Perfect tool for making Margaritas. I have another similar unit with three trays (the third tray is for Sugar) but I don't think I would ever need the third tray. However, this unit, with one tray for moisturizing the glass rim and one for edging the glass with Salt, is perfect. Highly recommend. BTW, after I received the unit, I cleaned it in my dishwasher and it is generally dishwasher safe. The only negative of washing in a dishwasher is that some of the lettering which appears on each tray ("Salt" & "Lime Juice") was scrubbed off. If it is repeatedly put in the dishwasher, I suspect the lettering would soon be completely removed.

This rim salter works well and is designed to be easy to use. It makes a perfect crust of salt on the rim of my homemade margaritas. My friends say that the margaritas I make compete with even the best top-shelf margaritas available from bars and restaurants. You need to rinse and dry the sponge in the device between uses. I found that mold will build up in the sponge, even if refrigerated, and I could not successfully remove the mold after it had set in. It is easy to remove the sponge, rinse it under the tap, dry it, and store it on top of the unit.

So far it has worked well. The material is a bit fragile but it is a matter of taking care of it.

So much easier to just fill it with lime juice, and salt and make the perfect margaritas!

Trays are deep enough, easy to clean and store. Ideally you want to be able to just tap on each tray with the cup but the sponge on the lemon tray is too stiff and doesn’t wet the rim effectively.

Bought this for my new bar addition and I got so many compliments. I read other reviews and despite others complaints this worked fine for me. Even when opening for the first time I was careful and it worked great. Zero issues using. I didn’t use the sponge it came with for sanitary reasons but it works fine without it. Love this!

This gadget is a definite must for the margarita maker and drinker. I bought this for my husband ( the maker of the best margarita ) and he likes this gadget better than the plastic yellow juicer salt container ... You know the one that you buy from the liquor department at your grocery store. It served its purpose but, this item looks so much better on his bar. I was hoping to find a stainless steel one but this is going to work out just fine. If you need one this would be a good purchase ,I think you'll agree. Cheers!
