Review: Vibram; Masterfully engineered for the runner - I have been a long time user of Vibram shoes. They are true runner shoes and activity shoe giving the user the most optimal minimalist feel while in use. Personally, feel that the Vibram Alphas are the lightest and most minimalist shoe that can be used for running. I posed a question about the Alphas. I wanted to know if it was good for running to the desertcart community. Some people said yes but only on trails. Others said to run with it but to be careful due to its thin sole. I've been using the Alphas for about a week now. They are GREAT! I usually get the Vibram trail. I went on and purchased the Vibram trails 2.0 due to it being the latest insert in the trail edition. I recieved my "Trail 2.0 today. I tried them on and they fit perfect. I usually were a 12 in shoes. I have wide feet and I'm flat footed. I orders 11-11.5 or 45 in Europe sizes. I'm giving you this information to help a future buyer. These are things that I wished other reviewers would mention on their reviews. The feel of the shoes feels like the shoe was custom made for my feet. Having both the Alphas and Trail 2.0 I can say that both shoes are made superb. It depends on what you are looking for in terms of performance. I would NOT recommend the Alphas for a new user to the minimalist shoe. Maybe high end athletes who are track runners or ballet dancers who are accustomed to staying on their toes. With minimalist shoes you are forced to stay on the ball of your feet while running. That is truly the correct posture of running. Why do you think many users of Vibrams who intially had knee pain while they ran, or plantar fasciitis no longer have those problems. Vibrams are for hardcore runners. You are using every muscle in your legs to run. If you are serious about running or getting into running go with Vibrams. Do your research on each type of shoe by going to the Vibram website. Use desertcart or the Vibram website to purchase the shoe that fits your ambition. I run on cement alot so the Vibram trail 2.0 works well for me. The Alphas works well for me on cement as well. Maybe I'm used to the minimalist feel that the cement feel doesn't bother me. Running in grass with the Alphas feel phenomenal. I ran in grass little bit today. If you aren't used to these kind of shoes let me forewarn you that your legs will feel EXTREMELY sore after a run. When people run in traditional shoes that aren't maximizing all of their muscles properly. The Vibram Trail 2.0 are a 5 star shoe in my opinion. Some of the reviews that give it less than than 5 star have reasons that don't necessarily point to the performance of the actual shoe. The Vibram Trail 2.0 are comfortable, and they are safe [I have worn the previous trails for years]. They are not the most minimalist running shoe (I believe the Aplhas are) from Vibram. Once you get accustomed to these type of shoes you will NEVER go back to regular shoes. Review: Stuffs people need to know - First of all, I love it but I have to say it is different, and it is not for anyone. The following review is really about sharing stuff I learned during my use. Starting with the pros. The vibrams are very lightweight and easy to put on. I have been majorly using them as outdoor slippers when I go out camping, working around the house and sometimes just walk around. They have great tractions and keep the feet breathing. Now, I haven’t actually put them for regular gym training, hiking and other outdoor sports, due to their major kinks. First, comparing to regular sports shoes and hiking boots, vibram has thin and equal thickness across the sole, so if you are heavy or just not used to exercise barefeet, you will feel way more pressure onto the back of the feet and way more shock then what you usually expected. But I do believe you can get used to it or overcome it by training the feet. Second, considering the low thickness of the sole, there are very low defense on the bottom. You fell very sharp feelings walking on regular gravels or rocks, and I don’t feel confident taking them for hiking. Sizing is the hardest part, since you need to choose the size base on the “true size” rather than your regular true size. I have returned about 4 or 5 times just to get it to work. It is not necessarily smaller than regular size, like if you are already wearing larger size shoes for more rooms, you don’t have to go up a size, but have to actually go down. Also don’t worry too much if you generally wear EE shoes, I didn’t encountered any problems. Also there shouldn’t be any outstanding wiggle room in the shoes, for best “adhesion” you need to have both front and back end of your feet contact the shoes, otherwise there might be slipping.

