Worth the investment
I purchased two alarms four months ago to help protect my puppies from coyotes insistent on getting to them (pups are well and fine, now 7 mo old). Once set for alarm mode at night and placed into position, they worked very well for my purpose. I only had two spots on my courtyard wall that were low enough from the outside for coyotes to jump, so I placed both alarms in that location. One alarm was simply set on the wall itself, and the other was zip-tied to a pole outside the wall from where a past propane tank gas line had been run and no longer used - simple setup for placement. The alarm was triggered multiple times by the coyotes and appears to have stopped them from jumping my 6-foot outside perimeter fence (as noted by lack of territorial scat markings). I'm thankful to have found an inexpensive solution because the multiple motion sensor spot lights I have throughout the one-acre yard was not doing the trick! Of note, my puppies have also triggered the alarms, which scared them at first. They are no longer afraid of the alarms but steer clear because they don't like the sound, so I'm assuming it works the same way for feral animals, which means they will be trained to stay from a certain area but might try to find a different path. For the price, I am buying more alarms because I live in Arizona near the Mexico border and have a problem with illegals crossing my property and camping out on the two acres below, cutting my barbed wire fence and damaging my property. While I do not have neighbors really close like when living in a housing tract, sound carries here, so I will most likely only use a few alarms in select locations in alarm mode and try out the motion light function in other areas where the sound could bother my nearest neighbors. I doubt anything will stop illegals from coming through my property because it is an ongoing problem, but I'm hoping it deters them from having the time to cause further damage and feel comfortable enough to sleep below my windows! Things that might be questioned; Set up is fairly simple, but I was not successful in linking the remotes no matter what I tried - not a biggie on my part. Remote door needs to be slid down in order to find control buttons. Alarms did not function properly the first week due to needing to charge power again from electrical outlet. Once they were charged a second time, they have worked fine since off of solar. If you live in an area where the sun does not always shine brightly or the alarms are triggered frequently, they might need to be charged from electrical outlet. I have had multiple false alarms due to strong winds and strong rainstorms, which is most likely due to warm air swirling around with the temperature differences. Again, not a biggie where I live because I don't worry about the alarms bothering anyone (they can be annoying to you though). When triggered, the alarm will automatically shut off and go back into sensor mode after about 30 seconds. On one occasion, one of the alarms went a little whacko and kept going off for about 5 minutes. Thankfully, it re-set itself by the time I was going to go out to see why it wasn't shutting off. It appears to be working properly since that time. All in all, I am happy with my purchase and think it was a good buy because the alarms can be moved and used in different areas, so they will most likely be used until they no longer work (hopefully, not for a long time - but if not, still worth the price because they did what they were intended to do). Hope the information helps!

Works on Skunks and Fox maybe more!
UPDATE: Low Temperature Failures are common. Below 20 degrees F, the units are not responsive and do not alarm. 13 units are placed and none of them work until temperatures rise again. Otherwise, still FIVE STAR rating. I have a honey bee apiary and have always tested various motion detector alarm systems to aid in keeping skunks, bears, possums, and raccoons away. None of those animals want to have their presence known. Bears can destroy hives in moments, but they don't like loud noises. I purchased 8 of these and placed them facing various directions and at various heights. Skunks eat honey bees and they have been my most persistent bee munchers. I found that bears respond best when the alarm is placed somewhere that intercepts them before getting to the apiary. If they already get into hives then the alarms don't necessarily deter them. BUT, if they encounter noise makers before they are IN, then they walk away and then run. I've been testing these for several months before feeling that I could post a review. FALSE ALARMS - I learned that if the battery is low and there isn't enough sun to recharge it, the unit will begin to operate on its own and run itself down. THE FIX - I pull them and put them all on charge for 2 hours with the included charging cord. Results, back on track and responding as they should. I use them in the 3rd setting. Noise and flashing lights at night only. NOT WATER PROOF - I found one unit (we've had a lot of rain) that had lots of condensation inside and it also malfunctioned. We had lots of rain and heavy weather this summer. How you place the units makes a difference, if you can put them under an overhang (still low enough to receive sun) and avoid direct heavy rains, they work much better. You "could" seal the back with silicone grease to prevent moisture entry. FINAL RESULT- They do deter animals, including my Boston Terrier, and maintain a charge from the solar panels once initially charged up. If you use them the way I do, for night only, they should never need to be charged up by the cord. I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THESE UNITS IF YOU WANT TO SCARE SMALL ANIMALS OFF. The High Pitched noise doesn't carry very far, so there isn't much concern about waking the neighbors :)

Not a good security device.
The loudness may Startle someone, but it only last for a minute or So.setting the alarm is simple, but turn off the alarm is a maybe...one time you count to 8, the next time it may be 11 or 10. After working one night, the next night would not turn.on. I bought two for,my open carport. They get plenty of sun, but I had to charge one the next day with USB. Then the.other one stopped working. Not a good security device. Would not recommend.

