Was surprised at how pretty and sturdy it was for the great price. It's not fancy like the resort wooden ones. But the bars and fabric are higher quality than I expected. The pole is sturdy as well as light to carry. The color is exactly as pictured on the site. When folded down it looks a little 'darker' but once the sun hits it, it really does glow the color like the photos show. The crank mechanism is so easy. I was able to do it with one hand. I was so happy it doesn't have a push-button tilt. All you do is keep cranking and it tilts itself. Have only been using in light breeze so far and it handles it well. The wrap around the outside to velcro it down is also nice. Very happy with purchase.

Just got these beautiful umbrellas and set them up. The fabric is good quality and the umbrella itself is very sturdy with the fabric actually bolted to the frame so it can’t come loose. It came with good instructions for the auto tilt and a Velcro strap. Seems to be holding up well in our very windy environment on the water. We bought a 119lb base with rollers that may be a bit overkill-but these umbrellas aren’t going anywhere! The colors are true and absolutely gorgeous with our white and turquoise/teal furniture around the pool-they even match our royal blue pool skimmer net. I am very pleased with the quality and sturdiness of these umbrellas, and they were a very affordable price as well. I would highly recommend!

Wow! I got this and thought for sure it would be awesome. Easy to put together, set it up. I was careful enough to screw it into the base tight (base is 80 lbs), always made sure it was closed up tight at the end of the day. All good, right?? Until the first wind gust (Im in NH, no tornados here!). Today I got home and the top half (right below the opener lever where it screws into the base) is gone and in the bottom of the pool. I had to be extra careful to fish it out as I have a vinyl liner and it clearly tore abound the threads where it screws into the bottom half leaving sharp edges. I tried to salvage it but the the screws that hold the plastic housing for the opening cable completely ripped out. Its not even 3 weeks old and Im going back to a wood one. Never had an issue with those. If you want something thats going to last, this is not it.

UPDATE FROM 12-2023: I have changed my 3-star review to 4-STARS!!! This umbrella is pretty darn great! It's still a little on the cheaper side - BUT - man have these lasted over the years!!! We keep them in the shed during the off season, and thru the summer I try to not keep them closed all the time so the sun doesn't bleach/fade the color. They still work great and we use them often. They are still ticking and it's been how many years now... you won't be disappointed with these babies! It's a good, middle-of-the-road, patio umbrella without breaking the bank. COLOR: The LIME GREEN color IS a true lime green! I've read that other people received a hunter green version... maybe they just didn't select the right color in the drop-down window online before "adding to cart" or the seller did in fact send the wrong item... but I selected LIME GREEN and that's what I got. QUALITY: Pole: It's good, strong, but if you don't screw in the bottom post well, it will be a little wobbly. Fabric: Nice, thick fabric. However the very first time I opened the umbrella, the little velcro tab (that holds it shut) started to de-thread it's stitching! So, I just used some fabric glue to keep it from tearing off. UGH! UMBRELLA CRANK: I really DO NOT like the "auto tilt" style. It's on a pulley-system... and the rope that is used for the whole umbrella looks cheap! I can't imagine it lasting long... So, when you go to open it up, it works just fine. THEN, we you get to the part where it's completely open, you CONTINUE to wind the crank to "auto tilt" it - but cranking this is very hard, and it feels like you're going to snap the rope!!! I'm very delicate with how hard I crank this! Once the tilt kind locks in place, or gets to the point of no more tilting, you can reverse the crank to un-tilt the umbrella, and then close it. HOWEVER.......... if you continue to unwind the umbrella in your reverse direction... the pulley system will start working again and you'll begin to REOPEN the umbrella!!!!!!!! So annoying! That's why I said this is an "OK" umbrella. You get what you pay for. Sad that spending around $100 bucks doesn't get you great quality anymore. OVERALL: It's an okay umbrella, and if taken care of properly, it will last a couple summers. We always bring it in on really windy days, and thunderstorms because I believe in "if you keep things nice, they'll stay nice - for a long time!" Plus, I actually used a couple zip-ties, and secured it around our railing, just to help the umbrella not blow over when the canopy is fully expanded.

