Ok, I've been working very hard on bettering myself. Losing weight, quitting smoking, etc... So, when I saw what started to look like a mustache I was scared. I mean, I know I'll most likely get one in my 50's or 60's, but was hoping to put it off for a bit longer than my 30's. Even with makeup, I couldn't seem to cover the darkness on my upper lip. But it was weird because I didn't see any hair other than the little peach hairs I've had since 13. One day while swimming at the lake, my sweet 9yo daughter yelled "Mommy, do you have a MUSTACHE?!" Ugh. It was time to research. Apparently if you spend a lot of time in the sun, which I definitely have been, you can get dark spots, like dark dark spots, in certain areas, especially the upper lip, and this stuff can remove those dark spots. I was hesitant, but desperate. This stuff was cheaper than the rest, but seemed to have the same ingredients, so I got it. LIP SAVER!! I used it daily at night and within 4 days I was seeing a noticeable difference. It's been a few weeks now and there's been many times I've forgotten or skipped using it, but you can barely see the darkness. I wish I had a before picture, but I immediately deleted any pic that showed it. The first pic is before getting out of bed, so all that I have on makeup wise is left over mascara (bad, I know). The second pic I have makeup on and I don't appear to have a mustache. 3 weeks ago, that would not have been the case.

I actually thought I was buying a peel, so I was a little miffed when it didn't peel. But I used it as a cream, and I wasn't expecting much...but after a couple of months my skin just looked brighter and less pigmented. I got off of it for a while so I could finish some other products and it looks like I should've kept going with this bc some of the spots got a little darker again. Not a whole lot...but noticeable to me. This could be used as a stand alone routine with sunscreen unless you have really dry skin. Mine is combination and I experienced no irritation or dryness, but I am a seasoned user of AHAs and tretinoin. I would definitely repurchase again. You just need patience. It's an underrated product. Having said that, the company really needs someone to overhaul their bottle graphics and labelling... Didnt work as well as it should. It did clear the lighter dark spots. The darker spots were tough to remove. They did peel but no other noticeable difference.

I started having melasma on both upper cheeks in the past two years. Last year I started treatment in a dermatologist office with a PA and aesthetician. I used a prescription cream - it helped but did not take off everything, then I did a chemical peel, three rounds of micro needling. All those took about 5-6 months and helped a little but did not completely remove the dark areas. I saw this product and tried it. Some reviews say it is small and expensive, but it is a very small price to pay compared to treatments. In less than a week the remnants of my melasma are almost gone. I wish I found this product and tried it sooner. I dab the product on my dark spots before going to bed. It is not the most absorbent, but I made sure it was on my skin and didn't smudge on my pillow for at least an hour each night. I hope this helps someone.
