THis book is absolutely a work of fine art. the story is beautifully concieved and described and the illustrations are out of this world, with every page framed in beautiful calligraphy, original text from ibn batuta's journal, and authentic 14th century maps. Good for ages 3+ in my opinion. this is one they will appreciate more and more as they get older. also great for adults!

Beautiful book, amazing layout and illustrations. Very good for children to understand the journeys of world explorers. Provides a good context for beginning of world travel and introduction to countries and cultures for 7+ year olds.

this is a very beautiful and special book, the pictures and calligraphy in it are unique. I love looking at it and it's very philosophical.

Would work better in larger formats, including print, but on a Kindle the images are lost. This leaves the text which is a mere shadow of Tim M-S books on Ibn-B's travels.
