My 2 cents
This is a great example of a classic clutch Mech. And anybody that knows anything about Mechs also knows that this design ‘is’ and always will be the best (Go To) form when you need to mix comfort, grip, and simplicity, in a streamlined pencil. Now I have read a couple reviews on this mech that feels it fell short of what they were expecting. First off, this mech only falls short if you were expecting it to actually draw for you. Or was you expecting it to cook you a dinner? Listen, this is a fine pencil. If you have issues with it, then you really need to work on your own skills. I would definitely place this mech in par with the “Koh-I-Noor Rapid-O-Matic” line of Mechs, and would make a great partner piece for that set. The “Uni” Mitsubishi brand pencils have always been a champion in the ring. This 2.0 Uni feels great in the hand. It has a very nice metal grip. Yes, the body is plastic, but this isn’t a cheap plastic here. This is a nice plastic that will last for decades. The clip feels firm/sturdy for those that care about that, though I feel that’s a futile point. The “metal” clutch feels very strong and I haven’t noticed any lead slipping while adding excessive vertical pressure. You would break the lead before the clutch grip would fail. Anybody adding that much pressure should really think about buying more B scale leads and dropping those H scales in a drawer some place. Now, you should always choose a pencil that best suits your needs and feels more comfortable in your hand. Everybody will have a personal preference when it comes to what feels better. But this mech is the all around best design in general. Plus it’s made by a premium brand name that I feel never fails me. And this pencil isn’t very expensive when you compare the prices on a lot of the best Mechs on the market. Most of the greatest mechanical pencils will run you 10 to 50 dollars. Some very good ones even being priced as low as 6 or 7 dollars. So would I suggest this pencil to other buyers? Definitely. Is there cheaper options that is as good? Yes, there is cheaper pencils that will work fine, but you need to make sure the cheaper mech you buy, isn’t one of the bad ones. This is where finding a brand that you can trust comes into play. And I know that (UNI Mitsubishi) pencils has been a trusted name for years. I hope this review helps you with finding the right mech for you personally, even if it isn’t this specific pencil here.

Great value, great quality
Very light, tight clutch, comfortable and reliable, it's a good idea to keep several of these stocked with your favourite hardness. Only drawback is the lack of a sharpener

Amazing drawing instrument.
Amazing drawing instrument. At first I wasn't so sure. It felt so light, like it was fragile. And the balance is weighted towards the tip, unlike a pencil that's balanced in the middle. And it doesn't have click advance. But then I started using it and I very quickly realized it's my new go to pencil. I've read reviews of my previous favorite lead holder and read complaints about the heavy weight, but I didn't get it until I tried the lightweight. I won't buy any other lead holder, this one is the best.

Simplify your pencil collection. Save money just buying leads and the grip is really nice.

light and airy feel
If you click to release the pencil it drops the lead so be careful, it doesnt work like a regular mechanical but it is nice and thick line for marking.

Long point for different colored leads.
What I was looking for. It allows me to have a long point on my drawing lead.

LOVE these uni clutches! The feel, grip, barrel design and weight, balance, as well as professional aesthetics, quality and smooth efficient writing make these a favorite of mine. I would REALLY like to see a clutch pencil for 1.3mm lead. 1.3 is a very nice size also, but I only find pencils that click as opposed to clutch style. Of course it would be more fragile, but I am certain it could be done. Anyway, Uni clutches are great! I have purchased several just for the selection. None of them have ever broken.

Wrong lead hardness
The pencil is good, but it came with the wrong Lead. According to the product specifications, it was supposed to be a 2B lead but came with an HB lead.

Good quality pencil
Basic but well made automatic pencil. Bit to light for my liking but does the job.

A wonderful lead holder
it comes with 1 Uni branded HB-graphite already inside the pencil, it has a rough aluminum grip, with a hard red plastic body, 14cm/5.5 inches long. it feels wonderfully built overall. It's lightweight, and has a powerful spring inside that makes it feel like it will last a long time. I've been using it for a little while now for all my sketching and it's become a wonderful tool for me to use.
