With just daily use, in a couple days, this seems to have eliminated a couple small spots that I had, that tend to get dry and flaky. (That is the main reason I bought it) The oil is light and sinks right in and doesn't leave a greasy or oily look. Even though the oil itself is a transparent dark green, it is invisible after it's applied. It doesn't show at all on my skin or even where I've rubbed it into one tiny spot, on my forehead by my very blonde hairline. The fragrance is not perfume-like. It's more of a light, herbal-type smell. I don't believe though that it's strong enough to be smelled by others around you, (unless they're right up close, sniffing the area it's applied to). Once it's been absorbed into your skin, it's soon almost unnoticeable. The closest I could describe the fragrance, would be somewhat reminiscent of maybe...a slight sage and/or celery-seed spice smell. Unless you find that smell particularly objectionable, I don't think you'd dislike this. I've read cold pressed Tamanu oil is also good as a neutral carrier oil as well as for minimizing the appearance of scars, uneven skin tone or dark spots. I haven't had enough time to test that yet. I've also read people have found it beneficial in treating the appearance of eczema, psoriasis, although I don't have either of those conditions so can't report on that. So far, I really like this oil and would definitely recommend it for skin care.

Very soft velvety stuff. I used it for my personal body butter and I'm in love. I personally have had no problems with it. It absorbs well and helps keep my skin soft.

I bought tamanu oil so I can make my own oil cleansing blend as well as apply it to my skin to reduce hyperpigmentacian and acne scars. Tamanu is a beautiful oil & front what I can tell, this is legitimate tamnu oil. Its a rich green color with a slight herbal smell (thats what you want, that typically indicates that the nutritional value has not diminished & that it indeed has been cold pressed). When buying oils for skin or hair care, it is so important to purchase hexane-free, organic, & cold pressed oils. I have not been disappointed from buying this brand & the usda certification is a good sign that this product is true. One thing I must note, some products may not work as well for others. & when this happens, I see individuals rating a product with one star if they didn't get the results they wanted in the time they expected, however, it doesn't mean the product is bad at all. It is unfair to rate products poorly if they are high quality, especially since everyone's skin and expectations are different. This oil is true to what it states, thats all that is important. & what I can say about Tamnu oil is that it had been a huge part of my journey for reducing acne scarring & I love it, it also glides beautifully on the skin. I will update in the near future.

Awesome product! Works really well for dry skin- worked really quick to heal cracked hands even. Only negative is it smells like chicken ramen.

This review is mainly a description of the scent of Tamanu Oil from Pura dor. I’m impressed with Pura dor products as they always smell fresh and are certified USDA organic. My bottle of Tamandu oil is very fresh with no hint of rancidness, which can happen when an unrefined cold pressed oil has been sitting on the shelf for too long. So here is a picture of its color, deep green, which has no impact on the color of your skin when it is smoothed into it. And it almost completely absorbs into the skin, leaving no greasy feeling behind. Now a few words on the scent: it is more strongly scented than argan oil, almond oil or any other oil that I’ve ever used as a carrier oil. You would have to really choose the right essential oil to pair with it. Or let it’s scent stand alone. If you don’t care for the scent, since it is rather fragrant and lingers, it could easily be off-putting, especially if you put it on your face. Now, if you take unrefined black walnut oil, shea butter and a bit of coffee and put those smells together, you would understand the aroma description-deep, nutty, earthy. Having said all that, I like the scent of Tamanu oil. It’s a very unique scent. But the biggest reason I went forward with the purchase of this oil is what I read about it on WebMD and other websites. So I’m happy that I enjoy its scent and hope to find many good uses for it.

Heard alot about tamanu and how it's good for hyperpigmemtation and spots. Guess its all lies, or this product is all shade of wrong or my dry skin is not accepting. Either ways, it did nothing for me. Stuck with the dark bottle of green oil. Giving it a 3 star because maybe, just maybe it maybe good for others and unaccepting of my dry skin. I hope my hair like them because I bought 3 different oils from the company

Packaged well , and is very water like thickness , lightly green ( like it’s supposed to be if it’s real ) . And smells of maple syrup but also sweet like cookies ? Cake ? I saw so many review saying it stunk bad or was thick and dark . Thankfully mine was not . The consistency is not sticky or greasing feeling on skin, super light weight . Will be using on my skin for acne - will update .

I love this stuff. So good for fading dark spots and healing skin.

Llevo poco tiempo usándola pero he notado la piel más hidratada, más flexible, la uso solo por la noche ya q tiene un olor peculiar, no es desagradable pero prefiero ponerla solo x la noche, la compré para desvanecer manchas pero comentaré más adelante si obtuve resultados

I really like how big the container for the price specially if I go to a wellness store tamanu oil usually cost a lot and I used a lot of it for my skincare. I am acne prone and with tamanu oil it helps to soothes and heals the wound that cause of the acne and also my hyperpigmentation after the acne gone. It may not have a drastic results but I can feel that my skin loves tamanu oil so much specially at night.

While this ended up not being for me (a bit too rich for my face leading to breakouts, tried to use it by mixing it in with my hand creams at least), this is a quality product. It's rich, and a nice dark green colour. Unrefined (or barely, at least in my opinion), you can even see some specs here and there. Just a solid, natural, pure product. Excellent value and the packaging is solid.

The smell takes some getting used to but it is so moisturizing on the skin. A little goes a long way. The viscosity is thick, similar to castor oil. If your skin can tolerate castor oil, then you should be fine but you could still breakout if you use too much. All in all, I'd recommend mixing it with a lightweight oil that agrees with your skin for best results.
