Is this paper suitable for being printed on with a laser printer?

Yes the paper can be printed on by a laser printer.

Can you use ink on it to write? it says royal mail folds the item. are they putting do not bend sign on the parcel?

I would imagine you could use ink though the surface does have a slight sheen. I put it through a deskjet printer with no problems at all - as to the bending - there was no do not bend sign on it, nor did Royal mail fold the package.. It was well packed and arrived in excellent condition...

I need vintage paper to produce a photo image, reading reviews that it's shiny and can't be written on very well will this come across in a photo?

Using vintage style paper for a photo will darken the photo itself, because you'd be printing on tinted paper. Best to use some form of Photoshop/similar software to give an aged affect to the photo, then print it on good quality photographic paper.
