I left a review that was not positive for this product. I have been using it for 30 years. But this last time, I had a kidney stone that wouldn’t move, so I was pretty disappointed and left a poor review. However, I since went into the doctor and they did a scan of it. It’s 3/4 of an inch long. I don’t think anything is going to remove that except surgery. This product has worked for me for 30 years. I will be ordering it again. I’d like to delete my other review, but I can’t seem to do it. So I’m going to leave this positive review. It’s great! But don’t expect a three-quarter inch kidney stone to move out of your body. It’s going to have to be removed.

I’ve been using this product for over two years now to control bladder stones in a Guinea pig I have who is very prone to them. Provided she is taking this regularly, she never has any issues since starting this. She (and every pig I have ever given it to) seem to love the taste. I dissolve a few tablets in a couple ounces of water and syringe feed her about a mL per day. Has a pleasant, almost maple-y smell and a bottle lasts me between 4-6 months.

Might sound silly but I bought this for my guinea pig who was having problems with bladder stones. I gave up on the vet and I could not afford surgery, so this was my last resort. I found out about it after reading various message boards online about how this product helped other guinea pig pet owners. I gave my piggy (as suggested on one message board) one pill each day by dissolving it in water with 1 cc in the morning and one at night. After the first day she passed one stone and after a little over a week she passed everything (she had several smaller stones). Now she is no longer in pain and all over stones appear to be gone! I still give it to her as a preventative. Definitely recommend this product for pet owners with pets who have stone issues.

The original ShilinTong has always been a drug that performs well for every patient in whom it is indicated. It's unfortunate that the sturdy brown glass bottle has been replaced by a synthetic plastic. The synthetic petrochemical in direct contact with the drug causes a 5 star product become a four star product.

I have been giving this to my guinea pig for the past two years to treat her chronic bladder inflammation. We saw 5 different vets who could not identify a cause and tried various pain killers to treat the symptoms, and nothing worked. I read about this supplement on the internet and thought - why not? Nothing else had worked and she was continuing to decline. Within a week of taking this, she stopped crying while peeing, stopped peeing blood, and started eating again. I’m convinced this stuff saved her life.

I found this herbal tablet after having kidney stones and nothing the doctors gave me worked to help stop them from forming or help me to heal after having them. I was given these by an herbalist who is very good at his job. I actually bought these and sent them to my sister when she was having kidney stones and they helped her just as they had helped me. I am sure not everyone might have the same experience and I would never say to take these instead of going to a doctor. All I know is that they help me and my sister to decrystalize our kidneys.

My pig has passed his bladder stones. I dissolved 1 pill in water, about 1/2 teaspoon of pellets, cranberry extract, 1/2 capsule of potassium citrate and some apple juice concentrate per day. Gave him by syringe, nearly 8 oz. of this per day. After a few weeks he is stone free... no surgery necessary! What a relief!
