Princeton Aqua Elite, Series 4850, Synthetic Kolinsky Watercolor Paint Brush,Round, 4

I love these Aqua Elite brushes!

I didn’t know how badly I needed this brush until I started using it. It holds a lot of water and has a really nice point so I can go from large areas to fine detail without switching brushes.

A must have for watercolor painting. High quality brush

I had seen these brushes used by other watercolorists, and they raved about them. I thought I would give them a try, I’m glad I did! For a reasonably (NOT CHEAP) priced synthetic brush, I feel, they are comparable to pricier brushes, these are great! ! They hold more than adequate amount of water. Have a soft not stiff feel. Snap back to a sharp precise point. Have some kind of soft coating on the handle, not varnished wood or bare wood, which feels great in my arthritic hands. I just received and tried these so I can’t vouch for longevity yet, but right now I love them. I purchased size #6, #4, #2, and #1 Princeton Aqua Elite rounds. I paint a lot of florals that require detailed and controlled brush strokes, these do exactly that! I WILL be purchasing this line in their detail sizes. LOVE them!

The Princeton Aqual Elite series are high quality and function very well, holding lots of water and pigment. Their soft bristles glide easily on your paper. They are a nice size and weight and are very comfortable to use. These high quality brushes are a great value for the money.

I am happy with my little brush. I have always bought Kolinsky type brushes and my artwork has style has change a bit and they were not good for what I do. Too soft. I love the point on this little guy, and it holds more paint than you'd think looking at it. I will be trying another size soon.

I used this brush togethet with other size brush to paint this picture. It’s bigger than I thought. Some brand #2 are smaller. This one looks like #4 for other brands. No complaint. I was able to paint rose petals and the result is great. I didn’t know I bought 2 brushes of the same size but I didn’t want to cancel because I would be cancelled all orders, and just noticed it minutes after I checked out. But it Prime day and bought this on discounted price. It’s good to have extra good brush.

I wanted to get back into watercolor painting and after watching several artists on Youtube use this brand, I thought I'd try one. It holds water well without over wetting the paper. The point holds very well and I found painting very thin lines to fat strokes were easy to achieve. Good for beginners but also professionals (I'm intermediate). I use primarily paint flowers. Have purchased a couple other sizes since then.

The packing was disappointing It looked used without the plastic cap Had to fix the bristles using hot water.. Princeton as always, does what it says, the brush is good!

I love the Princeton Aqua Elite series. Great and reliable brushes that won’t deplete your bank account.
