Perfect purse and pocket substitute
I'm a practical woman. I hate carrying purses because I want both hands and arms free at all times. I constantly complain that women's clothes don't have enough pockets. When they do, they're often so small that even a credit card won't fit inside completely. I smashed my last phone when it slipped out of the pocket of my jeans that it only fit halfway inside. My upgraded phone with a larger screen (Galaxy S4) challenged my purse-free lifestyle more than ever. I needed something that would allow me to carry my phone and essential cards (license, credit card, etc.) with me safely without tying up an arm or a hand. My phone organizes my work day by keeping me going from meeting to meeting with access to my schedule and all the documents I need, so I couldn't carry around something too large or something that could easily slip out of my arms. In addition to omitting pockets, most women's dress pants do not have belt loops. Anything that clips on a belt is out and I couldn't bring myself to strap on a fanny pack while meeting clients. Enter the Solution: Running Buddy. It fits my phone in one pocket well without the case and barely with the large-ish case that I bought. If I leave the case off my phone, it can comfortably fit at least 10 cards plus some cash in the other pocket. I've been keeping it on the front of my pants, where it disappears under my shirt. The magnets are strong and keep it in place. I could store my wallet on the refrigerator. It's also small enough to fit in a jacket pocket (some women's outdoor clothing still feature a limited number of full-size pockets! But you can't wear a jacket when it's 90 degrees outside). I'm not a runner, but I can imagine that it might pull some loose-fitting shorts down if you pack it heavy. I do quite a bit of hiking, however. Sometimes I bike to the woods after work. It never interferes with my 5+ mile hikes wearing my biking shorts/pants. An added benefit is that I no longer have to ask my husband to carry my belongings in one of his 17 pockets, a request that invariably incited scoffs, grumbles, and sighs. Did the Running Buddy change my life? Perhaps not. But it liberated me from the limitations of women's fashion and allows me to live exactly the way I want to: hands free, arms free, with a place to carry everything important.

Perfect waist pouch
Best hands free fanny pack. I have the large size and have been using it for a couple of years. I have a Fold 7 so it outgrew the large size pack. Even though the XL is only .2" wider it fits great and was just different enough to support the larger phone in a case. Perfection, thank you.👌

The best!
I opted for the horizontal design VS vertical design since I figured it would be easier to sit/bend/crouch without it bumping my leg/lap. Glad I did... I can't even feel it when I'm wearing it! Purchased the xl but found it too snug for my phone (even tho measurements said it would fit). The net/elastic pocket you use to house your phone has a zipper... and the edge of my protective rubbery case on phone kept snagging on the zipper seam edge making it difficult to pull out with ease. When I removed my rubbery case, no issue. So if you have a rubbery/grippy case (VS a smooth one that will slide easily), you may want to consider sizing up. The XXL differs in design a bit though: Returned the XL for the XXL (horizontal design) and my phone with rubbery case slipped in and out with ease perfectly....partly due to it being a bit larger but also because the XXL does not have a zippered net pouch. Worked way better for me. The larger size didn't feel any bigger or bulkier than the xl. It also differed from the XL by having a small area on bottom of net pocket for your earphone cord to go thru (which zips when not in use). It still had the additional solid pocket in both designs (to hold ID, key, etc). Both designs are great... But just worth mentioning the differences. No issue with the magnets... They provide a very secure fit that makes it stay put! Also it's barely noticeable when wearing under loose fitting top over it. Can be worn front or back depending on what tasks you're doing. Wish I had found this sooner! Highly recommend... And appreciate the thought that went into this product.

Modern Fanny Pack
Very good tight fit. No belt required. Conforms to your waist line really well and feels like an extension to your pants instead of an add-on. It's like an additional front pant pocket on your hip. Saying this, doing frequent monetary transactions/exchanges like for a garage sale for example is not ideal It's able to hold my Nexus 6P with extra room. You have to clip on the running buddy in front or back of waist instead of the side, which may look a bit awkward in public if you are not jogging or doing physical activity. You are able to clip it on the side of your waist, but note that the magnets may not get a secure hold on each other and its difficult to take your phone/large accessories out due to the tight fit It's held together by strong magnets, and does not move or bounce around at all. Most of the time, you don't even realize it's there unless you make a conscious effort to do so. Excellent for physical activity as it doesn't bounce around like when using a belt clip on. It has a small zipper on the side for wired headphones. I personally find wired headphone annoying when doing cardio activities and tend to gravitate towards bluetooth/wireless headphones as they don't dangle while being active. They'll dangle more with this than arm or wrist phone straps due to distance. But if that doesn't bother you then nice option to have for those who want to use it Interior is split into two pockets for compartmentalization with the one closer to the body being more water resistant Will it sag down your pants? Depends on the waist grip of your pants initially and if it has draw string or belt. If your pants get dragged down by putting stuff in the front pockets its mostly likely going drag down with the same contents in the running buddy, but slightly more flexible on weight due to it's position on the body Outer material is made of the same material as the air-flow back padding in most high end backpacks and is super breathable. Things I wish they would change is make the company logo more subtle Other than that; to have on-the-go. Acts as an additional pocket for your pants/shorts/etc.

