Sizing is ludicrously small
The gloves themselves are fine -- they feel nice. But the sizing is absurd. I ordered Large; I am a male with average sized hands; (no tiny Presidential fingers, no Lebron-sized dinner plates.) The gloves are so small that they fit my petite wife, who has tiny slender hands. I can't even get my hands fully into them. The end of the glove is on my palm. See the picture below.

Worked well for 80 mile trip
Bought these after a 80 mile kayak trip down the Suwannee River last year after I came home with raw meat for hands. I just got back from the second leg and 81.2 miles later and these worked great. Much better than going raw handed! I did get a very small blister on my left hand between my thumb and pointer finger, but that is to be expected give the miles I put in. I will be wearing them for the last 91 miles of the river.

Wore these for TOUGH MUDDER!
I wore these for TOUGH MUDDER. I wanted something that would protect my hands from raw wood and also provide grip from slippery bars. I wore it the entire time but took it off for one obstacle where we had to jump off a platform over open water and grab a T bar. I just wasn't sure if I'd slip and lose grip. It worked just fine across funky monkey bars. If it got too wet you could make a fist and squeeze it out. My friend that bought Mad Grips Gloves ended up ditching hers early on. I like that these gloves weren't thick and exposed finger tips. I was able to soak them and wash them out just fine.

There is no neoprene in these gloves. The back ...
There is no neoprene in these gloves. The back is lycra and the palms are some sort of plastic. They run small and don't stretch much because the plastic palms are stiff. My hand measures 7.5 inches around the knuckles the sizing says that a size small fits 7.25-7.75 but it would actually fit about 6.5-7.0 inches. I returned them.

Good glove, still had blisters
Wore these on our boundary waters trip to help prevent wear on my hands. These were great keeping the metal from the paddles off my hands. I liked the neoprene on the hands. While I understand the need for the leather on the hands it did make for colder hands when having to dip them into the water. My son got sun burned on the backs of his hands and this prevented this from happening to me. These fit for the trip, but were tighter than I thought they would be but they still worked for what I needed them to do. I removed a star because even while wearing them I did get a blister under them and they were a bit tighter than I thought they would be based on the sizing I ordered.

Good grip on monkey bars
UPDATE: I tried to do monkey bars in the rain and simply couldn't. I am not confident these will work as well as I hoped in wet environments. They are still great for dry training though and for the price I'm very happy with them.Original review: I bought these gloves for a Tough Mudder. As I am writing this review I am still training and have yet to do the actual event. They are very good for monkey bars. I was struggling with the bars at my local park because by the time I ran my sweaty self to the park, my hands were too slippery to grip. With these gloves, grip is no longer an issue. I especially like the Velcro wrist straps because they keep the gloves from slipping off my hands. I am a woman on the tall side, so I bought a size medium. They fit great.

Very Useful!
I got these for a five-day rafting trip where I was worried that my hands would get torn apart from holding a paddle all day. These worked really well for me! I like that they are fingerless and they were very comfortable while paddling and helped a lot on my trip. I will say that the sizing is a bit smaller than I thought it would be. I have small hands for a girl and I got the smallest size and these were riding the line on being too small and being uncomfortable between my fingers. I would say unless you are a child or have very small hands to go up a size to be safe, the wrist is tightened easily with a velcro strap so I think even if these happened to be a little too big you would do just fine.

Perfect for OCR or working out.
Love these. Originally bought a pair of these for obstacle course races, and they worked great for those venues, although you'll want to take them off for monkey bars and rigs (bare hands grip better when wet, so just do it). They've also been my go to workout gloves, and I finally wore them out after a year of heavy use (5 OCR and workouts 3x/week for over a year). This is a replacement pair. I like the 3/4 finger length as it protects my grip better when lifting, and the neoprene backing material makes them quick drying. Pads and wrists are still in great shape, but the fingers started to split (but I really hammered them, so no unexpected). Like these better than workout gloves, as the pads are about half the thickness and you get a better grip.

Perfect for kayaking and paddling.
We love to paddle and kayak. Even though we just do it only 5-10 times a year, the water on your hands can cause blisters. These gloves prevent blisters an allows a nicer time on the water. The price was right.

comfortable fit for my L/XL hand size
comfortable fit for my L/XL hand size. Wore them for 5 days straight sailing as I didn't have my sailing gloves and they held up to the ropes. They are better suited for paddling though.

Great for obstacle course events and activities
Great for obstacle course events and activities like Tough Mudder and can double as a general activity glove. Fits true to Small measurement.Price can vary wildly depending on seasonal/arbitrary pricing and sizing availability. Can be up to 25-30% cheaper than list price. At least one other competing product exists that looks almost identical in construction except branding. Look out for it and find the best price for you.
