I think this is a really cool and fun toy. My kids enjoyed it quite a bit. The fruits and veggies are cute and I think it got the interested in cutting fruit/veggies fit real. Helped them understand how to hold it and what to do when I got them an actual Montessori knife kit and let them cut their own fruits and veggies

I bought these for my 1-4 year old grands . They love cutting them in sections . The sections attach with magnettype fasteners. I’ve had this set for three years. The paint has never peeled. They are a good weight. The wood pieces are very smooth . The colors are very bright vivid. I thought I was a great value for the money because the kids never get tired of it.! It comes with its own little vegetable crate, which is very easy to throw all the pieces in and store it away

The first one I got had a tomato and strawberry that wouldn’t come off. But they immediately sent an exchange item on Amazon that was good. Kid loves them and can’t stop showing off!

One of our 6 m/o and 2 1/2 yr old’s favorite toys! Durable, good product. Allows for so much creative play. Got it for our first daughter maybe around 1, and she eventually learned how to put the pieces together, pretend cut them apart, mix and match. Great that it grows with them through different stages of play!

I like that this comes with a crate, cutting board, knife and peeler. That definitely sets it apart from some of the other sets currently on the market. The food is smaller than Melissa and Doug sets but still a good size for my two year old to play with. My biggest complaint is that the magnets are pretty weak and the food comes apart very easily. Again, that’s good for my 2 year old but my 4 year old prefers the sets with the Velcro (instead of magnets) because they are harder to “cut”. So I would keep the age of the child you are buying this for in mind. Overall, we enjoy this set for our toddler and like all the extras this set has.

My niece LOVED this toy and played with it non stop for months! Really helped keep her busy while mama was cooking. :) great quality, easy for her to use, and not to mention cute!

Bought for my 20 month old at the time. She was only into the colors and magnetic hold at the time since she couldn’t hold the toy and “cut it” yet. However, 4 months later, she’s “cutting” the toys like a pro. So glad I found these! They really aided her development in those motor skills.

I like Melissa and Doug to give us plastic toys as substitutes. My 4-year-old son likes to help in the litchen and has been begging for food, so when I came across this problem, I was very excited. Now he has his own food, which he can cut and eat safely. The food is well cooked. I'm glad it's in my crate, so you have room to store it. It has nylon buckles that stick the debris together. We all know that nylon buckles will be damaged over time, so that's my only concern. Only time can prove it. I strongly recommend it.

Good quality play food. My kids love playing with this and cutting up the food. It is magnetic which is what made me gravitate towards buying this set. Velcro over time wears down and doesn’t stick together properly whereas this set doesn’t have that issue and I’ve had it for a little over a year now and they’re still in excellent condition. Definitely would recommend. Comes with the box, a little cutting board, wooden knife and peeler and the food.

This wooden grocery set is fantastic for pretend play! The colors are bright and fun, and the quality is excellent. I highly recommend it for any little one who loves imaginative play and wants to work on their motor skills.

As mentioned above, my grandson (17 months) loves this toy, although he’s not yet into actually ‘cutting’ the fruits and vegetables. He’s just too young for that yet. He does like pulling them apart and putting them back together.. I have only two suggestions/comments. I feel the magnets holding the pieces of fruit or vegetable together could be stronger. Maybe if they were stronger the pieces would not come apart when sliced, but the way they are now, they often just fall apart when they are simply picked up and moved around. The other thing is that I had to take away a few of the pieces as I felt they are choking hazards. I realize the toy has age suggestions for safety, but if the pieces were all a bit bigger, this would not be an issue. Even if a child is old enough to to play safely with this, younger tots/siblings may be around who would put them in their mouths.