A well-made great product but you might need to order a size higher.
Well-made and comfortable. I've been buying FiveFinger shoes for over a decade. That whole time I have worn size 44. With this pair I had to go up a size to 45 because my toes were jammed against the ends of the pockets. The return/exchange was painless. But my question is why were these too small? I do have a new/old pair to compare them to. My wife had bought me a pair several years back for Christmas and then misplaced them. So, she found them this Spring and said "surprise." Those are 44s and fit perfect, which is why I don't get why these new V-Trails didn't fit me in 44. As an aside, I swear by Vibrams. Despite all the articles saying they don't really do anything, I will say that the one year I didn't wear them much (around 2021), I started having all sorts of problems: Achilles tendon strain, shin splints, and plantar fasciitis. So, I eased back into them like a newbie, wearing them in the house and for errands (short walks) and then moved to wearing them for exercise. Like magic my lower leg problems went away. I think it is because they barefoot nature cause the feet and the front shin muscles to work more. My lesson from that is to keep wearing them.

Excellent for trails
Fantastic shoe I absolutely love these. I do heavy trail running and these have served me very well. I’ve had them for about 8 months now and there isn’t much wear on the bottom. A bit of witch hazel and eucalyptus with lemon essential oil is perfect for keeping them fresh after each run and between washes. If you are considering these keep in mind they have zero ankle support so make sure you limber up and keep your ankles alive.👌🏼 July 2021 Update: I’ve had these for about 2 years now and as I mentioned above I used them for rigorous trail running, only recently have one of the soles developed a small tear on the inside seam of the big toe. For all I’ve put these through I’m more than Impressed, I’ll definitely be getting a new pair again and again. I never say this lightly but I absolutely love these shoes! If you’re looking for some high quality low profile/barefoot running shoes this is the brand for you. Well worth the investment.

The feel of the earth beneath
Good fit strong bottom for trails but do not stop on sharp pointed rocks and you'll love the feeling of the earth below you. You have to align your toes and slide over your heel. Enjoy, I have.

Replacement for the Spyridon? Absolutely not!
This was supposed to be Five Fingers replacement for the Spyridon. What a joke! The Spyridon was comfortable as soon as I put it on. It fit like a glove and was the most comfortable piece of foot wear I have ever purchased! This hurt the top of my foot as soon as I put it on, and only got worse as I walked around the house with them on due to the tongue of the shoe being sown into the shoe, rather than being integrated into the shoe seamlessly like the Spyridon. I DO NOT recommend this shoe to anyone! If I could get a hold of a Spyridon in my size, I would pay a lot more than what I purchased my first, and now only pair for because they do not make it anymore. What a shame. I have always wondered why companies, who make an amazing product, try to "improve" it by making a later model, and modify it to the point that it is no longer a good product. Why not stick with the product that sells and people want? Oh well, you have lost my business!

Very impressed with these shoes
Im surprised at how well these fit my giant wide feet. They're very comfortable and feel great. Like you're barefoot and yet protected. Watch a YouTube video on how to find your correct size.

Great Build Quality, But Uncomfortable Design Flaw
I’ve been a loyal fan of Vibram and love my KSO Evos and V-Trains. I was reluctant to use them for years because I didn’t want to look stupid but these saved me from excruciating planar fasciitis, so I was excited to try the V-Trail. Unfortunately, these fell short for me due to a puzzling design flaw. For some reason, Vibram decided to put two big, thick stitches between the toes, and they immediately caused discomfort the moment I put them on. The irritation was so bad I didn’t even attempt to run in them. It’s a shame because the build quality feels excellent—thick, resilient, and durable, yet still allowing my feet to feel free and flexible. However, the poorly placed stitching makes them unwearable for me. I had no choice but to return them right away. If Vibram revisits this design issue in the future, I’d love to give them another shot because everything else about the shoe is promising. But as they stand, I can’t recommend them unless you’re willing to risk the discomfort.

Acquisto super, garanzia Vibram

Disappointing
Get severe pain between the second and third toe. This is probably due to a faulty stitching seam. U fortunate, since I have not kept the MRP tags, cannot return these also

Ottime per mobilità piedi
Bisogna iniziare poco alla volta dal camminare e poi col tempo si può anche correre. Sono protettive ma ci si deve abituare perchè si sentono gli spuntoni sotto i piedi

Sehr teuer.... Aber sehr gut und bequem. Wöllte ihn am liebsten beim schlafen anlassen. Tendenziell würde ich ihn evtl. ne Nr. größer bestellen. Top Produkt!
