What is the thread spec for the threaded mount on bottom of detachable receiver?

Standard Camera Tripod thread = 1/4-20

I have to ask: How many have shot that camera down at the target? (lol)

We have had the older version of this system for more than 7 years. We have three shooters on target and have never come close. Our targets are about 5 feet off the ground and we can set the camera off to one side a little. But we could go head on if we wanted. A novice would not need this item. Like others have said below, sight in and use your elevation correction to stay on target. If you can't do that, and are missing 5 feet low and 3 feet left or right you have other problems that you need to work on before buying one of these.

Does this require a wifi signal/ internet connection? Or is the wifi just from the camera to receiver?

It’s a wireless signal from receiver to camera. You put the camera near the target and the receiver close to you. Then you download the app with a smart phone and use your phone as the camera viewer. No internet connection needed. It works nice 600m and in but I haven’t tried it past that distance yet

What (if any) built in ballistics calculations does this offer?

It does not measure ballistics it it not a chronograph it is a targeting system. A very nice one at that! It shows your shots, and adjusts your scope for you. Tells you how many clicks to put your scope on bullseye.