Works as described but not great at deterring wild animals
Wish the length of the sound alert was adjustable but works as described. Red flashing light and alarm didn't do much to deter the bobcat stalking our chickens

Adequate for the price
Keeping in mind it’s a $25 unit.... Charges up quickly (solar). Detects motion adequately. There is no way to fine-tune the motion detection or control alarm volume (which is fairly weak). And the directions are unclear in how to re-set once triggered. There is a handy remote control, and pushing any button will silence false alarms. The flashing light is rather dim, but one must remember it is just a solar cell charge. So, given the relative low cost of the unit, the quality is in line with the price paid. If I were shopping for another security alarm I’d prefer one where I could customize the alarm zones/sensitivity settings, and change the volume on the alarm itself. It’s very light weight and easily attached to my wooden fence with one nail. I’m hoping it’s weatherproof, we’ve had a lot of rain recently! Changing shadows/sunlight and reflections from traffic are giving me false alarms. It would be ideal on a remote area of your property and not near your front door, garage, gate, or any pathway frequented by your family or pets. It’s a good deal for the low price, but consider your needs and it’s location prior to purchase.

Economical and effective
Had and incident where MAGA cultists entered our yard and tore down and stole a Harris Walz 2024 banner over our garage door. Mounted this on a porch post so that no one can approach that area without setting off the alarm and flashing red light. It's not super loud but loud enough that we can easily hear it and respond appropriately. Remote works well and is best kept in your pocket so you can tap any button and shut it down easily. Holding down any button for 5 seconds shut the unit off which is handy. When mounting it somewhere insure that it gets as much sun as possible so it has a good charge and can function. I suggest that no one mess with the internal battery because it's a LiPo and if damaged can give you a small but fiery explosion and fire that you will NOT like. I've seen them go off in airsoft AEGs (guns) and it's a mess. To date the only times it goes off is when the family cats pass it or one of us trips it, but it's loud enough to alert us and easy enough to deal with by remote. After next Tuesday this will be a moot issue but I may redeploy it to a fence section to deter bears that have been raiding the neighbor's garbage can.

This does what it was supposed to, for a while, then it started losing functions
I got this to set up an alarm in our open car port - 'night walkers' were visiting there all too often. The unit worked great, for about five weeks, then three of the four alarm modes stopped working. The remote still lights up with button pushes, but the unit only responds to one button. It will turn on the 24 hour alarm for day and night, but the night time only modes no longer work. I haven't found how to make a warranty claim (I suspect it would have to be sent back to China). I have a second unit, bought at the same time that I have just left on 24/7 set on a night time alarm and that appears to continue to function. The car port one is turned on in the late afternoon and off in the morning (this is the one that eventually failed on 3 of the 4 modes). Comments on the design: being in a car port, the failed unit had to be taken down every other day and put in the sun to recharge - no big deal. There is a charging port on the back, but you need to take it down to plug it in. Same as recharging via solar. There is a slot on the back near the base for a nail head to be slid into, and a nail hole on the top, but I need to wedge a piece of wood behind to alarm to hold it in place (so that I can take it down periodically to recharge it). Would I buy them again? Yes. It would be nice if there was a clearly identified, easily accessed warranty option, since I believe this is supposed to have a 3-year warranty. (I believe) (I have built a fence and gate in the back of the car port, so there is no longer an issue of unwanted 'night time traffic' - the alarm served its purpose until I got the fence built.)

These lights are perfect for keeping deer away from fruit trees
Loud and perfect for keeping deer and bunnies away from my fruit trees. Both work great. I've had them about 3 weeks. I had just planted 3 new fruit trees and the deer decimated them in 1 night. Not even a nibble since I put these up.

I’m happy 😃

Buen producto

Very loud, works well 👍
Worked so well I bought extras for around the yard. I live on a homestead in the woods. Our main predators are black bears, coyotes, raccoons, fox, weasels and rats. I keep a variety of livestock. We had a black bear coming around and ripping in to our coop. The bear eventually figured out the sound was the alarm and would stop running off. But the alarm at least woke us up to deal with the problem before we lost anymore birds. Now we keep them in various spots around the yard and no more predator issues 👍 the alarm is extremely loud and annoying, so if you have close neighbours they might hate you for putting these up 😅

Doesn’t work for raccoons!
Doesn’t even phase a raccoon. The sound and light was on and it played in our yard for over an hour without even flinching.
