Great product for the price. Used on a car but recommended by a friend who has two already ( one on a motorcycle and the other on his cars ). Easy to fit. No drama. Using battery clips ( not tried the internal volt connector yet ), If you are looking for a decent valued trickle charger then you cannot go wrong with this. Thumbs up!.

Lower score because the delivery was very late. I purchased this charger because the 12volt battery on my hybrid car failed to start the car after a few days without use. I found it simple to instal by fitting the solar panel to the front windscreen, passing the leads under the bonnet and clamping to the battery terminal. This is 7.5w larger than the previous 3.3w purchase. Time will tell

Good size solar panel that even in low light delivers just the right amount of power to keep the battery of my motor home permanently topped up. It is very simple to connect and disconnect, so no messing about undoing things, and It has an indicator light letting you know when it’s charging. So far very pleaseD with it.

I purchased this to keep my motorhome battery on a trickle charge as the alarm tends to flatten the battery. I connected directly to the battery as the cigarette lighter sockets are not live when the ignition is off. The battery still went down even if the bright sunshine it does not do enough I decided instead to use it for charging an iPhone when off-grid, simply connected it to a cigarette lighter adaptor using the croc clips supplied, the light for the charge cam on okay but the iPhone does not even show as charging I would not bother with this as it does not seem to be able to do what I needed it to do I checked the output and it was 36v which I assume will give the 12v at 3W as stated If you are looking to keep a vehicle battery topped up (not charged) I would not bother with this

I have two cars I intended to use this charger on. The first is an older Citroen Picasso where I installed it on the rear parcel shelf connected to a rear 'always on' cigar lighter socket. This seems to work OK and I have had no trouble. Have left the car for several days, come back and battery seems strong on starting. Now the 'But'. I connected to my daughters Mazda 2 at the one and only cigar lighter socket. I was surprised the charging / connected green light came on as I know some other devices do not work from that socket, but the lighter itself works for what it was intended. Anyway I left the car for several days in strong day time sunlight. Green light was on during these times. However when I came to start the car after two or three days the battery was completely drained! I was going to buy another of these chargers for her car, but not now of course. I have no real idea why one car would be fine and the other not. I thought the electronics would prevent the charger being a drain on the battery while there was no sunlight to charge the battery but seems not. I could test by having the charger attached direct to the battery terminal posts, but in all truthfulness I am not that interested just yet.

I have this set up on the caravan front window to charge the battery while caravan is in storage.

I bought the unit last year and had no issues until 5 days before the warranty expiry date, the trickling indicator stopped working. I mailed the support team with the fault support by photos, they responded promptly and without any delays they offered my a free replacement (newer model) I am very impressed with the support team, their prompt response and the speed they mailed the replacement.

Tapping the sun to trickle charge my riding mower battery makes sense. The storage shed I use does not have electricity so this is a cost saving alternative. Quality device with multiple ways to connect items being charged. This works on my generator as well. Keeping the battery topped off waiting for the next hurricane!
