Worked well. Had to convert from mm to inch in my case. But worked.

Worked well to check warped rotor
I used this to measure the warp on brake rotors. The magnet held well enough to the strut. The articulating arms tightened down nicely. The dial indicator worked smoothly, giving consistent readings as spun the disk around several times. This may not be adequate for high tolerance machining, but it's perfectly functional for this sort of thing.

Weak base
The magnetic base wasn’t as strong as I thought it would be but it still works just don’t hit the base while using

Nice to have the case
No way the base or anything else would hold 110lbs. Read the whole description. Does hold just really wish the magnet was a little stronger. Indicator is accurate enough for clocking. You get what you pay for remember and it’s true in this case but I knew that going in. Was nice to have the case to keep it getting covered in dust and oil.

magnetic base much too weak, basic use not possible
I bought two of those and both are horrible. The magnetic base is already falling apart (front plate falling off) and the strength of the magnet is so low that the measurement device isn't staying in place. The magnet can't even hold it's own weight after turning it on. Also, the dial is designed to be held at the back with a flimsy wobbly plastic bracket (instead of, say, a fitting on the collar). apart from the fact that I couldn't mount this due to the weak magnetic base, I highly doubt I would have enjoyed using this instrument.
