KidKraft Wooden Fire Station Set with 15 Accessories Including Helicopter, Bendable Figures and Dalmatian Dog

We've had this fire station doll house for a year and a half and it's been an excellent purchase. This is a quality product. PROS: 1) It was easy to put together. Instructions were clear and I got it done in an evening with no frustration. 2) It is STURDY. Our son has played with this as a 3-4 year old and nothing has broken -- nothing on the house itself, and none of the furniture. That's a somewhat amazing fact. He's not rough on his toys, but he is a little kid. 3) It's very colorful and none of the colors have faded or chipped or peeled away. The kitchen has a painting of a recycle bin against one wall. It's just very cheery all around. 4) It comes with a "lazy susan" bottom piece so that it turns for 360 degree play, which makes it especially good for a small room or putting on a table. MILD CONS: 1) The 2 firefighter figures are rubber but they aren't bendy, so they can't do much other than perch out of the firetruck and recline on the bunk beds. My son uses other toy people in the house so this isn't a big deal. He isn't bothered by the firefighter guys. 2) The firetruck ladder has an extension with no catch or attachment, so it ends up floating around the house. Again, my son doesn't care. SUGGESTIONS: 1) Velcro the lazy susan turner to the bottom of the house. This keeps it attached while not being a permanent decision. It would be great if the manufacturer included a couple strips of 2" wide velcro for this purpose. 2) Ditch the chimney, or redesign it. It doesn't latch into place, so it's basically another big piece of furniture. All in all, this toy is a big win. It's our first KidKraft purchase and I would trust this company again.

We bought this 5 years ago, and it was a great purchase! My grandkids love this and play with it constantly. It is well made and all parts are sturdy and toddler friendly. Great quality toy..

Bought this product for Grandson, and a doll house for granddaughter at Christmas. With just a few suggestions, grandson was putting out ‘pretend’ fires in the doll house chimney, and then granddaughter had a cookout and pool party for firemen. Of course, if you have concerns about suggesting any type of fire, could be firemen came to do a fire safety check, save a dollhouse cat from the roof, or a block party that includes the dollhouse and firehouse, etc. Use your imagination for the appropriate ‘play’ that includes siblings. Found this product to be great for establishing that sibling interactive play, with brother and sister, something I try to look for when possible when purchasing gifts for grandkids. Note- I noticed two issues when reading the reviews for this product which somewhat concerned me before I purchased I’ll address. 1. Difficulty putting it together. I gave 4 stars in this area, not due to difficultly but due to instructions. Instructions need some written que’s to make easier for everyone to put together. My son who has done a lot of building, mechanical work tossed the instructions and put it together with ease and quickly, however, not everyone has his background. I don’t think I, personally, would have had a problem but might have taken me a little longer than him. To get 5 stars, I would have needed to see some written que’s, not just pictures within the instructions. This would not stop me from buying but be aware, if your not good with picture instructions, and want to save yourself some time, arrange for some help putting it together from someone who is. 2. The fireman don’t fit in certain places. The fireman are stiff at first, however, are bendable. By bending them a few times, ‘bendability’ improves. Having a young grandson. I worked in bending his firemen a few times, after he played with them some, and this made it easier for him to bend. I also bought a pack of 4 little firemen to go along with this product, that were shorter, and had jointed legs so easy to bend. Found some very reasonable. They are a bit short, however, I explained to my grandson, they were ‘firemen minions’ that were learning to be firemen, and he readily welcomed them into his firehouse. I did not take away for height or stiffness of firemen because the more you bend, the more problem is resolved, and it didn’t affect my grandson’s enjoyment in any way. In fact, because of introducing the minions, he brought other fire trucks he had into his playtime with this product, including ‘Marshall’ and his fire truck, both of which fit in the firehouse, allowing for two fire trucks inside. Tight fit but he doesn’t care, and there is always ‘parking’ space outside! ****Final note I should have mentioned in the title and at the top- Can not say enough about the lazy Susan platform that comes with this ‘Firehouse’ playhouse. It takes up less space needed to play because of Lazy Susan, allowing for play in all areas of firehouse, with just a spin. It is square rather than oblong so fits easily on a table top, if needed, to keep out of reach of crawlers, young toddler siblings, pets. Although, very few small parts, mainly tiny dowel rods, built within furniture cabinets, that would probably require furniture to be damaged before accessible. It would be an upgrade if Lazy Susan was attached so it could be picked up without picking up Lazy Susan and resetting, however, can be slide across wooden floor, if done slowly, with Lazy Susan remaining under firehouse, and no damage to wood floor. Only firehouse/doll house I’ve ever bought for kids or grandkids that is so easily accessible in all rooms, and sides, for play from all directions, and also allowing for plenty of space, for more than one child to be playing with from different sides! It’s a winner- directions need some verbiage for 5 stars from me

