Bilston Batterseas story begins in 1968, when the twentieth-century revival of English enamelling began in Bilston, with the forming of Copper Enamels (Bilston) Ltd., by the Marshall family. Two years later, the name was changed to Bilston & Battersea Enamels and an innovative venture with a London-based antiques dealer, designing boxes based on those made in Georgian times, promptly followed. The name of Bilston & Battersea was soon established as a manufacturer of prestigious, luxury, enamel items collected around the world. This cute box features Pooh and Piglet each holding a teacup as they have a tea party with their friends. Inside the lid Piglet sits with his teacup ; lid is inscribed "Yum-a tum tum everything tastes sweeter...when shared with friends"
