let alone one that recently came out of the oven. Grab anything straight out of the oven or on the cook top and be prepared to find a place to put it down very quickly. I tried grabbing a cast iron pan that was on an open-hood grill, and it was as though I had grabbed it with a bare hand (aside from the nasty burn). I had to go find a pot holder to use with the glove, and even then I felt the heat. The only good use for these is handling grilled meat without utensils. The food won't get that hot, so go nuts flipping burgers or turning hot dogs. Heck, grab the rack of ribs and manipulate them as you see fit. These are silicone, so you can literally just toss them in the dishwasher or rinse them in the sink. However, if you intend to use them for their intended purpose, you will be disappointed.

I bought these for my brother. He is a large man and I was worried about them fitting. I knew they would be useful because he does a pig roast at least 3 times a year. This month he used the gloves. He said he had a hard time getting them on. So if you have big hands you might want to use some powder in them. But he said they were excellent for protecting him from the heat. He was able to put his hand into a fully cook 100lb pig without feeling any heat on his hands at all. I watched him use them and he had no problem grabbing the meat while using the gloves. After the gloves were greasy and he was trying to get them off, he did have trouble there too. I think it might be more because he has bigger hands then anything else. I suggested he use a little corn starch in them the next time.

A must have!!!
I don't usually write reviews, but I was actually surprised at how well this worked. Was a bit skeptical at first, didn't really think that silicone could hold the temperature like that... But I was wrong. This product is on point. I took out baking rack at 400 F for 30 mins in these gloves (diving off on the deep end) and didn't feel a thing. I drained boiling pots in these gloves and didn't feel a thing. I'd give more examples, but these are the only two things I've tried so far. Recommend to anyone who cooks or has some one they know that cooks. Stuff is solid!

A miracle of modern technology
I was skeptical, as looking at these you assume that they would melt the second they hit anything slightly hot. But miraculously they protect your hands from scalding heat for a good 15 seconds or maybe longer (I didn't actually time it). If you hold something incredibly hot much longer than that you start to feel the heat in your fingertips, but seriously how long do you need to hold a scalding hot lasagna dish you're taking out of the oven? 5 seconds maybe? For cooking purposes it's perfect, and I've also used it to change light bulbs. I'm sure there are a million good uses outside of the kitchen. Good inexpensive purchase and I'm expecting them to last a very long time.
