Great product and easy to figure out dosage by weight. Very quick and easy use. Works well for not only the smaller creatures, but also the larger ones. 😊 Consistent quality, good value, and always handy to keep around. IYKYK. (Warning: Just like raw milk in California, it is NOT for human consumption. Animal use only. ) I personally rely heavily on reviews and try to include the details I’d want to know before purchasing. Hopefully sharing my experience helps someone choose the right item the first time 😊

The dogs love it
I purchased the Apple flavor. At first it does taste like apple but immediately it gets bitter. I had to try it before I dosed my critters. The dogs love it.

Serious side effects are rare
I recently ordered Jeffers Ivermectin Gel Dewormer for Horses, specifically looking for the gel version due to its smoother consistency and better taste compared to the paste. However, I encountered a labeling issue—my boxes all say "PASTE" on the outside, leading to initial disappointment since I ordered six boxes. Out of concern, I decided to open one box, and thankfully, it contained the GEL I wanted. The manufacturer really needs to fix the labeling, as clearer packaging could lead to higher sales. The gel is indeed much smoother and easier to swallow than the paste, which I appreciate. Regarding the product description on Amazon, it states: "Jeffers Ivermectin Gel Dewormer for Horses - Apple Flavored, Broad Spectrum Dewormer Paste - Effective Parasite Control for Worms, Pinworms, Bots & More - Safe for Equine of All Ages - 6 Pack." It’s important for potential buyers to be aware of this discrepancy in labeling. Additionally, while Ivermectin is generally well-tolerated, I want to note some common side effects, which may include headaches, dizziness, nausea, diarrhea, and skin rashes. Serious side effects are rare but can involve allergic reactions, neurological issues, and severe skin reactions, thus it’s essential to monitor for any adverse effects. If you experience any troubling symptoms, consulting a healthcare provider is advised. Overall, I am relieved that the product turned out to be the gel I wanted, but the labeling issue should definitely be addressed.

Demodex Blepheritis & Roscea
Off label systemic treatment for Demodex Blepheritis. Precise dosing required - DO THE MATH to ensure SAFETY. So for ME? - in MY? case - a 325lb 'HORSE? ' - you would need to administer precisely 1.6 grams of the 1.87% Ivermectin gel or paste - in order to get a 30mg dose of Ivermectin. There is 18.7 mg of ivermectin per gram of paste or gel. Dosing Rule: 150-200 micrograms per kilogram of body weight. I repeat this same dose 7 days later. Use a precise weight scale that measures to the tenth of a gram - I use my digital coffee bean scale. I DO NOT recommend using the built in weight gauge guide on the syringe - it's way too imprecise. Syringe contains about 6.0 grams of product - so one syringe is plenty. Your success may vary - but if you are still plaqued - XDEMVY was recently FDA approved as a external eye drop/topical treatment for Demodex Blepheritis. Additional uses include using this Gel form as topical ointment (Similar to Soolantra 1% Cream - though more concentrated at 1.87%) Yes it smells of Apple - but not unpleasant. This could be used to control Demodex that live/migrated to your 'HORSES?' eyebrows. Some have also mentioned much success with Roscea - due to the possible links of Demodex to Roscea and because of the Anti-inflammatory properties of Ivermectin.
