Pet Crackle Heads Crunchy Chew Fetch Toy for Dogs, Large 4in | Crackle Ball Toy Makes Noise, Available in Assorted Colors

I’m rating this based on my dogs’ response to this toy – they absolutely love it, and it has seen more use without damage than any of their regular throwing toys. At the same time, unless you enjoy, REALLY ENJOY the sound of crunching water bottles, you may not like having this ball in the house. Pros: The rubber outer shell of the ball is durable, and can survive both chewing and pulling forces (as a note, my dogs do not concentrate on chewing - they use it more for play games). It’s big enough for my dogs to play tug of war with it, hooking their teeth in the mesh, and they since it bounces around if they drop or kick it, it makes the game more interesting than rope. They did crush the interior plastic, but they don't really seem to care. It’s much more engaging than a normal ball, and can be modified to hold treats, sticks, rope elements and other external bits, which my shepherd mix loves; he gets bored easily and frequently, and this can actually entertain him. Cons: This toy is loud, and produces repetitive crunching sounds. It is apparently really engaging to chew, and my dogs will produce the horrid plastic crackling up to half an hour at a time. If you let your dogs in and out, it would make a fine outdoor toy, but since I have a dog door, it migrates around to pretty much wherever the dogs are. I kind of hate it, but will probably buy another if they break this one since they enjoy it so much.

My min dachshund is 5 yrs old and this has been the ONLY ball she is committed to lol. It goes everywhere with her. I do think they're a little pricey but it's one of the few toys we have as a staple. They will last forever but sometimes the inside crackle ball will get crushed within a few hours of constant play. Other ones I've gotten have stayed in tact for weeks and weeks. But even still, my pup loves them even when they dont crackle anymore so I can still keep them and not rush to replace it. I've had a hard time finding them in stores which is where I bought the first one years ago so I heavily rely on amazon to restock. I usually buy 2 at a time so I can have a back up ready. So many dog toys are a waste of money or they end up a safety risk when they split open or the threads come undone or the squeaker falls out. This ball has none of those issues. I have no intention of ever giving up this product unless they take it off the market. That would be a devastating day for sure. If my pup loves it and is safe and it's the perfect ball for chewing, biting, throwing, chasing I'm all for it!!

Just received 2 of the large sized crackle balls today. Our golden retrievers (22months & 7months) are AGGRESSIVE chewers. We have found these to be extremely durable & long lasting. The picture has 2 large & 1 medium size. We bought the medium 5 months ago when we brought the puppy home. Even though the crackle center has become deflated in the medium size ~ it still crackles. They love the crackle noise & we needed 1 for each so I didn’t hesitate in buying 2 more in the larger size. The thickness & durability holds up against their tug-of-war antics to steal it from each other. The price point is perfect especially since these are long lasting, but even if it only lasted a couple months they’d still be economical. Planning to order 2 more to add to their outdoor ball collection. *For size reference the picture with 2 dogs shows the 22month with the large blue ball & 7 month old with the large purple ball. *Pictures with 1 dog shows large size for 7 month old & with him carrying the large ball everywhere around the house.

The day I gave my dog this toy it took him two hours at most to destroy the middle of it. I don’t even consider my dog an aggressive chewer. He does however love squeakers and always squeaks them incessantly. I don’t think it is the toy that’s the problem at all. I may have misjudged my dogs love for squeakers and noise. I’m sure most dogs would love this toy. I’m sure it would last a while. But if your dog loves to get the squeakers it may not last as long as you would like it to. I did buy him the large size cause he’s a big dog. I even purchased another one from another store when I was out. In case I didn’t have the right size. With the same result. So if your dog loves squeakers A LOT this may not be for him. It is a great toy overall. This is not meant to be a negative review it was just my experience.

There can’t possibly be that many 5 star reviews. My doodle was so disappointed when I had to take this away after just 30 mins of play. She loves balls and is not one to destroy her toys. I was playing with her when I gave her the crackle ball after I just opened the pkg. She would fetch it and play with it for a min. or 2 before I would throw it again. I could not believe how quick this just ripped apart. She only got to play with it the evening we got it. That’s insane. Do better making these!

My Boston's and Rotti love this ball. I had to get two more. It's great for the Boston's because they can grasp it with the way it's made with the softer rubber. They love the crackle sound. It's just the right size and weight for smaller like the Boston Terrier and Rotti. Easy cleaning, rinses right off.

My 70 pound dog loves to play with water bottles. He likes how the plastic crackles. They don’t last long as his canines punch right through them. I had seen the soft toys that crackled but not a ball like this. I have had JW products in the past. I bought one for my mom’s border collie and she used it until the dog passed away. Her current border collie has had it for about 5 years. The rubber on this ball is tough. It’s not meant for a heavy chewer though. My dog likes to bite down on stuff; kinda flexing his jaw muscles, but he doesn’t get in there and chew with the molars to cut off chunks. I’d say this ball wouldn’t last long like that. The inside plastic is thicker than cheap water bottles. It’s more like soft drink bottles. It gives a nice sound but doesn’t pop immediately. The rubber is infused with a vanilla scent which is a nice touch. Overall a good toy for dogs that like to fetch but aren’t heavy chewers. Would recommend.

Tengo un frenchie y es muy destructor pero ésta pelota le ha durado más de lo usual. Por dentro tiene un plástico que hace ruido(como botella de plastico) y esa parte si lo aplastó en un solo dia; sin embargo aun hace ruido y cumple su función. Lo recomiendo bastante ya que tu mascota va a jugar por horas y despues de varios dias no pierden el interés.

Petite balle sympa , mais après quelques jours que le chien à joué l'intérieur qui est censé craquer reste broyé et ne fait plus de bruit ! Donc le chien n'est plus intéressé...

Prima speelgoed voor mijn twee honden ! Ik had er enkele jaren terug eentje gekocht en hij beviel prima. Maar na drie jaar was hij aan vervanging toe. Ik kon echter nergens een winkel vinden die deze ballen verkocht. Plots kwam ik hem tegen bij Amazon en heb er onmiddellijk VIER besteld en kreeg verschillende kleuren geleverd. De honden zijn weer erg blij ( en ik ook ! ) :)

My American Bully destroys all of her toys but the JW ones last longer than most. She likes the noise this one makes while chewing on it.

These are the best balls ever, my dogs love them. They are tough and dont break easily. They get a tough work out every day and the rubber is still intact. The crunch inside is no longer a ball shape but it still crunches. They are the longest lasting balls I have ever come across. Highly reco mend them.
