Dyson Soft Roller Cleaner Head for Dyson Models (For V11 Models)

Have this roller head for 4 months now, been using it everyday on hardwood floor cleaning. We prefer this one than the brush roller head that came with the V11 for hardwood floor. It is gentle to the touch and very effective in terms of picking up cat litter, fur, hair, dust from floor. Reason we decided to keep this on pretty much all the time because the brush roller left some permanent marking on the floor, while this one has not. Also, the swivel on this one is more flexible and easer to use than V11's factory brush roller head. However, for carpet we still switch to brush roller head since V11 will automatically adjust the rotating speed in response to the frictions on carpet, which is very effective sucking all the dust and debris embedded in carpet. This roller head does not have that automatic torque / speed control. However, for hardwood floor the single speed is more than enough. Another point is the two front wheels on this roller are much beefier than the ones under brush roller hand, they are thinner and tiny in comparison. After a year of use they wore out completely and made the brush roller unusable (I replaced them). It is unlikely it will happen to this roller since the front wheels are much thicker. Anyway, glad we bought this Dyson roller head.

To start off, this is definitively the CORRECT unit for V11 models. I myself have the Torque Drive, and while I was disappointed that it didn't include the Soft Roller out of the box for what I paid, it was a worthwhile addition nonetheless. While the included Torque Drive Brush does work well enough on hardwood floors, it is quite loud and fills me with anxiety that I'm scratching up my floor. The Soft Roller is extraordinarily quiet and indeed soft, and picks up every tiny piece of lint, dirt, hair, and debris that I roll it over. It is motorized identically to how the Torque Drive Brush is. Some people complain that the clear plastic on the top of the Soft Roller comes already cracked/damaged, but despite its appearance, I can assure you that it's simply part of the original design (just look at the photo on the listing). All in all, an excellent addition to my ever growing arsenal of Dyson vacuum attachments!

Wanted this because I felt that the powerhead that came with the V11 Torque was scratching my floors. I've been procrastinating about getting it because of the cost of the vacuum itself and then add another $100 onto that. I finally bit the bullet and went for the $100 because that was cheaper than having to re-do my floors. I have a cat and some litter and I feel that it picks up the litter better than the regular powerhead. My floors also seem less dusty after using this. The only thing I'm not crazy about is the movement .. it swivels easily and the other powerhead did not. I feel I don't have total control over where this thing is going. But, I'll deal with it and I'm sure I'll get used to it after using it a week or so. I also checked the head itself after I vacuumed all the hardwoods (litter and all) and there was nothing caught on or in the rollers which I was concerned about. So all in all, I'm pleased and I would recommend it to anyone concerned about their hardwood floors

Amazing for hardwood/laminate flooring. Yes it’s expensive. But it works great

1- I ordered the V11 fluffy head and it is not the one pictured. It is a dyson product but it does not have the small rear roller. However, it fits and works...but false advertising. 2- I found it cheaper on EBAY later...oh well. 3- Just to test, I had the torque head on and checked the time on battery. Then switched to the fluffy head. The time was 10 minutes less...just fyi. Gave it 4 stars because it does fit and it does work better that the torque head on hard floors. Would have preferred it to be the one shown with the small covered roller in the back.

I debated for a while on shelling out this much for a vacuum accessory. I have the V11 torque drive and while many reviews will say the original head can be used on all flooring due to the torque head being adjustable, that’s not true. The original head pushed large debris and very fine particles around. I use wood pellets for litter and cleaning up this mess on hard floors is almost impossible with the traditional brush head. It just pushes the pellets around. My daughter and I pot a lot of plants and larger potting soil pieces and small rocks are also a nightmare. This attachment is a game changer. Very quiet and efficient. Dyson really is a favorite and all models should come with this accessory.

I bought this for my V11 torque drive and it seems to work well with it. It arrived in new condition. I wish this roller head came with the V11, but if you have a lot of hardwood or tile floors buying this separately seems to be the best option. It’s a very soft, almost velvety head and does seem to pick up all food debris on my kitchen floor. Please with it, just wish it weren’t so expensive!!

It's really a shame Dyson didn't offer an Absolute version of the V11 here in the US, so you don't get this tool with the Torque Drive or Animal versions. Not great to spend $700 on a vacuum, just to have to drop another $120 on this attachment. BUT, this attachment makes a huge difference for any hard surface flooring, superior to the Torque Drive head that comes with the V11. I noticed it was especially good at particles of cat litter, cereal, dirt and tiny rocks brought in on the bottom of our shoes, etc. It doesn't kick them back through the head and scatter them like the Torque Drive head does, which was the biggest issue I had and what helped justify this purchase. The fluffy, as many call it, is a must-have for any non-carpet flooring.

Lo compré para poder aspirar pisos lisos y ha funcionado muy bien. Además, intenté utilizarla en alfombra, y con la sorpresa de que también funcionó muy bien. El rodillo tiene unas muescas de plástico donde se raspa para permitir el aspirado de cualquier basura que se haya quedado pegada al rodillo, lo que facilita la limpieza. Otro beneficio que encontré en este cabezal es que tiene un rodillo en la parte posterior que arrastra cualquier resto de basura que se haya quedado atrás.

Great brush! It fits my V11 Dyson beautifully and is really soft on my floors. It moves with ease and I could not be happier. This was really difficult to find anywhere else and I’ll thrilled.

This is an OEM part. Works very well. Exactly the same as the one that came with the vacuum cleaner. It’s the soft one. Very effective on hard floors.
