Great replacement for Tazo (and surprisingly makes a great cold brew)!
I was looking for a good quality loose leaf chai that tasted similar to my standby Tazo (i.e. Starbucks), and this is an excellent replacement with a very similar spice profile (no ginger, which I actually prefer). When making chai, it is very important to consider your TOTAL final liquid amount when deciding how much of the tea to use (I use milk/water in equal amounts), and this could be why some people find it much too weak after adding milk. I actually do mostly cold brew these days and drink my chai cold more often than hot, but based on many reviews recommending boiling the mixture first, I did try that first. I started off by boiling the tea in water for several minutes, then letting it sit for a few hours to cool down, then straining out and adding milk. I did find that using just 1 teaspoon tea per cup of liquid was a bit weak, and I have settled on approximately 1 1/2 teaspoons tea per cup of chai, which is about perfect. After boiling the mixture the first couple times I made it, I wanted to see how it would do if I cold brewed it and how the strength/taste would compare. I added 4 1/2 teaspoons tea (plus 2 Tablespoons sugar) to a quart jar and covered it with 1 1/2 cups hot tap water (I let the tap get as hot as it could first), let it sit for a few hours. I then added milk to make 3 cups, placed in fridge overnight, and strained it out the next morning. I was very happy that it actually turned out great! I really did not notice any difference in flavor from when I boiled it, and the overall flavor was very similar to using the Tazo concentrate (Tazo seems to get some hate from tea purists but I love it). One last note: I think people underestimate how much sugar plays a role in making chai taste like chai (especially if you are used to drinking it in coffee houses like Starbucks or using the concentrate). When making something at home, you don't realize how much sugar actually goes into those concentrates. I have found that using about 2 teaspoons sugar per cup of liquid makes it sweet enough for me (but is still only about half of what goes into the concentrates!).

Perfection for Traditional Indian Chai
Delicious! I love hot chai latte at $$ from that coffee shop found in every corner and at so many of our favorite stores. I followed the directions for the traditional Indian Chai ... PERFECTION! The packaging is superb, the flavor, the freshness, the some, ...the clear love of their product is evident. Get it, you won't be disappointed.

Great tea, but the new labels lack info
I love this tea and have been drinking from this brand for years. They have great taste and quality, and being loose leaf means you get more for your money than with pre-bagged teas. But the past few orders, I noticed that they changed the labels on this flavor (and others too). The labels were stripped of all the useful information. You used to be able to apply the label to the bag (or whatever container you use) and it would have everything you needed to know - name, ingredients, serving size, recommended temperature, and steep time. Now the labels only have the name and a picture, meaning if you didn't keep the box and don't have everything else memorized, you are out of luck for info. I really hate this change. Please bring back the informative labels so it's not necessary to keep the box! Pics included of the new labels vs the old ones.

Great Chai
So delicious and strong but not too overpowering. I do add my own ginger but otherwise it’s great

Oh, my. I may need a larger bag of this!
I just had to let you know how much I love this tea! Several months ago my husband gave me a lovely gift of a tea sampler, a variety of several kinds and flavors that included a chai blend (another brand). That was the first time I had chai tea with milk at home, and it was nice and I did use it all. A few days ago when I wanted to order more I decided to research and find an upgraded brand that specializes more in this type of tea. I read the reviews and product descriptions for this Vahdam Original Masala Chai Spiced Black Tea carefully and I’m so glad I chose it! The LOVE started as soon as I cut open the vacuum sealed package to pour the contents into the zipper sealed bag. Oh, the aroma! By the time I had my first cup brewed, with milk, the incredible scents had filled the air, but not in a heavy, odorous way that just hangs there, not by any means. The flavors of the spices blend together so wonderfully! This is a perfect blend of spices that are warm and interesting while also being mellow and soothing. I’ve been so tired of the cold weather but now am glad there’s still some nip in the air so that I can enjoy this tea hot for a while longer, both with and without milk. And I can see this easily becoming a favorite blend to have cold, too - looking forward to trying it that way. So while I’m far from being a chai tea connoisseur, I definitely recommend this blend and brand. My order was shipped and received quickly, was in very good condition when it arrived, and so I will order again from this seller. I’m intrigued now to try some of the other blends and will be ordering some of them in the near future, too! And finally, I admire and support the company’s mission of supporting ethical, direct and fair trade and giving a percentage of its revenue toward educating children of tea growers in India. Great job! I will tell others about your products.

India's Original Masala Chai
First, I have seen the Vahdam Brand in US, in my recent visit. My son told me that this brand is genuine and famous in US. I observed very good reviews on Vahdam at Amazon.com. After returning to India I bought various teas of this brand and tasted. Out of all ,I like the Oolong tea and this Masala Chai. Earlier to my US visit I never take black tea, there I have habituated double spice black tea of STASH. While coming back to India, I brought the same Stash. But comparing to US Stash product, our "Vahdam's Masala Chai taken without milk" is excellent. This is cost effective also While comparing it with US black tea. Now I am very much habituated to this chai and Oolong black tea. Tastes good and feels fresh.