I'm really happy with this purchase. We got the red color with dark bronze hardware and it looks great. The umbrella came almost fully assembled - you just have to screw the bottom pole into the top and it was up in less than a minute. The crank works very well, is easy to turn and holds the umbrella fully open without slipping. The tilt mechanism is a little tricky to reach depending on your height and the width of your patio table but isn't very difficult. Everything seems well made and sturdy and I think it will hold up well. A couple of accessories may be worth getting: a cover for when its not in use and a patio umbrella cone/wedge, both sold on amazon. The latter keeps it centered on the table and will prevent it rotating when tilted in a light breeze.

ok, gotta say first, this thing is "huge"! and heavy....had a 9' umbrella that was destroyed in a storm, it was a decent one, but didn't cover as much area as my husband wanted. so when getting a new one, it had to be bigger! and this one fits the bill! it came well packaged, and couldn't believe my husbands eyes when he went to put it up....it almost didn't fit (opened) on our back porch. he ended up putting it, not in the table hole, but a self containing umbrella stand in the corner of the porch, and to his amazement, shades most of it! all in all, it was a great price, for the size, he's very happy with it, covers our sitting area perfectly.....it tilts flawlessly, I have a little trouble putting it back up after tilt to fold down (cuz' it is heavy), but husband has none (he's definitely stronger), the trick he says is to pull down on the umbrella spokes as you push in button, we'll see if I will ever be able to do it, but for the most part, I think it was a great investment.

I purchased twice - the first time the item appeared to be a used/returned item - the fabric was diluted/faded in spots - sent it back. Ordered again - loved, loved it for few months and then to my great dismay when a few weeks before end of season, the tilt mechanism broke. After that, the umbrella was stuck in full tilt angle. So had to take it down. I tried to duct tape it, but didn't work. I had ordered this umbrella after seeing it has one year manufacturer warranty for same on Home Depot site, but then found out, that's only if purchased via Home Depot. However, Amazon took care of it for me and I was thankful otherwise it would have been $94 down the toilet. I decided to wait till Spring to repurchase an umbrella and the sun made me nuts those few weeks last Fall! I may repurchase the exact same item, however will do it via Home Depot for the one year manufacturer warranty since I know the tilt mechanism is prone to breaking (I had only tilted it a few times) and also I will purchase with a credit card that doubles the manufacturer warranty. Great umbrella, just not sturdy enough built to last. I advice purchasing but also do so in a way to protect your purchase. I notice a lot of brands have reviews about the crank or tilt breaking - they should offer the option to purchase a warranty for these products like for electronics.

I looked for a lime green umbrella for weeks and I finally decided to check Amazon .. sure enough, after a quick search I saw this beautiful umbrella! I read the reviews and decided to give it a try and I am so glad I did! The color is the exact color I was looking for and it was the perfect piece for my small back patio. The rug on the other hand .. AWFUL. It faded within a few weeks of getting it but the umbrella has been in the same sunlight for the exact same amount of time as the rug and it still looks great! I also bought the Abba Patio 53lb Square Steel stand and it is well worth the price as it has been able to withstand some pretty intense Florida storms!

Great umbrella! Well built and the beige is a great colour. Amazed at the quality for this price. Summer 2021 update: we are very careful, store this inside over the winter, bring it out of the rain except when we are using it. The string inside snapped! I contacted Abba, and they said they sell no parts and it’s not serviceable. :( 1.5 years of very gentle use is not a good value.

Based on the price, I was expecting a flimsy, off-color parasol I'd use for the summer only, but not so. The color was exactly as advertised and the bar is very sturdy. Very good value for the money.

Love this umbrella. It looks beautiful on our deck and the 9ft coverage is awesome. Quite sturdy. Wobbles a little bit with the breeze but has never tipped over.

I am very happy with the quality of this umbrella and how easy it is to open and close. The colour (turquoise) is perfect -- just the shade I wanted. Overall I am very pleased with my purchase.