Secure Magnet
Secure, Comfortable, and Actually Stays Put! I’ve tried a lot of running belts and fanny packs, but this Running Buddy Belt Bag (XXL) is by far the best one yet. It’s roomy enough to hold my phone, keys, cash, and cards, and still stays slim and low-profile while I run. The no-bounce, chafe-free design really lives up to the promise — even during longer runs and workouts, it stays securely in place without sliding, bouncing, or irritating my skin. The magnetic closure is surprisingly strong, and the water-resistant material keeps my phone safe from sweat or light rain. I also appreciate that it doesn’t feel bulky at all. The 7 x 4 inch size is perfect for larger phones (mine fits with a case), and there’s still space for other small items. Whether I’m running, biking, hiking, or just walking the dog, it’s become an everyday essential. Pros: ✔️ Truly bounce-free and comfortable ✔️ Fits large phones and essentials ✔️ Strong magnetic closure ✔️ Lightweight and water-resistant ✔️ Great for both men and women Cons: ❌ Not ideal for holding water bottles ❌ No headphone port (but most people use wireless anyway) If you’re looking for a high-quality running belt that actually stays in place and holds what you need without the bulk, I highly recommend this one. Worth every penny!

Absolutely perfect for anyone who moves and has a phone
I bought this Running Buddy pouch from Amazon in Oct 2014. I am active and my favorite pants ever, my yoga pants, do not have pockets. I am always listening to something, be it an audio book or music, so I need my phone with me at all times. I am always having to carry it in my hand which is a huge hassle... have you ever tried walking a rambunctious dog while carrying a phone? Chances are the phone will be flung out of your hands. I tried arm bands and they do not work. They slide down my arm before I take my first step (really, have these ever worked for anybody?). I considered waist packs but they look so bulky and nerdy and I don't think my android would fit comfortably. I finally saw the Running Buddy online and decided to give it a try. And I LOVE it. Is it perfect? Is anything ever? But if you're going to wear your phone, you're going to have to compromise, and the Running Buddy is comfortable, snug, discreet and stays put. Well my teenager is a runner and started borrowing my Running Buddy, so often that when I went to put it on I had to hunt for wherever he left it last. As I was out shopping during Christmas I saw a kiosk that sold the Pocket Plus. It is similar to the Running Buddy but it is vertical. For a couple weeks before Christmas I still had to put up with my son borrowing my Running Buddy but finally the day came when he had his own phone holder - yay! But the first time he wore it out he came running back in a minute later, angry, and said it was no good. Apparently it bounced against his body as he ran. So I traded my Running Buddy for his Pocket Plus. I don't run so much so how bad could it be just wearing it around the house and neighborhood and in the gym? OK, so he's right. It's no good. It hangs long so it bounces against the body when you move. I tried it for a day or two and finally decided to buy myself another Running Buddy. So I am buying another one, and how happy am I to see it is now available to fit the iPhone 6. When it arrives he’ll get the new one and I’ll reclaim my Running Buddy!

