Good hand balm
I used the hand balm, and it exceeded my expectations. It effectively soothes and moisturizes my hands, providing lasting softness and comfort. The scent is reminiscent of Wintergreen Lifesavers, which gives it a pleasant and refreshing fragrance.

Badger Balm is Da Bomb (for PMC)
Ok, ok...I'll admit it. I'm a convert. Looking back I am able to see how silly I was - but at the time, purchasing Badger Balm just seemed...unnecessary. Like a luxury. Why pay for Badger Balm when I can use olive oil to work with metal clay (PMC) and use lotion to condition my skin the rest of the time? I would rather spend those bucks on more PMC! Or so I thought until I took the plunge and bought some Badger Balm. In my defense, olive oil is cheap. And readily available. And easy to use. And natural, so it's safe for kids and those with allergies. And a little goes a long way. But...BUT...those things said, there just isn't any comparison with Badger Balm. Talk about a little going a long way? Hello! Badger Balm has that covered. The smell? A light, fresh scent - nothing overpowering or stinky. It isn't greasy. Don't get me wrong - it does kind of "coat" your hands, but it doesn't leave your skin feeling greasy - or like you're helpless. You can still open jars with Badger Balm on...not so easy with regular lotion, impossible with olive oil slathered all over your digits! Badger Balm easily coats your PMC tools and work surface - without leaving everything "slickery", if ya know what I mean. It also seems to be a good skin conditioner in general - I finally remembered to put some on my feet when I went to bed - and it helped to soften the skin. I can see how using it on a regular basis could easily eliminate dry, cracked heels. (Not that mine were that bad, mind you.) This is the perfect moisturizer to throw in your purse. So here's the low down: I would buy this again. Especially since it seems the 2 oz pot I bought will last a very long time. I like this much better than olive oil for use with PMC. I'm not sure how it stacks up against regular lotion - since I live in a very dry climate, I'm a lotionaholic. Badger Balm takes up less space, won't spill if you're traveling, and like I previously said, doesn't leave your hands all lotiony. Or perfumey. (I'm using a lot of my own words...sorry!) However, I have a hard time remembering to use it instead of lotion. The price seems reasonable - especially since it lasts for so long. I think it's a good thing to keep around - which is definitely true for those needing a good release agent for PMC...however, I don't see it replacing my lotion anytime soon. To be totally honest, I'm not sure I see a huge difference between Badger Balm and Bag Balm - except the Badger Balm seems to be lighter. I would love it if someone would please explain why Badger Balm is better than Bag Balm (for use with PMC) - and how it's different. (I don't believe either is water soluble.) Anyway, you now have the skinny on Badger Balm and how it relates to olive oil, PMC and lotion...and even a bonus question about Badger Balm vs Bag Balm. Try it - I think you'll like it.

Great product for dry, irritated skin!
Love Badger Healing Balm! Use in on dry hands in the winter and on our feet. When we have colds it works very well on sore red noses. Heals skin fast. We trust the ingredients. Great product!

This stuff REALLY works!!
This stuff really is great for soothing and protecting dry and cracked skin. I have been using it for years during the winter months and love it. It's a little greasy when first applied but that feeling quickly disappears.

Smooths rough knuckles
I've developed some really dry, slightly cracked knuckles year-round and wanted to try something with less chemicals than O'Keefe's Working Hands cream. I've only been using Badger Balm 1-2x a day for less than a week and my knuckles are already significantly smoother and more hydrated! I also don't have to use much to get the job done, which is great since the tin isn't very big for the price. Knocking off 1 star because this balm does feel a bit greasy for a few minutes when you first rub it into your hands, and the smell (while not overpowering) could bother some people who are sensitive to wintergreen. I will definitely keep using this balm and would recommend it to someone looking for a non-toxic option for smoother hands!

Proven Healing Effectiveness and Positive Results for Hands AND FEET!
After trying this product for the first time during the past month, I have been very favorably impressed with its effectiveness on my dry, cracked hands. HOWEVER, after I tired it on my feet I was even more genuinely pleased with its effective moisturizing properties in eliminating dryness and cracked callus skin on my heels! WOW! I just ordered two more cans of this fantastic product! This product seems to absorb into your skin, which obviously appears to be the contributing cause of its moisturizing healing effectiveness. No, I am NOT receiving any compensation whatsoever from the Seller or manufacturer, and if I was I would prefer more of the product than compensation for my appreciation and support of this product. I can also assure you this product worked even better than Vaseline Healing Jelly or Vaseline BlueSeal, which leaves a layer of the oily film on top of you skin instead of absorbing into your skin. Oh well, I've converted from Vaseline Jelly to Badger Healing Balm based solely on its proven and positive results for hands... and feet!

Amazing Product!
This product is amazing! My very dry, cracked hands improved within days of using Badger Healing Balm. Nontoxic ingredients and the subtle scent of wintergreen are other reasons to consider this product. I highly recommend.

so i too contribute my 5 star review: ) the balm works , have very dry hands due to taking certain medications and my general tendency to dry skin , tried many various hand/body creams/lotions etc....expensive, cheap but there was never really any positive and longstanding effect visible on the skin.Have bought this balm after reading many encouraging reviews. Now, myself tried the balm and can say : it works , quickly and effectively.what is more it stays on hands even after 2 hand washes!after the 2 nd wash I still can feel this protective layer of cream on my hands : ). skin looks visibly nourished ,soft and elastic, less wrinkled: )and this is only after 1 week of applying the balm!the tin itself is quite big and handy ( 56g/2oz), because this is a concentrated balm I use only small amount which goes a long way: ).The only thing I would like to point out is the smell: the scent of this particular balm( does nt apply to other badger products) isnt one I like a lot, this is due of course to herbal combination of the balm.all ingredients are natural and organic which is fab!however the scent is not very pleasant.what is the most important for me is that it does the job very well, for going out I may use other hand creams with slightly more agreeable scent : ) wholeheartedly recommend this balm to troubled skin, not only for hands , good for feet too . .
