Nice reel for the money
Haven't fished it yet, but it's everything you can ask for in a reel that's $30. Small profile and lightweight with a smooth reel. Should be perfeft for Ultralite style crappie fishing. I like how the reel crank has a little button that you can press to fold the handle in when you aren't using it. Saves you a few inches of space in your boat and prevents it from getting stepped on like I've done a thousand times. Edit: I fished it yesterday and it worked as well as I could ask for.

Great replacement reel for a good price
I love this little reel. I used it to replace a cheapo Shakespear reel on an ultralight rod and the difference is night and day. If you want a budget friendly reel for that walmart rod, this is a solid pick.

Great Reel For The Money
I needed another ultralight reel. I am a Daiwa fan. And I have a QZ750 which is Daiwas better 750 size reel. I did not have the money for another QZ so I figured I would try this one. And it would be interesting to see the differences. When I got this reel I could feel a difference. But maybe it was all in my head. Since it was starting to get cold where I live. I would mess with this and my QZ to compare them. The QZ is definitely smoother. And has a better all-around feel. But don't take this to mean the QR is junk. It is a cheap reel but it feels better than the price would make you think it is. It is smooth enough. Sometimes I think people get crazy over the smoothness of a reel. The only thing that needs to be smooth is the drag. and I have messed around with the QR and I feel the drag is smooth. I think the drag is the same as the QZ. But I wouldn't swear to that. I would by the QR again. It is a great reel. But if I had another $20 I would get the QZ. But I wouldn't feel bad if I had to get the QR again. When it warms up and I use it, if I feel I need to update this review I will. If it is not changed. I stand with what I said about it. Get one.

Favorite reel for ice fishing
I now have 4 of these reels paired up with 4 Mags Custom Rods 32” power noodles, and I don’t think you can beat that combo for panfishing. These reels are amazing little units with a smooth drag. They also don’t feel like it’s made out of cheap, brittle plastic either. Best part of these reels is the handle folds up, which is awesome for when I throw my setups back in my rod locker

Lightweight and dependable
It’s small, lightweight, smooth, and dependable. I originally bought it as a lightweight reel to use on my telescoping rod for backpacking. It’s been perfect. It is less susceptible to line blowing back over the spool like my small Daiwa reel. It’s great for backpacking since I can fold the handle in and down to protect it while in the pack. Since I found myself preferring this reel on my canoe and bank fishing rods, I have bought three of them and use them as my main reel for 4-6 lb line.

Not a bad reel but the drag is a bit of a drag
It's an OK reel but for the price I'd say go for an Okuma. This doesn't have many bearings and overall it could be a little smoother. But the thing I really didn't like was the multi disk drag, which is too much for ultralight fishing. It needs to be set very light to be smooth, but also isn't linear. So if you tighten it more than a click or two when it's loose, that's too much drag for light line. Would be ok for 6lb test or above, I'd say.

Teamed up with a Daiwa Black Widow ultra light dropshot rod 1-8gm with 6ib braid. This reel feels as if it was made for this rod, its so light and a very sensitive set up.. The reel feels quality and is on par with my more expensive reel Savage Gear sg6 size 1000.. The amount paid is peanuts for such a smooth quality reel which should be triple the price and still a good deal.. My fishing partner can not believe how light my set up is and keeps pestering me for detail's on where it was purchased. This model Daiwa reel is virtually unheard of in the UK with most ULF angler's only knowing of size 1000 reels + Overall a quality cheap size 750 reel from the in my view the best makers of fishing reels Daiwa..

Reel is smooth enough given it has 4BB but the line lay is terrible, even $5 China reels have better line lay these days, and its not a small reel thing, i have a Pflueger Pres XT 20 and it has perfect line lay. Maybe i got a lemon, but this sucks bad.
