Grossly expensive for what it is. Contains grit which is very off putting and just destroys your meal, almost broke a tooth! Save your money and stick with Himalayan pink salt!

Redmond brand is different from the regular health food brands of sea salt that you find in grocery stores, because it's from the mountains of Utah. In the time of the dinosaurs there was a large sea where the Rocky Mountains are now. Redmond salt tastes better and has trace minerals in it. I had already been using the unflavored Redmond Sea Salt and liked it a lot, so I tried this sampler pack. In addition to the regular salt, it has seasoned, onion, and garlic salts. These are superior to the kind of seasoned salts made by regular companies. They are a great addition to unsalted or low-sodium foods, when you want more flavor, but want to control the amount of salt you're adding. Though the bottles are smaller than the regular size bottles of Redmond salt, they are not miniature -- they hold a lot, and a little goes a long way. The wood crate packaging makes it a great little gift item for someone moving into a new home, apartment, or dorm. When you take the bottles out of the crate, you can stand them up vertically in the crate for better kitchen cabinet organization.
