Dangerous and unsafe fitting for the universal base provided - SHOULD BE RECALLED FOR SAFETY
This top box is supplied with a dangerous and unsafe fitting kit. I contacted SHAD by email to check if they make luggage rack for my Yamaha model, they didn't so purchase an OEM kit of luggage rack and sidebars. I bought this from Amazon and asked my bike mechanic (with over three decades of experience) to fit for me. Drove 200 yards over a bump and the box falls off. Sturdy enough to survive yes but exceptionally dangerous fitting kit. The box is severely damaged and is a testament to the poor kt provided with the top box. The kit provided with the universal base has tiny washers and screws which are not at all sufficient to withhold the stress caused by driving over bumps. The box is good and solid however it is a serious safety concern for bikers and other road users. In my instance, I was lucky and survived without hurt to self or anyone. I would not recommend this top box with the fitting kit provided. I also call upon Amazon to stop selling this product as-is and a recall is made for the fitting kit provided to avoid another serious accident happening on the road.

Quality
I read negative reviews before I bought the box but I found it to be well made. It has a large volume inside and is definitely water-tight after being caught in heavy down pours the past few days with no leakage found inside. Worth the amount paid for.

Miałem taki sam kufer w poprzednim motocyklu. Kupiłem givi do nowego motocykla ale nie byłem zadowolony, wymieniłem na ten shad. Zamknięcie w tym jest dużo lepsze (jak dla mnie).
