d-c-fix Milky Self-Adhesive Privacy Glass Window Film, 17" x 78"

I recently bought a house that has a panel of windows in the garage door, and a garage side door with a window that goes directly outside. I'm a bit paranoid about people peeking in to see what I have and needed something to haze over the windows. 6 of the garage door windows are glass while 2 are plexiglas. This stuff went up very easily, though you'll probably have to play around with it your first piece. The curl kind of is a pain in the butt to deal with, so I'd suggest laying the pieces you want to put up under something to flatten them first. I wasn't patient enough for that so put them up as soon as I cut them to size. Peeling the paper backing off will make the film very static-y so keep that in mind. This definitely is not a vinyl cling. The sticky side is quite sticky. Your best bet to be bubblefree is to align at the top only in the top two corners press those, and then using your fingers only, press all the way across. Using your fingers only, go back and forth about an inch at a time down. Any bubbles that come up while you do this you can easily press and massage out. Very happy with the end result. It obscures pretty much everything and is like 'Mr. Magoo' vision wherever it's up. All I could see from the outside looking through it was a hazy red blob which was my car. If you don't cut quite to size, you may have tiny slivers of uncovered pieces between the film and window edge which really nosy people could peek through and see. I had this on my side door and to solve I just used some electrical tape to cover up those sections. Overall great product!

Pros - It was easy to apply and fairly easy to re-position, - It comes off easy without leaving any residue, - Lets in bright light, - It is made of transparent plastic, but because of the rough surface, it provides good privacy. Cons - I ended up with a few small air bubbles between the film and the glass.They may or may not go away. Overall, I'm really satisfied with this purchase.

I bought this to cover a two piece bathroom window. The product worked well for this purpose. The pattern lets in ample light while blurring what can be seen in and out of the window. At a very close distance you can see things through it, and it might seem as if the film is not opaque enough. Upon application and with a little bit of distance the view is acceptably fuzzy. Application is fairly straight-forward. I did not use a "wet" method, but just smoothed it from the end with a plastic scraper as I went along (the window panes were not very large). I had two minor issues. I had to re-position one piece, and pulling it up left "pull" lines across the width of the film. It sticks very well and could not be pulled up in one smooth motion. The lines were faintly visible after reapplying. The other issue has been mentioned by other reviewers - small bubbles. My bubbles appeared only after it had been applied. There did not seem to be any when I pressed it down, but a few small ones materialized later. These are mainly visible at night with the light shining out. So far, the film has not curled or released at the edges or corners - despite being above the shower. The product worked well, applied easily enough, and suited my purpose - however, it might be best suited to small windows where it can be handled and placed without needing too much adjustment. Using a wet application might solve the issues I had, though.

After reading other reviews of privacy film by DC Fix in different patterns, I decided to go with the "sand" pattern even though there were no reviews yet. Glad I did. This film is very easy to put on, sticky enough but still repositionable (is that a word?), and very forgiving. As long as you can measure and cut a straight line, you can apply this in a few minutes. It does a great job blocking views both ways. Now my neighbor can't see right in my window, and my dog can't see out to bark at my neighbor. Lets in a soft light. Bought more to do some other windows.

This was exactly what I needed and I had looked in a number of places before I found this. I needed to cover a bathroom window and didn't want to mess with heating the film and scraping out air bubbles. This was just the right size, went on like contact paper and provides privacy but allows the light through. I was very pleased with the product.

Great product. I used this on a large oval window in my front door and a small window on the back door. It took a little while on the larger window to get all of the bubbles out ( the instructions online read "more water, more better", not well stated, but very true). I will be ordering more for my bathroom window.

I purchased this product as well as a static cling version. Both are equally opaque but at this time I would recommend the cling version over this one. It sticks to the window very well (almost too much so). Has a lot of bubbles that are tough to remove without pulling the entire sheet off and starting over. That being said, it will soon be winter and I am concerned how he static version will hold up to extremely cold glass and condensation.

My front door has a huge glass panel that's great for letting in light but all of my neighbors can see directly into my kitchen. This has been great for privacy and the only thing you can make out from the outside are really vague shapes. Some reviewers seem to have had a hard time getting the bubbles out but I didn't have that problem. The length of the roll didn't quite cover the entire glass pane so I had to cut a few small pieces and patch up the areas that were left unfrosted which ended up looking a little weird. Overall I'm glad I went with it.

Das ist die bisher beste Folie die ich bisher benutzt habe. Das Anbringen war einfach und fast ohne Blasen im ersten Versuch. Die Folie klebt auch sehr gut. Statische würde ich nicht mehr kaufen😅

Bien occultant et surtout très facile à poser. Cela fait deja plusieurs que je l'ai installé et ça ne bouge pas ! Je rachèterais les yeux fermés !
