Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser for All Skin Types 16 oz

Have been using Cetaphil products for 20 years. This is the non-detergent cleanser that can be used without water if necessary, depending on your skin condition. I don't use it on my face,. but rather the more "delicate" areas so as not to get any weird rashes-I'm allergic to most soaps, detergents & scented products. I also take it to my workplace for hand washing in the winter. The institutional soap we get makes my skin crack, peel, and bleed., This will soothe your hands and is a life saver when we're all supposed to be extra careful about washing our paws! I have to shake hands a lot in my work, and the first thing I do as soon as I can get away, is wash my hands. The product is not scented, is non-foaming, and leaves a slight smooth residue after washing. Not an exciting product, but a very necessary one for me.

I love this product! My doctor had recommened it to my brother who has extremely sensitive skin. And I tried it because I ran out of my usual face wash and hasn't switched back since (4 years ago). It says you can leave a thin film on, but I find that it makes my skin itchy so I rinse it all off with warm water or if I am camping, I just wipe it off with a wet towel. It's the best as a make-up remover - especially eye makeup like mascara. I used to use the Lancome Bi-facil double action eye makeup remover which is really good, but this works even better for so much less. I also use it like a moisturizing face mask - wash and rinse face (with the cetaphil), apply a fair amount onto skin and leave for about 10 minutes, then rinse off again. This stuff is like 1/10 the cost of my previous face wash but works better! And because it's doubles as make-up remover and mask, I can carry less when I travel. BUT my husband, who has really oily skin, thinks this stuff is too "weak". He still uses it, but doesn't think its as great as I do.

I love how gentle this cleanser is on my sensitive skin and the creamy consistency of the product. The price is a little expensive but not bad considering the size of the bottle, 16 fluid ounces. The bottle should last a while.

I use this twice a day. My face cleaning goes like: AM: Wash my face with this, and after it dries use a stridex pad. Evening or post gym: Same as AM Before bed: 2.5 benzoyl peroxide, and then moisturize after that dries. I also take Green Pasture Cod Liver Oil, and make it a big focus to drink a lot of water. I haven't tried this product in isolation so to be honest I don't know how effective it is by itself. But using it in addition to acne treatments its been perfect. I had been using African Black soap to wash my face, and I think it was too much. This is very gentle, no redness, no dry skin. I had always had at least mild acne, and the past year it had gotten pretty bad, but I'm now often acne free, with at worst a couple small pimples here and there that go away quickly.

I have adult onset acne and have tried all sorts of things. The issue with my skin is that it is very dry but products either make it even more dry or very oily. I can never have just regular feeling skin. I read a lot of reviews about this facial cleanser and decided to give it a try. It works great. It still makes my skin a little dry but not badly. Immediately I saw a difference. My face still isn't clear, but it is so much clearer than it was. I use this twice a day, when I wake up and before bed. I also bought a retinol anti aging cream to use with it because I read using that with a cleanser is good for acne. So far so good. I think the reason my skin isn't completely clear may be hormonal. But like I said, after using this, I don't feel so embarrassed in public.

I live where we have extremes in temperatures both hot and cold, this doesn't help my sensitive skin whatsoever. For this reason I have been a long-time user of Philosophy Purity Made Simple. Which can be quite pricy. Recently Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser was recommended to me when I recently started to break out with itchy red winter skin. I really didn't expect this cleanser to do anything to help me. Boy was I ever wrong from the first use I noticed a big difference in the way it felt on my skin. There was no burning or stinging feeling with it on my skin. It actually felt very soothing and I am beginning to notice a real difference in my skin. My grandmother has just begun to use this product too ands, is also very impressed. I will continue to use this product and would recommend it to others.

This has been my favorite product for sensitive skin and eczema for 15 years. I just re-ordered it and I was surprised it was a new formula. I was hopeful but it smells rotten, like suddenly something in there has gone bad which I hear is a common reaction to the new formula. Also, on any type of irritated skin it doesn’t soothe it like the old formula are used to. After about two weeks of holding my breath when I use it and hoping my skin would improve, it’s gotten worse unfortunately. I’m hoping people will post suggestions for creamy no rinse irritant free alternatives like the old formula. So disappointed in Galderma this time