I've used an arm band for my IPhone 4S for over a year and it worked great but it doesn't hold much other than my phone/I
My first running pouch. I've used an arm band for my IPhone 4S for over a year and it worked great but it doesn't hold much other than my phone/I.D. and the Velcro part was beginning to come unattached much easier. I decided to try the "Buddy Pouch". I am a distance runner who like most others are training their bodies toward a goal, mine happens to be a marathon next month. I went with the buddy pouch after seeing a family member use it but my biggest concern was "would it bounce"? I received the pouch quickly and first thing I noticed was its strong magnetic clips. This thing holds nice and tight inside your running shorts. You don't need to worry about it slipping out. Next were the two pockets inside. It fits my iPhone just fine and has room for a key or key fob. You just don't want to put anything too bulky in here as you may not be able to Velcro it closed all the way. Maybe magnets to secure the cover would be a good idea if they don't interfere with the magnets on the back. But anyways I also keep a small Sabre pepper spray inside as I live in a rural area and have spotted ultimate animals to include dogs and a bear! Run#1 While running with the pouch centered on my back I immediately noticed BOUNCE within 20 feet of a jog.(this is with iPhone 4S and small pepper spray bottle) I never tighten my draw strings because the elastic on my shorts hold tight to my waist just fine. So I stopped, running APP still timing me which I didnt want to fuss stopping it and turning it back on, I already started my run and was trying to get my head in the game for at least 1hr 1/2 ahead of me! I quickly tightens up the drawstring around my waste to provide more of a snug fit, this made it feel better, a little let noticeable. Run#2 I now drive to a park, position the Buddy Pouch on my rear centered back and begin running. This is a different mesh pair of shorts again with an elastic waist. The pouch is bouncing, a lot. This time I'm carrying my phone and a single Key Fob. I pull the front of my shorts out to check for the drawstring and it's been pulled into the shorts so I can't pull it out to make a knot! I then decided to put the pouch on the front of my waist positioned in the center like the pictures state that come with the product. I noticed much less bounce than in the back. I was also able to easily take my phone in and out of the pouch now while on the run. Front placement worked much better for me. It's my first running pouch. I haven't tried a waist pouch yet so I can't compare. Pro's: Magnetic clips are strong that attach to shorts 2 pockets good enough to fit about 3 gel packs in one a phone in the other plus a car key. Sturdy/durable construction Con's: Bounces when shorts aren't tied tight to your body I would recommend this for the daily runner. Like I said you can try it on your back but I prefer wearing it on the front of my body for the accessibility and minimal bounce on my waist.

Finally, the perfect pouch for RUNNERS!
I've been through 3 fanny/running pouches before finding the Running Buddy; a wrap-around-the-waist expandable fanny pack, a pouch in my hydration belt, and an arm band for my phone. Each one worked for a while, but then I'd realize something was not meeting my standards. I have three very specific criteria when searching for the best running pack. 1) It has to be lightweight and unnoticeable. In other words, I don't want to know I'm wearing it. 2) It has to be big enough to hold my Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and other items. 3) It has to be water resistant/proof to protect my $800 smartphone. The wrap-around-the-waist fanny pack was lightweight and it's ability to expand meant I could put a ton of stuff in it. However, it was far from water proof/resistant. Wrapping my phone in a ziploc baggie or saran wrap to protect it from water caused it to overheat. Additionally, it cut into my waist giving me painful sores. The hydration belt was convenient because it was just one item I had to wear, but it wasn't water proof/resistant and it's not lightweight or unnoticeable, and I don't wear it during races. And it also cuts into my waist. The arm band was a disaster regarding all three of my criteria...I wore it once. So, in search of something, anything that would meet my criteria, I headed to Facebook and posted the question to a running group. Dozens of comments later, a few products were mentioned. And then a lone comment said, "Check out the Running Buddy". With all of the products mentioned, I did my research and based on the manufacturer's info and customer reviews (and even a few emails exchanges directly with the manufacturers), I found that the Running Buddy was the only one that claimed to meet all 3 of my criteria. So, I ordered it, thinking if it didn't work out I'd only be out $25 (compared to $40+ for the other recommended options). Upon receiving my Running Buddy, I immediately noticed that my phone fit just perfectly, but left no room for my headphone jack. Honestly, I was a little annoyed with myself for not checking that out before I bought it. So, I went to their website and there was a video about poking a hole in the side with a nail. Hmmm...not the best solution, and definitely an engineering flaw in my mind, but I did it anyway. Before I go on, let me say that the nail hole in the side has worked perfectly with no seepage. So, the next morning, I was ready for my first run with my Running Buddy, and wouldn't you know it, it was raining outside. I don't have a problem running in the rain, but I had not tested the claim of water proof/resistance made by Running Buddy. Part of me thought about leaving it behind and running anyway, but I figured why not go for broke on the test and see how it holds up. Besides, I have insurance on my phone and can easily replace that. So, off I went into the pouring rain with my first experience using the Running Buddy. During the run, I thought several times about taking the pouch back home and finishing my run without it, but I kept going. After 10 miles in sideways rain, I got home, dried off, and took my phone out of the pouch to inspect the damage. The results? The only water drops on my phone were from my wet hands when I pulled it out. In other words, it stayed as dry as a bone the entire time. As for comfort, I honestly don't know it's hanging off the front of my shorts. Granted, I have to tie my shorts good or the weight of it will pull them down, but not so tight that they're uncomfortable. Many times on long runs, I'll look down and be like, "Oh yeah, there's my Running Buddy." No kidding. It's that unnoticeable. I did try wearing it in the back, but it bounced too much. Wearing it in the front is a non-issue for me. As a bonus, because it doesn't wrap around my waist, I don't have to keep adjusting it and fighting chafing like I did with the wrap around fanny pack and hydration belt. As for my final criteria to hold everything, my Samsung Galaxy Note 5 fits snugly inside of it. Yes, snugly. But I'd rather have my phone secure than bouncing around inside of a pouch. There's not much more room to fit anything else inside of the water-resistant pouch once my phone is inside, BUT, there's a completely separate pouch for things like keys, gels, and other smaller items. Keep in mind, the Running Buddy isn't a suitcase. If you need to carry a lot of stuff, it may not be the choice for you. But for me, as a marathon runner, it carries everything I need securely. If they ever created a wider version, I'd probably upgrade for the extra space. Hey Running Buddy, contact me for some design ideas and feedback! :) Finally, I have to say that I got a bonus surprise that I was not expecting. I had a question about cleaning my Running Buddy, so I went to their website and read the FAQs. I didn't get the answer I was looking for, so I emailed them. Their website said, "Contact us...and we will get back in touch with you within 24 hrs." so I expected to hear back within 24-hours. Guess how long it took them to get back with me? THREE MINUTES! And, their response wasn't some canned customer service response. It was personal and directly answered my question. A follow up email by me resulted in another response in FIVE MINUTES! And a final follow up by me resulted in a response in TWO MINUTES. By email! What company responds that quickly by email?!?!? Should you expect that fast of response time from them if you have a question? Of course not...that's not fair to them, especially as they get bigger (maybe they'll prove me wrong with this). However, I'm confident you'll get a personal response that answers your questions directly. In summary, the Running Buddy is perfect for me. I highly recommend it for any runner looking for a unobtrusive, water proof/resistant pouch that is big enough to hold today's large smartphones and other items. I won't be searching for any other solutions, unless of course they come out with a wider version of the pouch!

