Dixie EMS Blood Pressure and Sprague Stethoscope Kit - Black

I bought the Dixie EMS Blood Pressure and Stethoscope Kit for my nursing training, and it has honestly been perfect for what I needed. The cuff is easy to put on, the gauge reads clearly, and the bulb inflates smoothly without sticking. I practiced on my family and classmates, and it gives consistent readings. The stethoscope isn’t as high-end as a Littmann (of course for the price), but I can still hear heart sounds and blood pressure clearly in a quiet room. The case is a big plus—makes it easy to carry with my skills bag. If you’re a CNA, nursing student, or just want something reliable for home use, this is a solid starter kit. Affordable, works well, and gets the job done!

I’ve been looking for a pink BP kit for a while & I’m so happy with this cute BP cuff and stethoscope kit I bought for school after my old one broke. Shipping AND delivery was super fast, it arrived the day after I ordered it and was right on time for school the next day. I’ve only used it once in class for taking vitals, and so far, so good! Don’t be alarmed—the bulb and pressure gauge come disconnected; just pop them on, and you’re good to go. The accuracy and sound quality are spot-on, and while the ear tips feel a bit crooked in my ears, it’s still very effective. My only other complaint? I wish the pink BP cuff was the exact same shade as the stethoscope! The size is perfect and fits nicely in the included bag, much better than the janky one my school gave me. UPDATE: As of November 29, 2024, this BP cuff kit is still working great during my externship. The stethoscope delivers clear sound quality, and both pieces are durable for daily use. It’s an excellent, affordable choice for students and professionals.

Excellent Sprague stethoscope! I’m a retired RN, and needed a new manual BP kit for home use. Very satisfied with the cuff and stethoscope. FYI. always ensure that any manual stethoscope is calibrated correctly with the black arrow centered in the mmHg rectangle symbol. If it needs to be adjusted, there is a key included to adjust the black arrow. After taking a BP reading, always ensure that the residual air is squeezed out of any BP cuff to get the accurate position of the arrow. I RECOMMEND this product. It is a great value for $25, and of decent quality.

I picked this kit up for a First Responder training course, and I admit I was very leery of the purchase since most of the reviews seemed to revolve around the color of the scope which is not helpful. As I am not a nurse or an EMT I knew I didn't need to go too expensive with a higher end stethoscope ( of course if I did a friend of mine who is a nurse swears by Littman.) yet I also need a very good working scope for class and general use to learn administer blood pressure and listen to heart and lung activity as well. I was warned against a Sprague style scope in class, because if the clamps come loose the tubes rubbing together could create an echo. However my instructor, who is a Paramedic looked over this scope with me and said quite frankly that the Sprague is her favorite because the bell actually has an off/on feature and the bell is also double sided with an adult and an infant/child side. My instructor also showed me that with the double tubing it creates better support making it easier to hold the scope properly by not putting fingers on the back of the bell, particularly the thumb which on a single tube, single side bell can create a double heartbeat, i.e. yours and the patient. As for the possibility of the tubes rubbing together creating an echo my instructor said tape it, the fix is that easy. She also said I did good by choosing this scope, and that it is a great scope for class and beyond and that for an inexpensive scope it is well made. It comes with one set of replacement lenses (tho' an EMT informed the class that cutting a section of x-ray film to fit works as well. Just a little hack to help out in a pinch.) It also includes three extra black plastic bells (adult thru child) that can be screwed on and used if the metal is too cold, and two extra sets of ear tips so that the right fit for your ears can be found. The cuff is actually of lesser quality and I was assured by my Nurse friend and my instructor that this is fine as long as the pump works accordingly and the gauge reads accurately (my set works fine on both accounts.) I was informed that it is okay to budget a little cheaper for the cuff since the bladders wear out on them with regular use and will be replace anyway so no sense in spending more than necessary. So far I can't claim any difficulty with this set at all, it has been a great and wonderfully affordable set and with practice it gets easier to use and I do seem to hear just fine. I have recommended this set to my classmates as well.

Purchased the Dixie EMS Blood Pressure and Sprague Stethoscope Kit for my daughter who is currently taking the EMT certification course. This was recommended by her instructor to purchase. Kit was delivered within one day. All items are working as they should. Reasonably priced. A+++

Not a bad product for price point and very sturdy. I love that there are two markers on the cuff for left or right placement. Great for a starter or in school.

I bought this for home use. At first, everything seemed perfect: nice color, carrying pouch, decent quality, clear directions, comes with replacement parts, etc. Unfortunately, it was nearly impossible to use on myself because I couldn't properly tighten the cuff one-handed. It's probably fine if someone else is tightening it but without a D-Ring to slide evenly along the cuff and aid with tightening, the velcro repeatedly caught too early and/or unevenly, rendering it useless. Returned.

After the slight mistake on my original order,they sent me right away a replacement set for free ant they are perfect!! The best stethoscope ive ever bought and the sphygmonamometer seems great too and with a penlight as well!!! Thank you!!