I bought this for my 2 yr old grandson. He loves it. It’s well made & sturdy.It is as pictured. I recommend this toy however it arrived in a lot of pieces & happy my son-in-law put it together. It was time consuming but not difficult he said. My daughter picked it out for their son’s bday so I didn’t get the blame. Lol -Great toy!

I got this for my son for his 3rd birthday and he absolutely loves it. I had a family friend put it together for me so I can't speak to the ease of putting it together, but I did ask the family friend and he didn't seem to have any issues with it. It looks great with lots of detail and is very sturdy. The furniture is really cute and detailed (drawers open, etc.). Some people complained about the fire truck being flimsy but it seems pretty sturdy and is easy to push around. If you dislike the firetruck, your child can use another firetruck if he or she prefers, however the firetruck that came with the house is cute in that it is wooden and goes with the house. My only complaint is with the firetruck ladder which comes with an extension--there is no catch for the extension so it often slides down which may be frustrating to some children. The helicopter is very cute and well built, but there are no doors so if your child flies it around with a figurine in it, the figurine will fall out. I have heard some reviews mention how the helicopter landing pad slips around on the roof, but this problem seems to have been addressed as there are divets in the roof that the landing pad can be pushed into that hold it in place. The firemen are okay and fit in their beds.. They are a bit hard to bend enough to sit down but they fit really well standing inside the firetruck and my son doesn't have an issue with them. I am very pleased with my purchase and truly feel this is a well made product that my son will be able to enjoy for years to come. The lazy susan that allows the firehouse to be turned is great too. ***update***** (15 months later) My son still loves to play with this. Everything has held up well and he is definitely hard on his toys. The little fire truck is very sturdy and we've had no issues with it. This product has been played with very consistently and is still in great shape. My son has other fire trucks and those can be parked inside the firehouse as well. One of my best purchases!

My 2 1/2-year-old son likes this a lot. It was very easy to put together (but I have a lot of experience, so I'm not sure I'm a reliable source in that department...), and I DID put it together in approximately 45 minutes on Christmas Eve. The toys are durable and fairly well-made. I only have a couple of complaints - the 2 firemen are very different from what the photo on the box portrays. They are difficult to squeeze into the included helicopter (as if they were not made for that...) and don't fit in the beds. Also, the little "lazy susan" wheel is a bit small, and it would have been a nice feature to be able to attach it better to the house - it easily slides around. In my case, it was also cracked, but I believe that was likely a seller-issue rather than manufacturer. All in all a good product, and I don't regret buying it for my son. It is not quite worth the Ben Franklin some places charge for it, though, so shop around!

Adorable product for boys if they like imagination toys. It is super cute and is well made. I love the addition of the bell on top so my boys can pretend the station is alerted to a new fire. I personally really like the spinnable base. Unfortunately my three year old discovered it is a great feature to simulate a ‘tornado’. Of course he would do that lol. However I can attest to the durability now because the furniture and other items have easily survived the live tornadoes. I would definitely recommend. The size is perfect too.

Got this for my soon to be 4 y/o grandson for Christmas and he loves it! My 4 y/o granddaughter and 2 y/o grandson have enjoyed it as well. Wasn’t too hard to assemble, as myself and daughter-in-law decided to assembled it ourselves, but I did strip two screws. My son was able to easily correct that with some we had on hand though. It’s a good size and doesn’t take up much room. The platform it sits on allowing it to turn makes it easily accessible. It’s well made and they all love playing with it. I did purchase three extra firemen of a different brand that are poseable and well made. They fit in the vehicle and helicopter well and though a bit pricey, very much worth it. They love them!

Neat dollhouse alternative, doesn't take a lot of I'd abuse before it starts looking worn. We're six weeks in and it looks a little rough around the edges and a few pieces of furniture have had to be glued back together.

Great. Kids love them. But shocked after ordering it and was going to order a second and the price instantly doubled what I paid. I paid way less than $80 on Amazon for this item.
