is the part a replacement for norton 271N?

Yes, but there are several plug styles used depending on furnace manufacturer. Please compare the detailed photos and verify that this is the correct plug for your application. There are two high temp. ceramic wire connectors also included but then you will have to cut and strip the wires. Thanks for your inquiry.

Does this work on a York diamond 80

Unfortunately, we are unable to look up parts by specific furnace models. Please compare the detailed product description and photos to your existing part. This one may work for your furnace, and Amazon ASIN B007UTWJH6 for York applications is similar, but has a different plug configuration. Thanks for your inquiry.

Will this replace ign00054?

Yes it should but please verify by comparing the detailed photos and description to your existing part. Thanks for your inquiry.

Do they make these with female plug the connector from furnace wiring is male as well or can I direct wire it and if so can wires be connected wrong

This ignitor is designed for 120 volt applications. Some older furnace models use an 80 volt ignitor, and sometimes the plug is reversed to prevent connecting the wrong item. If you are replacing a 120 volt ignitor, it can be connected with the included high temp. wire nuts. Polarity is not critical. Thanks for your inquiry.
