I needed a new charger when i left my old one at work and I wasn't sure which one to buy for my ASUS laptop, but this one works great and I've now got a spare!

Snapped my cable so bought as replacement. Works perfectly for my Asus Zenbook UX431F

I bought this because the cable was longer and after having a few chargers fail on me over the years, decided that something 'robust' would be a better option. It's definitely that. It's a sturdy, old school charger. But that's where it ends. I've been using this for a couple of weeks and was aware of how hot it was getting (to the touch) but presumed this was part of the old design. I did not expect it to melt and burn its way into my sofa. Which it did. I'm sending it back and I would recommend you buy anything but this charger -- who knows what it could do if it was left charging for a long time and in the wrong conditions. There is power going through the charger. But it is a little loose. Need to hold it place to charge