AN ABSOLUTELY TOP QUALITY PRODUCT!
THE QUALITY OF THIS POUCH IS EXCELLENT & MY IPHONE 8, WITH IT'S CASE ON (THE CASE IS A FLIP OVER LEATHER ONE WHICH COVERS BOTH SIDES OF THE PHONE - SO IT IS CERTAINLY NOT SLIM!) EASILY FITS INSIDE IT. THE POUCH IS EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE TO WEAR & FEELS COMPLETELY 100% SECURE. THERE ARE 2 COMPARTMENTS INSIDE THE POUCH, ONE OF WHICH IS FASTENED WITH A VELCRO TAB. THERE IS A 2" ZIP ON ONE OF THE SIDE SEAMS THRO' TO POP A HEADPHONE LEAD THROUGH TO YOUR PHONE IF YOU HAVEN'T GOT BLUE TOOTH ENABLED. THE POUCH ALSO CAME WITH 2 FREE "BUDDY BLOCKER" CREDIT CARD HOLDERS WHICH PROTECT YOUR CARDS AGAINST UNAUTHORISED SCANS! MY ORDER ARRIVED THE NEXT DAY & I WOULD UNRESERVEDLY RECOMMEND BOTH THE PRODUCT & THE SELLER "GIZMO GADGETS".

A handy and useful pocket but limited functionality if using with a large phone.
I bought this to hold my Samsung Note 4 whilst running and weight training. It holds firm and does not bounce around which is great. The phone is a tight fit but fortunately there is a small zipped access slit which I can plug my headphones into my phone so I can use it for my intended use. Unfortunately there is very little room for anything else.. perhaps a key on its own and one gel for running if I needed but I haven't tried. I do think it's a little expensive for effectively what it is and given the space limitations but then it is a compromise...stick with the bum bag which bounces around but has loads of storage or go for the pouch for stability but limited to my phone and headphones.. Good concept and would be 5 stars if was a more reasonable £15 region price point. *** ADDENDUM 8th Sept 2016 *** Star rating increased to 5 (was 4) I have now been using this pouch for approximately 8 months and despite its space limitations referred to in my original review I have grown accustomed to it and have used nothing else (pouch/bumbag/belt etc wise) since. I have found that I can fit in a key (car or house, not a bunch), card/cash if needed along with my phone and has proven itself invaluable when training. Fastened to the front or rear of my clothing it has held very securely and very accessible and convenient. However and this is really why I have upgraded my review to the full 5 stars is that after this time the pouch had developed a couple of manufacturing faults. I contacted the seller (Bluegizmo) via email including a couple of photos highlighting/showing the faults and after a couple of very courteous emails within the next working day I received a free of charge replacement and a genuine apology for the problems with the pouch. You can't get better customer service than that, so perhaps I should reconsider my original statement..at least here you clearly do get what you pay for..buy a premium product, get first rate service...I just hope this second one lasts longer than the first!
