Yes, I have used it on my face with good results. As with the rest of application make sure to lightly apply so that no streaking or darker areas appear.

Why is my jar a thick orange cream instead of a white lotion?

I'd contact the company - they *could* have changed their formula. The last time I purchased this a few months ago, it was still a white lotion.

I work out often. Does it fade or come off when you sweat?

I haven't experienced it coming off with sweat or streaking either. You need a bit of friction to get it to fade. And it really does fade instead of becoming splotchy.
